We enjoy staying here and seeing the animals. However, on this stay abd our previous stay, we have noticed that the rooms aren't very desirable. Drapes are very tired and everything needs a good upgrade. Carpets are very dirty, faded and fraying around the edges. Cleaning around the wood to the outside edge of the tub in the bathroom leaves a lot to be desired. No trash collection done either. Cast members could be friendlier. Where's the 'Welcome Home' gone? This resort is ideal for children but at times is extremely noisy. Balconies are very close and conversations within other guests rooms are often audible.

Stayed with family, room was excellent though smaller than other Disney Resort rooms. We had a balcony view and regularly saw a diverse range of different animals at different times of day and over the course of our stay. The room was clean and the staff were pleasant, some of the on-site activities were also great - the children really enjoyed joining a drum circle and using night vision goggles to see the animals. The design feels much more like a hotel than some other Disney resorts - mainly because it is designed to wrap around the animal areas to give the maximum number of rooms a good view, this isn't a problem but does mean you have to walk down various corridors to get to the "resort" parts. The swimming pool, slide and splash zone play area were all excellent

Our favorite Disney resort, it's like being on an African safari with all the modern comforts. Surrounded by the wonderful wilderness wildlife, the number of animals crossing by our room was an amazing sight to see, it's a different experience than the parks. We preferred the Kidani village over the Jambo house, as it's less crowded, and I like the large covered parking garage for our Escalade, and the kids preferred the pool area with larger slides and splash park. The 1 BR villa was roomy with a wide balcony. In the Kidani village, I recommend the second floor for the best views, as the first level is all parking, and the top level could have obstructed views from the trees. It's worth paying extra for the Savanna views over the standard, this is where you get to see all the animals from the privacy of your room, the standard views could be overlooking the street or parking lots. Another good tip is to stay towards the middle of the wing for the center view or next to the lobby area for convenience, as the halls are long. We stayed in room 7228 2nd floor, as you can see from our pictures, it gave us a picturesque view towards the middle of the Savanna sunset. Tranquility and peacefulness that the entire family loved!

    - Broken elevator from the parking garage into the room level of the resort for 5+ days. Good luck dragging your luggage from one end of the resort just to catch the elevator that works, then again drag your luggage back to the end of the resort where your room is. Trying doing this a few times on your own!!! - They will enter your room at any time when you are NOT in the room, if you decline house keeping. They have been doing this to all DVC member stays for years now that decline housekeeping. It's funny that their "motto" is "Welcome Home". This is NOT home. Do you see me entering your home AT WILL when you are not home?????

Fantastic rooms, savanna view is amazing. Stayed club level, food choices, beverages adult and kid were awesome. Parking is good. Only busses to parks, no boat, monorail from this hotel. Closer to local grocery than other on property places we have stayed

We stayed in a two bedroom villa on the fourth floor overlooking the animal in the courtyard. The view off the balcony where the animal (zebra/giraffe,etc) were grazing was beautiful, the room very comfortable and the bed very very comfortable. The bathrooms were nice as was the kitchen and I really enjoyed the African theme of the hotel. Excellent experience and will return.

Enjoyed our stay, our room was literally the farthest from the lobby so got lots of steps in. Cafe is little, limited choices, but food was good. Bread sampler was really yummy, coffee and tea good. Love being able to see the animals every morning and when just hanging out on the balcony. Great pool area, food, and drinks were expensive but great, had pretzel and Mai tai, great service. Room a little bit drab, could use some fresh paint, more colors. All the staff were great!

Wonderful resort if you want to get away and feel more secluded. Safari animals everywhere with all sorts of viewing points inside and outside to explore. Only downside is if you planned to jump around to the parks you can only do so by bus and it's far out of the way so it's a bit of a drive. Otherwise enjoy the quieter atmosphere filled with facts and history related to Africa.

Super themed hotel with great facilities. Rooms have good views for the animals that venture onto the centre animal areas. Various restaurants give some choice but standard food options limited for longer stays. Good pools, shop and fitness suite. Rooms a bit cramped when using sofa as bed as room has wardrobe, drawers, table, 2 chairs and two small tables in it. Shame no Murphy bed like other Disney hotels. Staff great and helpful to meet our needs but with check-in online felt a bit less homely than normal, no hotel information or guides in the room, these would have been helpful.

