Absolutely delightful! Divine giant forest! Just makes us realize how small we are in the front of 2000yr old Sequoia trees! Congress and Sherman tree trails are easy for everyone and gives u glimpses of the giants! We had fun in the wolverton snow play area. Parking was easier last weekend but may get more crowded in coming weeks. There is still snow around above 6000ft to do snow walking.

If you are a tree hugging, hiking historian, this place is for you. A land of giant trees that date back before many of our times a wonderful visit, just a tricky, drive up and back don’t do it in the dark.

Quite possibly the most beautiful place on Earth. Walking among the Giant Sequoias is an experience unlike any other, and something that needs to be experienced in person to be understood. If there was ever an area that so obviously deserves the protection of the National Park Service, it’s Sequoia.

2022 Tips: To start, please be informed on all road and ground closures. There are closures depending on the season (usually winter), weather (if they’re expecting a storm) or day of the week (most areas are closed during the week) so I highly recommend checking before driving out. You can call their general phone number for automated updates but keep in mind it is very difficult to get somebody live on the phone. I recommend checking their website or getting in contact via social media if you have any questions. There are winding roads lasting ~20miles or so but they are fairly wide and have some sort of railing the majority of the way. My wife was so scared she could not drive so I had to take over. I had no issues. You should take snow tire chains if expecting snow. You can also take snow shoes if you’re planning to hike a bit Some roads are closed during winter but are accessible on foot. I believe there are chains and shoes for rent if you do not have your own. There is no wifi, cell phone reception, electrical outlet(s), fast food chains etc. so take anything you may need (eg portable chargers, generator, entertainment if needed, flash lights, gas stove, food etc) there are restaurants and snacks sold but restaurants can be closed depending on the day/season. Let me know if I missed something or if there are any questions! Have fun!

what an awe inspiring place. the mountains are so beautiful. BE prepared if you are renting a car, the altitude to get to kings canyon goes up to 9k feet, and the tiny gas savers I saw people driving were getting stuck and really struggling at 6k feet. the trees are enormous, so happy our politicians thought to save them from loggers. some are estimated to be 5000 years old. It is sad to see the hundreds of thousands of acres of burned areas. but the ranger said it will return, not in our life time, but it will.

Inspiring, shocking, incredible! What an amazing place. The trees are way bigger than I thought they would be and I loved every minute we were here. My daughter had a great time. There was always a new place or tree to see. Definitely want to come back one day!

Giant trees that are more than 2000 years old situated at 7000 feet height with the trees themselves taller than the liberty statue? What's not to like here? Wish I could climb those trees to see how the view is from up top. This place is a pure marvel and has many great hikes. Do not miss the scenic byway into Kings canyon national park. Absolutely great place to bring kids to have a fun experience. They close the shuttles after summer. Crystal cave was closed too. Rest of the park was open and plenty of spots for lodging are available. No Tesla charging spots unfortunately.

Beautiful parks! Definitely worth the time to go to both parks. Kings canyon has some great trees to see, but Sequoia is definitely worth a stop as well. Great places to walk around, many easy trails and beautiful things to see.

I LOVED these parks. LOVED. Enjoyed them more than Yosemite. Do some research ahead of time with the National Parks app to make your list of where you want to go. Get plenty of gas and have water on hand, you're good to go!

Pictures can't do it justice. I assumed I wouldn't be impressed because I've seen so many photos. You HAVE to see this in person. It's inspiring. Unfortunately because of forest fires, many of the routes were closed off. But don't let that deter you. There's still so so much to see. This park is so so gorgeous, I did in fact get emotional. The drive up is also full of gorgeous views. I also bought my new favorite sweater at their gift shop, so that's pretty neat. The park is very clean and it's not as busy as I thought it would be. I was nervous there'd be so many people that I wouldn't be able to enjoy myself, but that wasn't the case! I definitely hope to camp there next time I visit. Please go see the sequoias. They deserve some love. So stinkin beautiful.

One of the most majestic things i have ever seen. People say all the time that they are getting old. But these trees have been here for over two centuries. And then i saw a group of younger adults walking the path down General Sherman and what do they have in their hands, a case of beer and all the food they could carry . I can only hope that they carried it all back out !

Dramatic scenery of the largest trees in the world and canyons and mountains. Saw a little black bear here and deer. Was pretty peaceful on Friday but Saturday was a lot more packed with people. Friendly rangers, Junior ranger program for the kids. The hike around the meadow from the visitor center at sequoia was pleasant.

Very wonderful experience. We had snow, fog, clear, and bright sky within a day. The scenery was simply breathtaking especially when surrounded by the large trees.

Photos cannot capture how amazing it is to visit this park. The size of the giant sequoias are overwhelming and is something everyone needs to experience. Loved this park!

Absolutely gorgeous forest of giant sequoias. Most of the pictures are from trail of the sequoias which starts from the congress trail and through a few other trails ends at the Sherman tree.

Astonishing and shockingly beautiful. The path to the top is amazing to see, and very well maintained. There are water refill stations, restrooms, lodges, parking and even a free shuttle that allows you to move freely between landmarks. There are plenty of trails of all classes, and people are super respectful and welcoming. The souvenir shop is addictive though

SEKI is a fantastic long weekend get away. Water levels are dropping with less snow in the winter and little rain. Words can't do enough but it's great on many levels. Huge landscapes, peaceful meadows, and lots of great trails for all levels.

We had a great experience surrounded by beautiful trees and snow. I would recommend bringing your own tire chains for a smoother journey.

If you're a visitor to Fresno or the surrounding areas. This is a place to come. Get away from the traffic. Go relax and smell the fresh air of the giant trees. Visitors from every country, language and ethnic groups come to visit the sequoia and the areas around it. Be patient with those that aren't from here.

Not ever seen the big tree like this. Beautiful national park. Easy to travel for all travelers. Many trail choices.

If you want to see the best of nature the there is Too much walking as many roads are closed, lots of areas are burnt down.. People without pass have to buy one time visit for usd 35 which seems to me way too high for this level of national park. But they do have frequent shuttle services for some places.

We visited during the winter and most of the roads were closed. Please check the national parks website for latest road conditions before heading. The entry ticket is valid for 7 days, so plenty of time to explore.

It was a great place for hiking. Moro rock is a must. The view is beautiful from up on the top. You just have to climb a few stairs. The park is huge and has plenty of great trails.

An incredible place to be the view is amazing and to be able to see those tremendous trees of more than 3,000 years makes us feel how small we are. It is a recommended trip we rent a house on the outskirts of the park which allows us to return to do the walks calmly and know the surroundings. The weather in August is hot so I would recommend light clothing and mosquito repellent.

These trees are truly magical to me! Loved every second here! Even seen a live bear just walking around!
