Mediocre at best. Although the location is convenient, the amenities are non-existent. This place reminds of a 1950's hotel that needs to be remodeled and upgraded.. The A/C system was horrible with high fan noise and a rattling grate. Impossible to sleep. The pillows are super thick and non-compressible. Impossible to sleep on.. Buffet breakfast was a stale bagel wrapped in cellophane and a box of cheerios. Coffee was old gas station quality...tepid, dilute and stale tasting.

Absolutely the best! Especially for those in need of care at UCLA! 24 hr shuttle that has always been courteous and timely! Rooms are remodeled with modern updates! Staff is always accommodating and polite! Plenty of free underground parking, big commodity in LA! My wife and I (she has several health issues) have found this place as a bit of a safe haven from the hustle and bustle of LA! Huge Grocery store right across the street. Many food options available nearby! We've stayed here many times and highly recommend it!

I liked everything about this hotel 🏨. My room was comfortable and very clean and the service was really wonderful. Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly (with the exception of the lady who is in charge of the breakfast). The evening front desk staff were real standouts!! Thank you Tiverton!!

Location is great. Across the street is a Ralph's and Target. No microwave in the room but it's in the dining room. There is a refrigerator I'd stay here again!

The location of this hotel is great but that is about it. We checked in and upon arriving to our room we found a stinky filthy germ infested room. The odor in the room was strong of air freshener I guess to mask the filth I am assuming. There was a dirty soiled bath towel slung over the shower rod in the bathroom. The ice bucket and cups were in the bathroom by the toilet and there was blood on the two pillowcases on the bed. The flooring that I assume is supposed to be brown, was black and worn out and dirty. The air conditioning unit in that room, when it kicked on, sounded like a semi truck. I brought all this to the attention of the front desk and they moved us to a different room. I won’t go in to any further details except to say the second room was not any better. When we tried to call the front desk nobody answered. Horrible place to stay if you value your well being and health.

They were remodeling when I stayed for medical procedures at UCLA in April 2018. Hopefully its nicer and quiet now. ...I had to find another hotel because the walls and ceiling were terribly thin. I could hear everything going on around me and couldnt rest. The lobby was updated and nice. Seemed a bit misleading for the rest of the hotel. Everyone was super great there. The location is great too.

No in room coffee maker. Fridge but no microwave. No plushy bathrobe I could get charged for if I took it. No dresser for my clothes - I'm a Man in a Suitcase. This is not a 4 star hotel.

Basic, nice, very clean hotel that is super convenient for anyone going to the Medical center. Ralph's groceries (4 star), Chik-fil-A a couple blocks from your room makes it highly desirable for anyone supporting a patient.

Convenient all around for UCLA patients. Their least expensive room is great. Large bathroom & clean shower, comfy bed and pillows, great selection of cable channels and a clean nice sized refrigerator. It is located directly across the street from Ralph's (grocery store) and Target. House keeping is only 2/days a week which is inconvenient if you're not feeling well on room cleaning day and don't want to be disturbed. When I inquired, staff told me it is because of COVID (5/22 ?) and when I saw the house keeper I asked for extra garbage bags, and she did what she could in my room on her own behest (garbage, towels-super nice lady) and she explained she was unable to help more bc they're short staffed. I think that's more of the reason as she is the only house keeper I saw. It would be nice if they had someone to help with your luggage or bring essentials to your room on a non-cleaning day. It's difficult when you're sick and there by yourself to do these simplest of things. I think they would greatly benefit from some UCLA student volunteers-no extra costs for them and maybe an extra credit situation for the students.

I stay here when I visit UCLA for medical treatment and have never had a bad experience. My only difficulty has been booking when last minute doctors appointments are scheduled due to the popularity of the Tiv. The staff from the front desk to housekeeping have all been friendly and helpful. The facility often feels dated, but that is not why I am there. The beds have been comfortable enough, the air con works, and with a kitchen available to use or a kitchenette in the room I can save money or prepare specific meals when preparing to undergo surgery. Being only a few minutes walk from the medical facility and having an available shuttle allows me to park my truck in the hotel's parking structure and not need it until time to leave. I appreciate all that the Tiverton House does to simplify my life while dealing with a chronic illness.

Very clean room with 2 double beds, reclining chair, fridge, 3 drawer desk, large Smart TV with cable service and access to streaming services, if you have such accounts. Wi-Fi in the room is adequate. Free parking in a secure garage is a real plus. Shuttle service to UCLA Medical Center runs on a schedule, but you can also easily walk there in a short time. Front desk and maintenance services are top notch. A limited breakfast is included- yogurt, juice, coffee, bread, muffins, etc. There is also a limited kitchen to prepare your own food, small library/lounge, and a garden area. The hotel is owned and operated by UCLA, and is available to any patient of UCLA with an upcoming medical appt.

Clean and basic quarters for families of patients and other individuals in need of temporary quarters at UCLA. Secure facility within walking distance to Ronald Reagan Medical Center and the main campus. Across the street is a super market and within 5 minutes one can walk to many eateries and coffee shops. There is a lounge and a business center. Reasonable rates. Very responsive and friendly staff. Transportation available to the medical center.

A very friendly atmosphere and great staff. They have been able to make adjustments for our changing needs. Highly recommend to anyone who is visiting the Medical Center. Room has just what you need with comfortable beds and a warm shower.

When coming to UCLA for medical treatments, this is the place to stay. 5 minute walk to the center. They are working on the hotel, but it's ok. The beds are comfortable, which is most important after receiving treatment. You want close, quiet, comfortable and friendly accommodating staff. The Tiverton checks all those boxes.

Friendly and accommodating staff, no bad smells or big issues. Parking was pretty limited for a big truck. Campus is across the street and lots of nearby shops and good places to eat.

Do not get a courtyard room is you need a dark room at night!! Stayed 5 days for some medical appointments had a second-floor room that looked out over the courtyard, big mistake. There are lights blazing all night in the courtyard area and the window coverings do not block out much of the light. After the first night requested a different room and were told they would get in touch with us when cleaning was done so we could move. Never happened. Due to surgery the next day we opted not to ask again until later in the week which we did and were told the same thing- honestly, I don't think anyone ever tried to help us out with this issue. Oh yes and the beds were horrible! We finally rotated the mattresses and that helped a little. On the plus side the fresh ground coffee in the lobby was great. We asked for a microwave in the room, and they did have an extra one that they brought up for no charge.
