Buyer beware. When you see those low ticket prices on momondo or Priceline or whatever, just realize the you’ll be charged for your seat assignment, where your seat is, your carryon bag, your checked bag, your time of boarding, just about everything that can get a price tag on it , they’ll try to get you to buy. Update: I know why the planes are yellow. Like school bus! Seats DO NOT RECLINE. See pic. If you have circulation or back problems, be aware of this. Check your bag size n weight to avoid surprising fees. Well you DONT have to pay for the seat, let their computer pick it. You don’t have to pay for boarding, just board with the rest of the peon class. You don’t HAVE to bring the carryon for $65. Check it for $30. And finally that $9 fare club thing is a little like a time share- auto renews with no warning and you’ll have a hard time disputing it on your credit card.

Very petty on a bag. Always carried the same small bag on board and they chard me $71 because the little wheels made it an 1/2 inch bigger. Will never fly spirit again. Only did so because my daughter wanted to. Will fly Delta from now own. This airline is not cheap!!!! They get you with stupid extra fees!! NEVER AGAIN!!

Going on 3 days with my luggage completely lost by spirit. It cost $100 to check our bags and they lost all 3 bags. 1 bag was returned 24 hours, the second 48 hours and the 3rd? Completely MIA. They have no idea where it is. You might think it’ll save money but how much money have you invested in your belongings? What’s the cost of your time? What about needing to buy clothes and toiletries? Want to spend your vacation on hold being shuffled around from different 800 numbers? Spirit is such a terrible airline you’ll SAVE money to fly any other airline! Absolutely not worth it.

We got to the Minneapolis-St. Paul airport, to fly to Orlando through spirit. They waited until boarding time to tell us the plane had been struck by lightning, but they had another plane. So we waited 3 1/2 hours for the next plane, then they told us they didn’t have any flight attendants so they cancelled the flight after sitting at the airport for eight hours. When we asked them to pay for our hotel for the night, they said they wouldn’t pay for it because the cancellation was weather related, No it wasn’t, there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. It was because they didn’t have a flight attendant and that is somehow our fault. They also wouldn’t reimburse us for parking even though we didn’t even go anywhere. I have had issues with this airline before and I will never book with them again. Unless you want to be cheated out of money for lame excuses, and not get where you want to be, I would never recommend this airline to anybody. Complete joke!!!

I haven't had the displeasure of flying them, but I almost booked them, until I realized during the on line checkout process the seat fees add from $60 to $100 per ticket. All of a sudden that cheap ticket cost isn't so cheap anymore ! Sun Country is much better, more reliable, and they have many seat fees from $10 to $15, which is more affordable.

Working with the matter of flight insurance and Spirit Airlines: Calling to change flights have to be 7 days notice. Made a call 6 days 18 hours before the scheduled flight to change for a direct flight with a different Airlines. The Spirit agent, was polite but explain it would be a substantial charge, ( penalty), with a small refund. Giving Spirit Airlines a B+ when a active duty military member makes a change in flights. A+ on ticket agents, precheck passes & the no charge for luggage for the active duty military personnel.

When a pilot has a certain amount of hours he/she can fly and they are timed out, you think they would have another pilot awaiting to take the next flight. No. They don't. We had a flight at 2:30 and had to sit for 4 hours just to be told our flight is rescheduled for tomorrow morning at 7 am. We were also given a hotel voucher but didn't get that until another 2 hours. We were also given a food voucher of 14$ but the price of a burger is nearly 20$. Lack of common sense.

While flight tickets are affordable, extra costs drive up the total cost. It's still a relatively affordable airline to use. Delays happen, I guess I'm just glad that they didn't cancel this flight like how they cancelled yesterday's flight.

App straight up does not work. Wouldn’t let me purchase a carry-on bag, which required me to pay $20 more at the airport. I don’t recommend flying spirit unless you can travel with only a small personal bag

Significantly more affordable than other airlines, and great quality. I can fit everything in one bag successfully and the customer service was friendly. Bag fees are more expensive than Deltas but the flight is half the cost. Balance out the pros and cons

I spent more than 40 min waiting for someone at the front desk, which does not make sense. This is in MSP Airport.

Worse airline I've ever dealt with. You have to self check in, or they charge you if they check you in. Had 1 stop before my destination, and they charged me twice for my luggage and charged more than it says on their website. The air crew was fabulous, and the timing was great, but other than that, will probably never fly with them again. Save on ticket and get you with the luggage.

Nice planes but a bit crazy on squeezing money out of the passengers, including refusing to provide 💦 during the flight ✈️ unless you buy bottled water 💦 wow

I purchase a flight ticket from Minneapolis to Orlando on September 17th 2022 And by November 4 they say they cancel the flight They notify me by email and I never have the email From them guys So I find out 25 days before my flight date.. They cancel my flight And the only thing that can do is refund my money from the cost at the flight there They say they cannot have no explanations why they cancel my flight.. This airline is garbage I will not recommend to anybody buy from this airline. And I will never Use this airline again..