Overall: 3/5 Cool to stay so close to so many animals. Great for kids. On-site pools at Kidani are great for kids too. Bread service at Sanaa is delicious. Night safari a must do! Amenities: 4/5 Excellent! Animals, overlooks, viewing areas! Pools and kids areas are great and very friendly. Arcade, laundry, community room, lounge area all included. Buses to all the parks easily accessible and gift shop is stocked and has soda fountain. Only down side is parking is very difficult. Recommendation: Revised parking control and traffic plan. Add occupancy indicators over each space. Also, make a dedicated lot for cast members, saw that guests and crew share the same lot under the building. Technology: 2/5 App key works intermittently. Stays at other resorts in years previous, we found the app key to be completely reliable but at Kidani this year, it was hit or miss. Same phone, same app, same stay. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. MagicMobile doesn’t open the door. Have a keycard backup available. Internet bandwidth and quality is poor. Speed test in the early evenings results in 1.5/1.5 mbps with high jitter. Also wifi signal is completely gone in the throne room. Compare to my cell speed test at 35/7 mbps in the same spot. Higher ping, lower jitter. Gate guards frequently had handheld device scanning issues. Recommendation: Do better E2E integration testing. Room: 1/5 Extremely dated and it shows. Fixtures dated and old. Counters dated and old. Furniture is chipped (and not the intentional distressed kind). Only one nightstand in the room. One night I thought there was a nightstand on my side because I was groggy and there was a sconce right next to bed, and a thump later my phone is on the carpet, the fraying carpet. Huge sink area, only one sink. Besides the towel bar, only one awkwardly positioned towel hook. Separate water closet (nice!). Shower pressure weak. I would say about ~30% that of a normal domestic hotel chain. Had maintenance look at it. Front desk says yes its known that Kidani has low shower pressure and its normal because most people take baths not showers. I wasn’t sure what to do with that so I just went back to the room. Recommendation: Update the room. It feels two decades used but it’s not! Have two nightstands per bed. Double rooms can share the middle one. More towel hooks. Fix the shower pressure. If the excuse is that people bathe and don’t shower, then get rid of the shower altogether and the shower curtain. And also get a taller bathtub that can hold more than 1.5 feet of water. Nobody can lie down in 1.5 feet of water. Oh and fix the loose 1990s generic office building door handles. Service: 3.5/5 Restaurant service was great. Safari people are top notch and clearly very passionate. Valets are prompt and helpful. Community room attendants are very attentive. Golf cart assistants are roaming the parking lots looking for guests who need help. Bus drivers give trivia to help pass the time. I would say all the individuals are doing their best but the coordination between departments is missing. Called about a maintenance issue, asked that maintenance come after 5p since the child was napping after having a demon like afternoon. Maintenance knocked at 4:15p. My fault, tag wasn’t out. Asked them to come back when we go for dinner. Came back but not sure if they did the fixing or not because nothing observable changed, no note, nothing. Turns out the pitiful shower pressure is normal at Kidani. Just something different than previous years, at other resorts where nothing had to be asked for. Things I didn’t know I needed happened, it felt … magical (cliche). Like with a family in a kitchenette room. I need paper plates, utensils, over Mickey shaped towels. Recommendation: Not sure, use a better CRM with an all encompassing view? Have better departmental KPIs that are more synergistic? Leverage standardized feedback collection mechanisms that focus on critical qualitative feedback and moderated user interviews. Restock the kitchenette with paper plates and utensils every day.

This is our worst Disney trip ever. The hotel room had an ac leak, it’s 10 at night and we call to get the ac looked at - crew comes and it’s nearly an hour of I think it’s the drain, I don’t think it’s the drain before they get the leak stopped. Then they were supposed to send a blower in the morning but we had to call to get the blower and then spend most of the day out of the room, this was supposed to be our quiet day. Same night it took four transportation buses to get us to Hollywood studios, not because they were full but because of the drivers inability to do their jobs, one wouldn’t move people to accommodate a wheelchair, second parks in the wrong spot and then never comes back, third finally manages to take on scooters and fourth could take us. The next day we wake up to no hot water and got a we are working on it. Not once did they offer to move us or help in anyway.

We visited this Resort, for the sink g only this time. Sanaa is an amazing dining experience. We did the lounge and had a great meal and drinks. Cast member Jason, made this a memorable visit and we cannot recall a better interaction with anyone at Disney. He is a diamond in the rough.

