👍👍 We absolutely loved our meal at Uncle Fungs Borneo restaurant. The place is colorful and lively, and the service was excellent. We both ordered the Borneo rice plate, and it was one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. The rice plate had a fragrant coconut rice with a spicy curry sauce, chicken, beef,... People often mention good, chicken, rice, sauce, Uncle, Borneo, curry, Fung, delicious,

Uncle Fung opened since 1975. It was closed due to Covid. Now reopens. The food was very authentic Malaysian/Indonesian/Singaporean, basically Southeast Asian. Good tasting, good spices, BUT too salty!!!! We told the serving staff, and he responded very positively to notifying the cooks. Very polite servers. Nasi Lamak was very good, except you need to order the one you like - 2 selections. Laksa was very good. I only give 4* as the highest rating. No one gets 5*- because no one is perfect, only Christ. Try Uncle Fung, you'll like it.

We absolutely loved our meal at Uncle Fungs Borneo restaurant. The place is colorful and lively, and the service was excellent. We both ordered the Borneo rice plate, and it was one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. The rice plate had a fragrant coconut rice with a spicy curry sauce, chicken, beef, sausage, egg, and vegetables. The flavors were complex and balanced, and the portions were huge. I also liked the complimentary soup that came with the meal. It was a feast for the senses and the stomach. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to try something different and delicious. 5/5 stars.

If you're craving Malaysian food this is a great spot to visit! Small menu which makes it easier to select what you like and since they focus on making only a select amount of dishes each one is a much higher quality because they are able to focus on ensuring it is flavorful and well made instead of having a ton on the menu but mediocre. I enjoyed the Roti Prata! It was so hot and fresh and the curry sauce to dip it in was coconuty and flavorful! The chicken satay was so crisy on the outside while softer on the inside. The peanut sauce paired so well with it! The coconut rice was delicious. I wish it was more coconut flavor to it but I liked it. The #4 Laksa Mee was so delicious like ramen but curry style. It went well with the coconut rice and the taste was so unique! The portions of food were fantastic for the price. I highly reccomend this restaurant after a long day at the beach. Your taste buds will be so happy plus there are plenty of dessert options near the restaurant around the plaza it is nestled in!

Absolutely fantastic food. The Laksa, Borneo Rice Plate, and Hokkian Mee in particular are delicious. Tastes pretty close to the food in Borneo.

Ordered the Borneo Rice Plate and Roti Prata. The Roti Prata is really good and the peanut-like curry sauce pairs very well. The pancake is very firm and rips nicely, it has a good chewiness consistency. The Borneo Rice Plate was a very good meal. It came with a soup and an extra cup of a sriracha-like sauce. The soup was very nice and refreshing to drink. The actual rice plate has a marinated egg, bbq pork, special sausage slices, and fried chicken. The marinated egg was very good, the flavor went through the egg completely. The honey bbq pork has the same quality as you would find at take-out places like Sam Woo. The sausage slices I believe are also the same Chinese sausage slices, very good mixed in, and the fried chicken still had a good crunch to them without feeling heavy on batter. Very great choice! Dine in available and service was fast and friendly, very clean inside too.

Delicious food, reasonably priced, good location, easy to get to, Covid precautions in place for dine-in, tables spaced out and cleaned thoroughly between guests. Great music to enjoy while waiting. Exceptional customer service, authentic Indonesian-Malaysian cuisine prepared while you wait! We came straight from the airport for lunch Uncle Fung did not disappoint. Will definitely be back. Don't miss the items pictured below.

With a name like "Uncle Fung Borneo Eatery," I had to stop and try their stuff. It's pretty good! I had the chicken skewers with coconut curry rice. The chicken was good and savory, with a cup of peanut sauce to dip it in, as well as a little cup of killer hot sauce. At $11.99, that's reasonable for around here.

Uncle Fung provides a casual dining experience inspired by a street vendor. The Cornish Game Hen was very tender and flavorful. Their Char Sui was also very tasty in the stir fried noodle dishes. Two entrees came up to around $30 and the portion size was perfect for a quick bite for lunch.

If all Indonesian food tastes like this, then it’s my new favorite cuisine. Best chicken satay I’ve ever had, fried chicken was moist, noodles were bouncy and packed with flavor. Everything felt so professional and higher class than the restaurant front and prices have you believe. Exceeded our expectations. The servers were also extremely welcoming and kind. Will be returning!!

Very nice Malaysian food that is rare to find. Long Beach outpost is adding to the local diversity. Food is tasty and come out quick and fresh. Strip mall setting makes the atmosphere generic and is a disservice to great food. A small effort in decorating would enhance the experience a lot. Do not come here for the ambience but for the food and you will not be disappointed.

No frills spot, fast & very friendly service. This restaurant has an amazing roti prata with curry. Highly recommend their hokkian mee, which consists of egg noodles, chicken soy, and bomb BBQ pork. It comes with a side soup which is perfect for a chilly night.

I come here for the laksa mee! So good and perfect for those cold days. The rest of their menu is great as well but I’ve got my staple. Chicken satay skewers are also really good.

I had NEVER heard of this cuisine before. Food was delicious, everything was good. The workers were so nice. Great first experience. The skewers plate we ordered had a fusion feel to it like Indian & Thai. So good!! Plenty of parking.

Stopped in for takeout after a day on the water. Can't say I've ever had Bornean cuisine before but WOW! I ordered the chicken skewers with the curry rice and I must say, they do not disappoint. The chicken is moist and flavorful, the peanut sauce is to die for, and the fresh cucumber slices break up the savory flavors really well. If I could give more than five stars, I would.

Uncle Fung serves Malaysia, Indonesian and Singaporean cuisine. They opened for inside dining with socially distant chair. Good and courteous service. I really love the cups they used for my milk tea :) the rotti is perfect! The Singaporean fried rice and Gado gado is just okay. Can be better. Price is reasonable. Maybe I will be back for rotti and their drinks

Worth it to drive out your way to get to way their food! I've been there twice now and can't strip thinking about how great the food is. My mother-in-law is Dutch Indonesian, so she knows good Indonesian food. Her favorite dish is the Chicken Satay Rice. I like #9 Indo Mee. BBQ pork is really good, too.
