This is the entrance gate and Ranger station for Point Beach State Forest. Awesome state forest on an exceptionally picturesque section of Lake Michigan. Great location for both tent camping and for campers. Very popular during the summer weekends, so it is best to call ahead. Groomed cross country skiing trails. Excellent hiking on these trails during the summer. The Ice Age Trail also crosses through this forest.

So fun, what a great place to be on a 95 degree day. Beach was clean, everyone on the beach was having a nice time. Only bad thing...this particular weekend flies were biting...I'm still going back again and again.

We stayed at the campgrounds a bit hard to navigate but great surroundings in the woods. The beach was amazing unfortunately too cold to swim that day!
