As a retired military K-9 handler/trainer, I've seen quite a few K-9 memorials and this place is the best one I have seen! It was honor to make the 3 hour drive to finally witness this masterpiece. It literally brought tears to my eyes. Thank you to all of those who help built and maintain this memorial!

Truly inspiring. Arlington for beloved and brave canines that served in WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, Afganistan, as well as police K9 squads, federal drug interdiction teams, mental and physical support dogs. Beautiful and well deserved photo engraved monuments for each war, including a Vietnam Wall for Wardogs. Can't help but feel pride mixed with sorrow.

Brought a Dutch Shepherd puppy I am socializing to experience the War Dog Memorial with all of it's flags, bouquets, and statues. Her name is Phoebe, and we will be back because the statues scared her and she needs more exposure to artificial dogs and other statues.

A beautiful, peaceful place to visit and it's well kept. I was overwhelmed with tears walking around. Look near the wall memorial for a big container of treats. Take one for your beloved best friend.

Saw the sign for the Michigan War Dog Memorial while driving on Milford Road and 11 mile. Stopped. What a Surprise! See headstones and memorials that "honor the courage and loyalty of K-9 dogs who fought with their handlers", 911 search and rescue dogs, Vietnam Memorial Wall War Dogs, Oakland Co. Sheriff's office K-9 unit, and other memorials representing K-9 and working dogs. We happened to meet a Volunteer while visiting (Thank you for your time and Service). This Michigan War Dog Memorial is not only informative but emotional. Donations appreciated, however, not required. Parking lot available.

My Mother showed me this monument, hidden by forest and brambles years ago, we had to search to find it, years later I took friends there to see it, The pet cemetery was hidden but the big monument was there although there was no dog statue on top at that time. I was always afraid someone would buy the land and just destroy the history of this place. Now that it has been restored I am amazed by how close to the road it is as there were times we could not even find it in the woods. It always makes me cry when I think about all the dogs left behind in Vietnam, after serving our troops, what a horrible thing to do but nevertheless I am glad they are remembered here and this memorial is truly a Michigan gem. The newer graves from more recent conflicts are a treasure as well, Sgt Mina is forever in my mind.

Walked the paths and checked out the graves of beloved service dogs of all types. Respect to the dogs lost in wars, drug busts, sheriff's offices and KIA dogs.
