really bad service very arrogant everyone to start the day with the security guard January 24 I had an appointment at the office and the security wanted me to have an appointment when really I already had it for a week very rude, then I went to the booth just like the person who treated me His work was terrible. I didn't see him ask for anything, just give the ssn, and copies. They almost yell at you as if you were a criminal. That's not the way to treat people. I realized I wasn't the only one. when you walk into the office. , they should have classes how to treat people in regards to me

representative were perfect and fast! Thanks to her 🙏 One star for securtity officer. The old security uncle waiting at the door may think he is the CEO of This office. He probably feels very tired because he tells every customer to sit by obeying social distance. while he's just sitting in front of the door. If you accidentally turn away from the direction he directs, if you ask a question about your ticket number or any subject, he will shout at you in a very loud voice and even scold you as if you are a child. “Go this way, don't you see the numbers?” He said to an old woman ,because she couldn't see the window numbers. He scolded her. He is also an elderly individual. but disrespectful. ill mannered. and a person who thinks that he can scold people as he wants by taking an adjective he has made up in his mind as his duty. such people should not be involved in public relations.

I'd like to say this location is INCREDIBLE. Truly one of the best state administration offices I've ever been to. Robert the clerk that helped me was kind courteous and made the process enjoyable. Which I don't think Ive ever herd someone say it was enjoyable to get my name changed and replacement SS card. My husband was shocked when I walked out in less than 15 mins with out an appointment. Also the security guard helped me get the process started while I waited to be called. Amazing service with an amazing staff. We need more people like Robert working in the world!!! Kudos Garden Grove SS administration you guys have a wonderful staff!!

I went in here to replace my son’s SS card. Like any govt run facility, I was dreading the wait time and the process. But, I couldn’t have been more pleased with my visit. I was greeted by a very friendly and pleasant fellow at the door who supplied me a mask (which I didn’t have) and gave me helpful instructions as I walked in. I proceeded to the kiosk to get my ticket, and waited about 10-15 minutes for the next available service rep. The rep was also extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating, and was able to process my request in minutes. I was in and out on a Wednesday morning in under 30 minutes without an appointment…Fantastically run and a pleasant experience. Thank you social security!

I use my lunch break to update SSN. Everything was fast and great, no appointment needed. The policeman was received and greeted and guided me quickly. The officer handling my case was also very prompt and didn't take much time. I finished everything in 15 minutes and got back to work without delay. This is a great experience here. 👍🏻

First time going to this location and I must say for not having an appointment I got in and out within 15mins tops. Not only was I surprised with the time frame I was in there for, but the service I received from the clerk, a gentleman by the name of Robert was great. He was very informative, assisted me with respect and very efficient. The security officer Mr. Aragon was doing an amazing job keeping everyone in line and allowing certain amount of people in due to regulations of course. It was a great experience for me.

I had an extremely pleasant experience visiting this office this morning. After a somewhat arduous process of trying to figure out whether or not you needed to go to an SSA office in the same county as where your marriage certificate had been issued, and then coming to the determination that you do NOT (just because I didn't see anywhere stating expressly that you did) I decided to come to this office. I had read the unsightly reviews and had a bit of nervousness prior to coming, dreading an unpleasant time. Arrived at 8:30a.m. without an appointment to wait in line for the office's opening at 9a.m., on a Thursday. There were about 10 people in line in front of me, and once the office opened at 9, about 10 people behind me. Directions were clearly given by the security guard that no Food or Drink is allowed in, and that phones are to be put on Silent. He directed people where to check in at the two self-check in kiosks, the "Left" one and the "Right" one. There was also a helpful man checking in people at Window 6. Once checked in, it took about 15 minutes for my ticket to be called, and 5 minutes for my request to be processed. The man that assisted me was kind and seemed genuinely interested in being helpful and associating with me as a human being, not just as another ticket he had to serve. I am very thankful that I decided to come to this office and will only have good things to say about it based on this experience. They made the process of name-change very simple!

I arrived around 8:15a on a Friday morning. I was 10th in line. They opened promptly at 9a. Went in for a new SS card and was out by 920am. Staff was friendly. There are restrooms inside. Small waiting area but everyone had found a seat.

Rude and disrespectful team. I asked to speak with the supervisor but the agent said no need to speak with supervisor and your case is denied . I insisted on speaking and when she showed up it looks like that she doesn’t want to meet us. She met us from behind the window not in a private room . She doesn’t apologize or appreciate our feedback. It looks like she was annoyed by speaking with us. Unprofessional way from a supervisor in a SSA office dealing with people who are suffering from disabilities!

Was in and out in a matter of 1 hour and 15 mins. They reopened the offices since they closed becayse of covid and I expected it to be worse. Both security guards were helpful and explaining the directions. Only issue I saw were those that didn't speak English, it was hard for security to understand each other. Process is pretty simple for people who don't have appointments. You wait in the outside line to be able to go inside to the kiosk to get a ticket. Once you obtain a ticket, you wait outside until your number is called. Seating inside is very limited due to COVID, 10 person maximum. So do not expect to be sitting while you are waiting. They are still practicing social distancing also, inside and outside so expect that also Typically seats inside open up and the security will let you know, but it's more for the elderly. Bring a lawn chair and wait outside.

It was a pleasant experience. We were here to get a new SSN and got in line around 8:15am on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, there was about 10 people already in front of us. We were served right away once we got in about 15min. The Vietnamese lady that helped us was extremely friendly and courteous.

If you get a worker's last name PHAM. Fight with all your might to have someone else work on your case, or prepare for hell. This dude has an attitude problem. He loves to emotionally bully old people by dragging their cases and gets absolutely nothing done. My father came here 4 times, each time he waited for 2 hours. Every time they met, the worker talked to my father for 1 minute, said he was working on his case, told my father to go home and wait, then closed the window right in front of him. I don't understand how these beings are able to get jobs and why they chose to work in this field.

This is the most efficient, organized SSA office, at least from my experience. However, I did notice the security guard was not patient with non-English speakers. It’s stressful when you have a language barrier; people shouldn’t be snapped at simply because they need clarification.

Great place gave me the service and information I needed. Security is top notch, some people might lose their marbles every now and then. But it's expected, I was attended very well.