All cast members are very welcoming and helpful. The room we got overlooking the sunset savannah is wonderful and spacious. Upon arrival, we were expecting to see more animals, but over the course of our stay, we did end up seeing many right outside our room. If you plan to go to the parks early, you'll miss much of the animal activity, but they're usually around through most of the evening. Food is placed strategically throughout the grounds to encourage the animals to move around the savannah.

This place is a great resort if you want to know what it feels like living at a zoo. Watching the animals around the savannah are a lot of fun and they are usually pretty active. Kidani Village is our home resort. It is quiet and slower paced. It is a great place to go if you just want a getaway. The food at Sanaa is fantastic and the bread service is to die for. You definitely want this resort on your stay list. It is a hidden gem!!!

Hotel was beautiful. Savanna view rooms are completely worth it. Parking is horrible. If you have to park after a day at theme parks, be prepared to walk. Take the bus to the theme parks if you have a good spot close to your room.

This is our home resort for our DVC, and I would rather not stay anywhere else. I love the safari!!! Staff is always amazing. We love to get breakfast at Boma. I could walk around and take pictures all day. Love the architecture.

The service and location was fabulous! The room overall was nice, but the couch bed is seriously in need of an upgrade . I could feel EVERY spring in the mattress and the bars of the bed frame. Also, the fan in the mini bathroom did not help keep it from steaming over when taking a shower.

Our (30 y/o couple- no kids) savannah-view stay at Kidani Village will not soon be beat. The entire resort was an absolute dream. There are intricate African details everywhere you look. The rooms, the feel, the smell! Everything. And I promise this almost has nothing to do with it currently being December in northern Canada. :) This hotel is an absolute dream and I cannot wait to return for rundisney in 2025 (hopefully!) While some folks don’t like the busses being the only transport to the parks, we didn’t mind. This often gave us the time to finish a coffee and get on par with park energy before arriving.

Disney's Kidani Village is a hidden gem nestled within the breathtaking surroundings of Disney's Animal Kingdom. From the moment you step foot into this tranquil oasis, you're enveloped in a sense of peace and connection to nature. The architecture and design are nothing short of spectacular, seamlessly blending African influences with modern comfort. The spacious villas are beautifully appointed, providing a perfect retreat after a day of adventure in the park. The highlight of Kidani Village is undoubtedly the savanna-facing rooms. Waking up to the sight of giraffes, zebras, and other majestic creatures grazing just beyond your balcony is a surreal experience that transports you to the heart of Africa. The culinary offerings at Sanaa, the signature restaurant, are a culinary journey through African and Indian flavors. The vibrant and aromatic dishes are a testament to the attention to detail and commitment to providing a memorable dining experience. The staff at Kidani Village are exceptional in every way. They are warm, attentive, and go above and beyond to ensure every guest feels like they're part of the Disney family. Their knowledge and passion for the wildlife and culture add a special touch to the overall experience. If you're seeking a tranquil and immersive retreat that combines luxury with a deep connection to nature, Disney's Kidani Village is the perfect choice. It's a place where relaxation meets adventure, and every moment is filled with wonder. I can't recommend it highly enough, and I can't wait to return for another unforgettable stay!

It's a hike from the park but it was great to have accommodations for 9. The rooms were nice but are starting to show wear and tear. Lots of space!

The rooms a beautiful and easy to move about even with my limited mobility. The staff have been able to help me out with man small issues that have been non room related, making my stay even better. I highly recommend staying here for your disney vacation.

Beautiful place but do not waste money reserving the Savanna view, 3 days in the room only saw 1 giraffe and far away, restaurants are good and staff is friendly.

Wonderful place to stay. We have stayed at numerous DVC resorts and this is one of my favorites. I had resisted staying there for quite a while thinking I wouldn't like it because of the location, but it worked out fine for us. We drove to some of the parks from the lodge because of the distance to some of the other parks. If you don't have a car, this might be a problem. Also in regards to cars, it has the best self parking of any resort I have stayed at on Disney property. The staff exceeded our expectations in every measure. If you choose a savanna view room, it is wonderful watching zebras, giraffes, etc. from inside your room or on your balcony. The one bedroom is also set up nicely if you have five people staying in the room even if one is not an infant.

Breathtakingly beautiful. Unlike anything you can imagine. Sanaa is also such a wonderful restaurant with amazing staff. The entire place is ( dare I say it) MAGICAL. Don't hesitate. Just do it. You won't regret it!

