My undergraduate school. Queens is a great place to be in NYC and not to be that busy with traffic and everything. St. John's has beautiful views, good service, and nice people here.

They could be laughing when feeling hardship , hiding it behind their abilities .When accounted troublesome they can overcome by studying hard on textbooks thinking of spring coming after the cold winter , the flowers ' most season to blossom on the trees once bare .To one side it has 495 highway and to the right Utopia Park way in residential region, south of Flushing ,Queens area.Schools are core of democracy .They attend it with more proud getting excitement dancing and laughting untill they solve problems with teachers , friends who are their real assistance to look for help when get hard times in tests .It is surrounded by red painted iron lower fences representing their highier goals .As long as they could stay here they would become one of the word' s top figures to come out on the society .Hearing lectures from professors and learning on the text books are good opportunity for them to have a nicer career. .Our society is built by their hands and getting better from worst for their contribution willing to give more commitment in many positions where they are hired .They are pretty and handsome university students with the campus surrounded by the nature planting many various trees . They feel everyday they are loved by professors teaching valuableb thing to them wanting to acquire knowledge for more advanced the morden society from Gothic ruins .They spend most of adolescence of the day even not parcipating in any entertainments to consume more knowledge for the expanding journey for the rest of life . They are very interested in learning anything from the school which are not easier but they are trying hard to master them with much efforts . In reality they are tempted in any environment because their blood is boiled and they prevent themselves by wise reason from involving the movements .For highier goals they have learned how to behave in worst place . They are spending more and more days in school and more becoming new person that the society , governments employees, national assembly , civil groups need . By the strong winds which make them more strong persons to choice either two kinds of people , a devil rebelling the socity to achive their goals by scolding the weaker to follow them or an angel by complimenting people to pursuing the society rules rathe than following the one TO them rivals come at any time to challenge their statue quo fragile who are undermining the reality by keep arguing their principles that almost make no sense .You are privileged students to have won the Scholastic Aptitude, loans or scholarships in the top ten universities, running on graduate valedictorian.

DO NOT GO FOR A TOUR!! There is no signs or whatsoever! This is horrible. To be honest, I was made fun of at this school! It is a 30 mins walk from the Subway station. Once I arrived on campus, there was NO SIGN at all or maps guiding you toward the GRADUATE ADMISSION OFFICE/BUILDING. On top of walking for 30 mins, plus getting lost trying to find the graduate admission office for 20 mins for my tour, I had to give up! I even call the office letting them know that I am lost but on the lawn unable to find the graduate office. I had to give up. Since it took me 2h30 trip from NJ to this school, I saw the UNDERGRADUATE office and went there asking to use th restroom and told them about my ordeal. She gave me a notebook to make me feel better and asked me if I wanted to go for a tour, I said NO that I am exhausted already. She wanted me to talk to a counselor and I was telling her that there should be signs guiding students with arrows for their tour or at least to the graduate office because none of the building concrete maps showed you the graduate admission office and this is flawed! She was telling to the counselor and he laughed at me. To be honest I did not like his behavior and I told him I don’t have questions and I just wanted to go home. All the universities in NJ have signs for campus tour to guide students and this was just common sense. He didn’t have to ridiculise me. I am very disappointed

The campus is beautiful and easy to grasp. Professors are very experienced in their fields. Class sizes are very small, which allows for a unique experience. You can actually have a friendship with your professors, and be a part of a class discussion. I'm starting my sophomore year this fall. From what I've seen, the school is very cozy and providing for the student body. There's not much I could really complain about, except for nitpicky things like the parking situation. But above all, I'm glad I chose to come here. I can't wait to see what a year in-person will be like.

Pros: Safe area, big campus, always events to attend, easy commute Cons: 65% of faculty is not concerned with the quality of education they provide students. The Peter J. Tobin College of Business is a sham. 70% of business faculty have not been active in their industry since the 1980s-00s. Most business classes are outdated, and lack major industry updates such as using calculators for finance/accounting classes and not primarily using Excel or advanced Excel functions. If you want to learn about PivotTables, XLookUp, SQL, Python, A/B Testing...skills that are essential for almost every business industry, don't bother enrolling at this school. Career fairs and networking is very limited unless you're a Tax or Accounting major. The school is stuck in 2004. If you're looking to learn about new software, skills and technologies that current jobs are looking for, you won't get it at a single class in the business school.

