don't try this one if you actually need a wheelchair assist. you're better off ubering to ORD

The first time I came here it was absolutely horrible my plane was delayed for hours without food and the vending machine was empty in the waiting area. I had to wait with my daughter to who was traveling to see her father alone and thankfully I didn’t leave her and waited until she boarded. My daughter has a medical condition so it was bothersome to her to wait all that time. The next time I went to this airport it was better they had a cafe open the snacks were ok but at least it was something , my daughter seems to want to buy or get something whenever we go out. What made it better this time was the staff was pretty nice to her she was a little more antsy this time a go so it was nice to have a staff that would be kind . Her flight attendant was nice she said and gave her extra cookies to take home and someone helping her with her bag gave her a small little toy figurine a little deer that she always seems to carry around now which I’m sure I need to clean because she likes to hold it in her hand all day. I know this is well winded but with having a daughter with a disability, it helps to have people be kind to her. Unfortunately she will be this way the rest of her life and I appreciate the generosity.

Flew Avelo to Orlando from DBQ. Super easy check in, plenty of parking. Even a little snack area/bar open before the flight (cash or Venmo). There is a nice bathroom and water bottle fill stations to use before boarding. It is definitely small, TSA area is pretty cramped. Overall pleasant experience. Hopefully there will be more routes with Avelo in the future.

Small airport, super quick to go in and out. Our flight was 3+ hours late landing after midnight in a snow storm, the staff was quick nice & efficient. Got bags in a timely matter, and the roads were shoveled. Highly recommend! Wish there were more options flying in though

While DBQ is a small airport, the team there is very friendly. It is sad that AA is pulling out as I frequent this airport 4 to 5 times a year.

The new airport is absolutely beautiful and well organized. It's sometimes inconvenient that the flights only go to Chicago though. However, everything looks clean, the staff is friendly, and the place seems to be state of the art. I do think it's silly that there are 3 gates. There's only one flight that comes and goes at a time at this point, maybe more flights are to come?

Jeff, went above and beyond for us tonight! He waited after close for us to be able to pick up my moms suitcase, cause she missed her connecting flight to Chicago. This was an emergency as we had a funeral service for her brother in the morning who passed from covid complications early this week, who coincidently is named "Jeff" he was a angel for sure! Two thumbs up and five stars to Jeff!

Brand new an it is so unorganized, who hired the people who planned this? First update your directions with Google maps, an have a better sign saying you moved the terminal never seen it tell I left the old terminal an why do I now have to pass the terminal to get to it? Could of been an entrance right where the old entrance was no reason to drive 1/4 mile out of my way to get to a terminal that I can see poor planning wasted money an these people are responsible for hiring pilots for us

The airport is pretty, but don't rely on your GPS to get there.

They say to arrive two hours before. Is the place even open? Save money and go to moline (mli) or Cedar Rapids (cid)

Flew into Dubuque for business. Staff and TSA folks here are incredibly friendly. Beautiful little airport (three gates). Incredibly clean. Clear signage. Unfortunately the dining area is closed on Saturday. Otherwise, this is a great airport!

We had a deer hit us in an Avis rental car (still drivable but not okay to drive at night due to a broken light) and after many hours of driving and waiting for a replacement we arrived in Dubuque and drove to the Airport. We are tired and upset because a deer is dead, our trip is delayed and Avis had to find us a replacement vehicle in a very rural area. It was frustrating but we were happy to arrive and get ourselves back on the road. The airport is incredibly clean and while it’s small it is well maintained and bright and airy. Restrooms were clean and stocked, and there were comfy spaces to wait while our car was readied. The two young men at Avis were so kind and professional. They are in training and a gentleman in Waterloo helped them with our transaction and all 3 men made sure we were treated well. (Avis has not been pleasant to deal with up to this point.) This helped us reset our day and get off to a good start. I don’t know their names but we wanted to say thank you to them and hope they know it really helped two road weary travelers. Thank you.

Highway turn off lane very short with little notice due to poor signage. Major plus is free parking. Wasted space in terminal and with the new larger plane capacity of Avelo coming (whenever) boarding wait area will be very crowded. Poor design.