What an amazing experience! Stayed for 4 days and loved every minute of it. Waking up to see a giraffe or 2 walk by was such a great thing to witness. The people here were so incredibly nice and caring. If you love animals and vacations this could be just for you.

The two bedroom Villa at Kidani village had lots of space for our family of five (three bathrooms!) Nice restaurant on property and small gift shop. Animals roaming to view from your balcony. More peaceful than Jambo House.

  • 5/5 Bradley W. 1 year ago on Google
It is a theme with my posts, that I think most stuff is expensive, maybe I have high expectations, but it’s expensive. That said, I really don’t know where else I can stay where I can drink my coffee while watching passing giraffes, zebras, okapi, warthogs, etc, graze on their breakfast, then go downstairs and eat at a nice restaurant, get free transportation to any other Disney World property, enjoy spa services, grill out by the tennis courts while playing shuffleboard or basketball while having a few adult beverages. It is a really nice vacation if you can afford it.

  • 5/5 Callie D. 1 year ago on Google
The pool is great for little kids, although inaccessible with a stroller. The room is great, and we loved the views of the animals on the Savannah. We we disappointed that we had to take a bus from Animal Kingdom Park to get to the resort. There's no walking path. The Sanaa restaurant was fantastic.

  • 3/5 Alexander W. 1 year ago on Google
While Jambo house is great, Kidani is an distance cousin. The rooms are dated and the location is distant from the parks and being a second stop on the bus is hard. The animal life is hard to find. During our stay we saw animals from our room 2 days/nights in the week. The rooms are a trek from the lobby. Make sure to slot 10-15 minutes for a simple shop trip. If you bring your car be prepared to park underground.

Animal Kingdom Lodge offers a great location if you plan on going to Animal Kingdom and convenient bus transportation. The service and food is top notch and animals add to the perfect ambiance. The pool, slide, and splash pad are the icing on the cake and make for a great, relaxing off day from the parks!

  • 4/5 Carson N. 2 years ago on Google
The pillows suck if you like to sleep on something firm. The shower is hurricane loud. You can flush a body down the toilet with a tap. Toilet paper is 1.5 ply. Animal kingdom is probably a day and a half journey on a bus from Disney springs. I recommend going to Hollywood studios and then hopping on the skyline rather than wasting your time on a bus with families. The herbivores need something to live for in the savanna, at least 1 bored apex predator would liven up the joint. Sanaa had decent food, the Naan service is worth it. The bar is hilariously overpriced but the staff is friendly. All in all this is a nice resort to stay at. The grounds are beautiful.

  • 5/5 Emily P. 1 year ago on Google
A beautiful resort! The rooms are clean, the cast members are friendly and there is ample parking in the garage. The lobby is not as grand as Jambo House but it is still absolutely gorgeous with a more intimate feel!

  • 4/5 Andrew N. 2 years ago on Google
Kidani was great. The restaurant was great for breakfast and everyone was friendly. Our suite was huge and we saw many animals from our balcony. Your kids will love seeing the animals!

  • 4/5 The Auto A. 1 year ago on Google
Rooms were pretty small. Grounds were well kept and the pool was nice. Probably wouldn't stay again for the price of the room overlooking the animals, as they were mostly on the other side. They should make it two separate areas to keep them in view. But nice experience overall!!

  • 5/5 Brad L. 1 year ago on Google
This resort is more than just somewhere to stay, it’s an experience. If you, a family member, or a loved one is a fan of safari animals or, even moreso, the Lion King, staying here is a must. Being able to see giraffes, Zebras, wildebeests, and much more from your window is an incredible experience. Every detail from inside the room with the decor, to the pool and lobby - everything is thought out and meticulously planned to immerse you in the experience.

  • 5/5 Kayleigh D. 1 year ago on Google
Love the experience at Kidani Village. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable and you really can't beat the experience of watching animals right outside your room. A few things to be mindful of: parking is EXTREMELY limited. If you can get a space and not move your vehicle by using Disney transportation during your stay, do it. That said though, while Disney buses are pretty easy to use you have to keep in mind that Animal Kingdom lodge sits on one of the furthest points on the property so make ample time for getting to the parks or Disney springs if you have reservations. The only park that is a quick ride is of course Animal Kingdom. Otherwise it is a wonderful resort on Disney property to stay at if you keep those things in mind.