The campus is beautiful but this is how they real you in. The customer service here is terrible. Financial aid office is terrible and this school is extremely money hungry. The school stuck me with a bill for $12,000 because their financial aid office could not produce FAFSA documents that were sent to them. Because of this, no aid was applied to my account. Consequently, I ended up having to pay $12,000 in order to reenroll at this school. Even today, I am dealing with the same unprofessionalism with the financial aid office. You really have to be adamant about calling them otherwise your documents will fall through the cracks. When I started back in 2016 tuition per class for CPS was $3000 it is 2022 and I am a readmit student…the program is now called CCPS and each class is $4,440. This doesn’t include room and board by the way. However, the aid hasn’t increased and is minimal, meaning that, if you aren’t catholic your option for scholarships are minimal . I pay $8,000 out of pocket per semester which ultimately caused the break in my education. The academic resources on campus are great, transportation not so much. The living quarters are also subpar. I can honestly say I’ve never had a terrible professor since attending but with the staff being clueless and not helpful to the students needs, this makes it hard for us to want to continue our education at St. John’s. This school doesn’t have much to be charging so much. There are bigger and better schools with more variety than St. John’s.

Hands down the most dismal experience of my life were the four semesters I spent at SJU. The majority of the professors are adjuncts and couldn’t care less about your progress or life goals and are there to read the material and collect a paycheck. It baffles me how this institution can charge the amount of money they do for the unenthusiastic staff and mediocre campus life. Instead of applying here you should consider suicide

Excellent college campus in New York City. St. John's University is a private Roman Catholic university in Queens, New York City. It was founded in 1870 by the Congregation of the Mission (C.M., the Vincentian Fathers) with a mission to provide the youth of New York with a Catholic university education. St. John's has additional New York City campuses in Staten Island and Manhattan, as well as the Long Island Graduate Center in Hauppauge, New York. Additionally, the university has international campuses located in Rome, Italy, Paris, France, and Limerick, Ireland. The university is under the patronage of Saint John the Baptist. St. John's is organized into five undergraduate schools and six graduate schools offering more than 100 bachelor, master, and doctoral degree programs as well as professional certificates. In 2019, the university had 17,088 undergraduate and 4,633 graduate students. The student body represents 46 states, District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, and 119 countries. As a visitor, the campus was very pleasant to see. It’s kept very clean and nice. The auditorium was also great for ceremonies.

Wonderful school, the food is horrible, the food and beverage director Cathy is a job, slept her way to the top of the food chain, they fire good employees and hire mostly family members, nothing in organized, the turn over rate is crazy, I was lucky enough to resign before I fell into a trap there….. avoid this place PLEASE BOTH Cafeterias

The financial aid is horrendous and the STEM programs (other than PA or Pharm) are abysmal. Alison Hyslop is a tenured Chemistry professor who refused to provide educational materials unless we gave her favorable reviews on ratemyprofessor. Her ratings were low for a reason. When I went to the department to complain about paying 40k a year to have a professor try and bribe me for material in courses I’m paying for, they showed me they could not care less. Nothing was done about this reprehensible action. In terms of financial aid, they stuck me with a 14k loan that I never accepted or requested for a summer session. Just a horrific money hungry institution. All they care about is money and their basketball team. It’s actually laughable that they claim to operate with Catholic ideals and Saint John in mind.

Love it. The staff and especially Amaerca the Manager are wonderful! I'm here with my two dogs and there's plenty of space to walk them. Amaerca was especially accommodating and understanding when our training schedule shifted. She was so professional and composed, she put our minds at ease! Rooms are clean, and spacious.

Great location, right in middle of Airport, Long Island, and Manhattan in a quiet upper middle class neighborhood. Campus food sucks, but there’s a lot of great restaurants in surrounding area. Use EVERY resources the school gives you. This school LOVES putting people in debt, those interest rates will hunt you years after graduation, therefore make every effort to utilize their resources and time. CONNECTION is everything. Good luck, and make the most out of it.
