Best meal of my life. Textures and flavors were spot on. Staff provided perfect service, and the ambiance was elegant & relaxing. See for yourself! I don't know why anyone would go to any other restaurant in Saratoga while Karavalli still stands.

Karavalli is an Indian food gem in Saratoga springs. You will find all your normal staples on the menu, but they also have an extensive vegetarian and vegan selection as well! Service is great and they really treat regulars like family. It is in an older smaller building so it did seem a bit hot and stuffy, but they are great with their Covid precautions and I love the place to hang your masks next to the table. Flavor was slightly muted from what we are used to with Indian restaurants at home - mild was really mild here. Parking can be challenging in the area and service is a bit more laid back - don’t expect to speed through your meal. Overall I can’t wait to return the next time I’m in town!

Karavalli is the best in it's field in Saratoga springs. I've tried similar restaurants all over, from NYC, NJ, North Carolina and Philadelphia and this place does not fall from the best ones. Food quality is superb, deep and interesting flavors and large portions that will satisfy even the hungriest person. Do yourself and favor and check it out, you won't regret it.

We have had repeatedly great meals at this outstanding restaurant. You won't find finer Indian cuisine anywhere and the service could not be higher. We particularly enjoyed Jiju's charming and efficient service. You can't go wrong here!!

Good space, nice service. The menu has everything standard for Indian cuisine. Tandoori chicken was decent, a little dry. Curry was great. The nann bread is the least exciting, not very fresh but was warm.

Very good Indian food. Made to order and fresh tasting. You'll wait for it, but it's very much worth it. The menu has a scale of how hot each dish is. Various flavors of Nan, including some slightly spicy varieties.

Oh my God, this is one of the worst restaurants I have eaten in NY. What a waste of time for me to travel long distance from Lake George for this pathetic food. How do you call this Indian food? Are you serious? Gravy full of cream and coconut sauce. If you are Americanizing Indian food, don’t call it Indian food because it simply is not. You are cheating your customers who never tasted authentic Indian food. What a shame! Hereafter, I am not going to any restaurants that claim to be Indian while I am on vacation.

The best South Indian restaurant in the capital region. Although it’s far from where we live but don’t mind driving to it. Mango Palak Chaat is to die far. I always try their specials and never got disappointed. Service is pretty good and an awesome place to eat with the family.

Food was amazing! Great service!! Such a beautiful blend of amazing food options for everybody! I felt so relaxed and the vibe was on point. The smell of the restaurant brought me back to my great grandmothers home whom was the most amazing cook and always had a 4 course meal brewing when we arrived. Thank you for an amazing experience with your dining.

My little girls wanted to try Indian food for the first time. They whole family was very happy with our experience. I was very impressed by our meals. My lamb phaal was delicious with a huge amount of heat! If you’re a lover of the hot and spicy this dish is definitely the one. Both of my kids got the chicken tikka masala, which had so much flavor. For there first time trying Indian style of food, they definitely want to come back. Didn’t have any room for dessert, but looking at pictures of other google reviews I am going to save room next time to try some. Where I live there isn’t any Indian restaurants. The 45 min drive is totally worth it! Thank you for the great service and meals.

FOOD WAS FANTASTIC! One of the best in the capital region. Took my mother out to lunch for her birthday and it was a wonderful experience. Staff were so friendly and attentive. They gave her a complimentary birthday dessert which was so nice of them. Made her day special. Highly recommended and will be coming back!

Get ready for an culinary experience in this exquisite little gem of a restaurant. I ate here 3 times in 3 days while in town for a conference. The menu is very unique and includes vegetarian and vegan options. All the dishes I tried were wonderfully prepared (some delicate, some fiery and some flavor combinations I had never tasted before but all divine) The service is very attentive without being excessive, the portions are generous and the prices moderate. I can’t wait to come back to Saratoga so I can eat here again.

This is phenomenal Indian food! The food was fresh, ingredients pure, and the spices were just right. I stopped by here on vacation and it turned out to be the best Indian food I’ve had in in comparison to the NYC area.

Excellent service and food was delicious. We got chicken tandoori, chicken korma, and lamb saag for entries. We also tried their tamerand eggplants which was very good but small portion. One thing to note: their mild options have 0 spice level, so if you like a tiny bit of heat, maybe try medium!

