Normally they do tastings that you can buy a ticket for and try all these hard to find varieties and I canโ€™t wait for that to come back next year. This is definitely worth a drive for some of the best fruit around. People often mention fruit, orchard, Andy', fruits, dried, cherries, year, peaches, tasting, find,

Do orchards still exist in the The Valley of Heart's Delight? Though every orchard from the South Bay to the North Bay have all but disappeared there are still a few if you know where to look. Andy's Orchard is probably the best stone fruit orchard in the Bay Area. The host various events throughout the year were you can taste seasonal fresh and dried fruit. During the summer months they hold regular events were you can pick fruit from their orchard and purchase what you pick. They have a variety of unique and heirloom variety stone fruits during the summer months. They will even provide you with a calendar of when to expect certain variety of fruits during the season. They also have other fruits during year including figs, cherries, and persimmons. They will also have a small selection of seasonal vegetables. They have a robust section of "ugly fruit" that taste perfectly fine aside from being ugly or bruised. The ugly fruit is usually priced super cheap at 1$/lb. In my weekly visits to Andy's I maybe had one fruit that wasn't up to par! While it is usually hit or miss when buying fruit at a conventional store you can expect perfectly ripe and in season fruit at Andy's. You can find delicious eats year round at Andy's due to the fact that they sell a large selection of dried fruits that they dry at the orchard. You can find dried stone fruits year round and some specialty items seasonally. You can get sugar plums and dried persimmons in the winter months and through the new year. If you're looking for one of the best orchards in the Bay Area Andy's may be your best bet at seeing what once filled the valley.

Andy's Orchard is the Best orchard in Santa Clara Valley. Many varieties (I bet 100) of stonefruit = apricots, peaches, nectarines, cherries and others. The orchard store is open year-round with the fruits of their labors - fresh in season dried, made into various confections, pies and more, plus many other items from local and Califonia farmers and food producers.

Went there for cherry tasting on a Sunday. The place was packed before it even opened. Tickets were $25 per person, and they had at least 20 different types of cherries that you could taste. They also let us pick out our own cherries from the orchard, though the thing that I didn't like is that there was no easy way of knowing where the different types of cherries were. I jotted down the names of the cherries that I liked, but I couldn't find some of them in their orchard, and some were not actually from their orchard either. That was a bummer. Thankfully, the cost of self picked cherries was only $4.50 per lbs

It was nearly a 3 hour drive to get here, as we live in Santa Rosa, but can't wait to come back again! The beautiful orchard is among the last of an industry and way of life, which was once eminent throughout the region. The long rows of trees and old-school farm house felt serene, evoking imagery of another era. Moreover, the dried fruit that we bought is best I've ever had! Concentrated and very intense in flavor, the dried nectarines reflect both the sweet and tart sapidity of the fruit, harvested at the peak of ripeness.

Had a wonderful time with the family on Father's Day.. Sweet Sweet Cherries ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’ First time visiting Andy's Orchard and WOW so adorable. Really nice place to take the family or a friend. Walk around tasting and then picking sweet fruit. I definitely want to come back when the Stone fruit is ready. Check them out. ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’

Love Andy's! They have the best stone fruit I have ever eaten. During the summer I'll go there a couple times a week to try out all sorts of varieties of fruit that I never knew existed! My favorites are their peaches, nectarines, and plums, but you really can't go wrong with anything they provide. It's limited to what's in season so things pop in and out and can be hard to find sometimes, but you know whatever you find there is going to be ripe and delicious.

Andy's orchard is a great place to come and taste the very best stone fruit. Be sure to check the calendar for the summer tasting schedule that starts each year on Father's day. Visit throughout the summer to sample cherries and apricots, peaches and plums. Stop in at the store for the very best hand picked tree ripened fruit all summer long and some delicious dried fruit all the way till Christmas.

You can not pick your own fruit. They have specific dates to do that .the store did not hold too much fruit when I went there

Before I visited Andyโ€™s Orchard, I thought that I didnโ€™t like peaches. After going once I learned that I loved peaches, that I could trust their peaches to always be perfectly ripe, and that there were more varieties of delicious peaches than I had ever known! I highly recommend checking out their farm stand/store and bringing home some fruit and honey. You wonโ€™t regret it!

The best place to visit if you're interested in high quality fruit. Sales person was so kind and knowledgeable. Prices were great. If you live in the area, Andy's has a lot of great events planned through out the year. I bought "ugly" dried fruit, mostly because I loved the name. It was perfect and a fantastic price. I will visit Andy's everytime I come back to California ๐Ÿ˜Š

I wish I lived closer so I could buy all my produce here. They have seasonal organic fruits and vegetables that grow in their orchard. Their prizes are reasonable for what you get. I got their strawberries and they were small, so you could tell they were organic. They were so sweet that my dog and I ate them in one sitting. Iโ€™ll have to come back soon!

Went at 9.30 am on the sunday 18th June and we had booking for 4 people. The orchard opens at 10 am and there were already people lined up. We requestes for car parking inside orchard as my wife has walking disability they said they can help if there is sticker . However they offered her chair to sit till orchard opens and agreed to drop her back. Aeiing my wife's condition not one many of their staff/ volunteer came forward to help particularly a family of Marcus the young boy who drove the tractor with trailer which can seat 10 people disabled. The tour starts with tasting if the fruit and this time of the year it was cherry. They had 35 varities of cherry and it wa wonderfully organised with name board sticker on each of them and you are given a tissue and paper plate for discarding the seeds and they have kept a small basket to discord the seeds as you taste . It was really a wonderful experience After tasting my wife and I with my daughter and grand daughter and couple of other families toolk the tractor and Marcus the boy took us to the orchard and explained the different cherries and took us around and he was very patient and was excellent. The cheerries were sweet some were sour and sweet and most of them were excellent. There was peacock in the orchard . There were 2 rest rooms On the tour you are given buckets to collect the fruit and you weigh them and pay and take it home . The cherry was given at USD 4.50 per LBS. The fruit tasting and picking was excellent experience and special kudos to all the staff and specially to Marcus and his family for helping us and said that having come all the way from India we should go to the orchard understanding my wife's disability

Nice locally owned rustic store. They sell a variety of dryer fruits, chocolate, pies and seasonal fruits and veggies. I enjoy visiting the place every month. Prices are expensive.
