    I had to renew my driver's license so I showed up Tuesday about 745am. I also submitted my application online. This gets you faster service so be sure to do the same. Online you can print the form or submit it. When you use the submit button it goes into their system and you have 4 weeks to go in person before it expires. 6 people were denied help because they didn't have their SSN so be sure to bring yours and any other documents required...check online. There is no shelter if it's cold or hot so dress appropriately because they do not open before 8am. There is handicap parking and a ramp for ease of entrance. The young lady who helped me was super sweet and professional.

    Visited this DDS on a Saturday morning to transfer my out of state driver's license to a Georgia one. The staff were all nice. Upon entering, I was greeted by a lady who asked what I came there for. Then, she asked if I already filled out the form online. I said yes, and then she gave me a number. I honestly wasn't paying attention that my number was called and she actually came over to me & told me that my number was called. Everything went fast since I already filled out the online form & had all of the required paperwork done. The wait time honestly wasn't too long either. I was really surprised because it was a Saturday, and I didn't have an appointment. I was done with everything and out in about 10 - 15 minutes.

    Went here this morning to schedule my son’s road test after following the instructions online saying we had to come in to schedule the test. I even showed the guy at the door what it said online, and he kept arguing with me that the site shouldn’t have said that as if I made the site. Finally another lady came and told me I was right, and that you have to schedule the test on their computer. After getting the test scheduled, we waited for my son to get the email confirmation before leaving. There was a sign telling us we could not exit out of the door we came in, so we followed the sign. After getting to the door, we heard someone saying “Hold on,” but since we were not at the counter, we assumed it wasn’t us. Then all of a sudden I hear the clerk saying “They are just rude, they walked in front of the picture, and did not say excuse me or nothing.” I immediately opened the door and said “Excuse Me,” and then she said “Oh, thank you” with an attitude. The customer service we received this morning was well below average and rude. I would also recommend them having a different facility or something in place so people would not walk in front of pictures. Went back to this place a week later, and everyone was very nice!

    Bad experience; the older guy doing the driving test is a liar and disrespectful. He made my son purposely miss the turn because of the unclear directions; he was rude and didn't want to accept the truth. I wish I had an audio recorder with me. He definitely has some issues in his life. I sincerely wish him kindness, honesty, and happiness in his heart. I suggest going to Perry; it is quick, easy, and polite customer service.

    Would be nice if the people who work in this building would learn to treat people with dignity and respect. Barking orders and speaking the way that they do does not help. Customer courtesy needs to be taught in this place because I have never been treated so terribly in my life as I did here.

    This is the most efficiently run, well-staffed DMVs I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. I was greeted and helped by the most friendly and professional man. He walked me through registering. Before I knew it I was walking out the door. I don't think it even took 10 minutes. What a fantastic organization!

    They are working out of a trailer during renovations of their building. Thr service was great and timely. All the staff were courteous and helpful.

    They are ok but the 30day paper license and mail u ur new licenses dont work for over the road drivers that are out for extended amount of time

    It's usually a bad experience here but I was pressed for time and couldn't go anywhere else. Very unprofessional and inexperienced. They took an endorsement off of my license that doesn't expire, they went back and forth with me over whether or not I could take my hazmat test to renew it, the tsa receipt has always been good enough and all of a sudden it wasn't. I don't get to come home often and because of this dds I was forced to let my hazmat lapse and spent money on a background check for nothing and wasted my time off.

    Had to get my GA license after relocating from FL. In and out in less than 10 min. Super friendly. Be sure you do the app online before you come in and have all the documents needed when you arrive (tells you online exactly what you need).

    After all the jokes I've heard about the DMV... my experience was nothing but good. Friendly people, organized, I have no complaints. Definitely 5 stars!

    I gave 2 stars only because the gentleman who helps out front get people where they need to be is super helpful and polite. However there is a clerk behind the wall on the computers who wouldn't even let me finish my sentence before catching attitude and pushing me to the side. Horrible customer service.

    So my husband and I leave for his first duty station in Japan in 3 weeks and I needed to get my name changed on my license. My name is changed on my social I had my marriage documents I could’ve brought in but despite that they refused to help me change my name because “social security isn’t a form of proof of citizenship” or whatever. I have a court hearing date on the 26th because the court canceled my earlier court hearing date for my official name change, but I leave literally the week after that so I needed to get my new license asap so I can go get my passport before we leave as well. To make matters worse the lady at the kiosks didn’t even allow me to explain my situation. She just cut me off and said no. So if you need anything done I highly encourage you go anywhere else buy the dmv on Carl Vinson.

    Wow! Fastest license renewal/application experience EVER! There was zero wait time that I didn't even have the time to use the restroom (lol)-btw the restroom was clean too. People were helpful and polite, and the computers were up and working good. It is a relatively small office with about 10 windows(and 2 computers for application) but 3 was all they needed when I went. Everything went swiftly and so glad it was a quick stop, now I have more time to get other things done! 😃

    I was not looking forward to going to DDS with past experience of taking so much time. Don’t put it off! The DDS on Carl Vinson was so fast, efficient and they were very friendly. Before going I went online to find any documents needed. I was getting a veterans license renewal which requires more documents. On arrival I took my number and was called in less than 5 minutes. She took my documents and had me out in minutes. The best experience in any DDS in my life. Very professional and respectful. 5 Stars! They have their process mastered.

    Today was easier then before because I needed to get things in order. I just wanted to thank you to the staff, a special thank you to Shannon Perry for being so nice while working with me and making me laugh while getting my license transferred to Georgia.