Delicious Indian food. My friend and I were thrilled to see clearly marked vegan items. I had the veggie samosas and bean curd masala. Both were wonderful. Very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended.

We loved Karavalli. We had the dosa and lentil/ spinach curry. Both were delicious. The team were welcoming, warm and friendly. Our Airbnb host recommended that we come because they food was good and the people welcoming. Both things were true. So happy we came!

Great food. The waiter suggested a wonderful dish, Tandoori Chicken. I ordered the half size, and it was still a large portion. I took half of it home.

Karavalli is the best Indian food in town! Their foods are light and tasty and leave me always craving more. Very easy take out options too, I usually order take out when I don’t want to cook and I am left with two meals! Always a good choice.

Very good Indian cuisine. My wife and I were in Saratoga Springs for 3 days and we dined there 2 nights. Although we are not vegetarians we had vegetarian dishes both nights. Had we discovered this restaurant the first night we probably would have eaten there 3 times.

My boyfriend and I love Karavalli! They make a delicious eggplant chettinadu. It’s no longer listed on the menu, but they can still make it by request. It’s so good! The atmosphere is peaceful and lovely, and the staff are super warm and welcoming. Love this place!

Great Indian food, great service, and a great value. Can't complain about anything here. They really work hard. It's an interesting place because for one thing, Saratoga is extremely white. Not many good ethnic places. And most of the other places in Saratoga are way overpriced for what they are. It pains me to say, but restaurants like The 99 are often the better values in this town. Hard to imagine. But the very few places like Karavalli are excellent and deserve your business.

  • 3/5 Jay C. 3 years ago on Google
First the good part. Totally felt safe dining in with everything they do for keeping it safe for people to dine in. They seem little overwhelmed with take out and dine in. Veg sampler appetizer was flavorless and the batter was very thick for bhajias. Paneer Kurchan and Jackfruit kofta we ordered had excellent flavors.

This is for BHAUMIN PATEL,you cultureless BARBARIAN,I have read your comments and that made me to write about this outstanding restaurant. My favourite restaurant,I have visited many times and everytime their service was impeccable, friendly environment, people are very polite and of course the food was delicious. First of all you living in America earning in American dollar you must understand the tipping culture of America's. You must pay minimum 18% tip of the total Bill. If you don't want to pay any tips better to buy frozen food from Walmart or other grocery shops and enjoy rather than comments like this....you should have courtesy to support the restaurant at this unprecedented situation. Owner don't bother about this type of Barbarian.I will be visiting soon..

Very good food with what seemed like a slightly above average price. Perhaps it's related to the area. Was staying in Glens Falls and this place popped up on a search. Went a bit out of my way to give it a try. The food was very flavorful and portions seemed about right compared to other places I've tried. It was a bit pricey, however. I still enjoyed it.

It was a great experience eating at Karavalli in Saratoga Springs. The place is very clean, the people are very polite, and of course, the food is really good! The food has the rich flavorful taste of authentic Indian cuisine, without the burning spicy taste. My picky-eater daughter, loves the chicken tandoori, so much! It’s the1st time she ate that much in a buffet restaurant. I definitely recommend this cozy place, for the good people, great food ,and very reasonable price.

  • 5/5 Mamta D. 4 years ago on Google
Good place to try out authentic Indian food. The idli, dosa, medu vada and green chutney are super! The lemon rice, chicken masala, fish curry, kebab are tasty. They have a decent number of desserts too. The gulab jamun especially is very good! Staff is very attentive and helpful.

This place is a rip off . The food is terrible and very less portion . I came to Saratoga for a trip and this was one of the worse Indian food I ever had . Being an Indian born person I know the real taste of Indian food especially South Indian food . Please stay away from here as they charge too much for this below average food .

Came here on a thursday evening, very light crowd. right away, the staff was very kind, respectful, and friendly. the only issue is that we weren't told about the night's specials. it was written on a board on the wall. it should have been mentioned when we were given the menus - but i can't take a star away for that!! the food is legit South Indian food. Just amazing taste, fresh ingredients. The chef came out personally and asked us how things were. I had a chicken dish, spouse had the lamb biryani - everything was flavored correctly, lacking for nothing. the service was excellent, food came out timely manner. the place was relatively easy to find and close to where we were staying. i would totally go here again
