Dr. Thomas was the consummate professional. Beyond competent, articulate, pleasant. Princeton and John’s Hopkins educated. The staff are buttoned up from check-in to check out. X-ray technician was well trained. Getting an appointment was easy. Office was well-appointed but located in a modest rent building. Smart.

It started with the initial call to make the appointment. The woman explained each charge and how it was going to be charged with my insurance. Then I arrived at the clinic and the receptionist was so nice and helped me with all the paperwork. Then the X-ray lady was kind and quick. Then the doctor saw me. She was so sweet and through and explained all X-rays, hands on exam and ultra sound. Her kindness and professionalism was greatly appreciated. I hope I don’t mend to go back after this but will definitely return if an accident ever occurs again.

Been having problems with my wrist for over a year. Finally got tired of the pain and decided to have it looked at by a specialist. I had seen DOC’s ads and decided to give them a call. From the first call I was happy with my interaction with the staff. They were friendly and helpful. They verified insurance and got me scheduled quickly. My appointment was scheduled on an ice day and surprisingly they were still open. I arrived and was greeted promptly and cheerfully. I had X-rays taken quickly and was seated in a consultation room. The wait was not bad and was greeted by a PA then by Dr Thomas. Dr Thomas had done an ACL reconstruction years ago so I was happy to have him check my wrist out. He gave me the different options available and we started with the least invasive/less expensive option. I am very happy with the visit and how efficient and friendly the staff are. I would definitely recommend DOC as you get a more personalized experience than what you would get at one of the big medical offices.

Staff was very friendly and attentive! I got an appointment right away, and felt confident with the treatment option. Had a painless steroid injection in my shoulder and was in and out in 38 minutes.

Everyone was super welcoming and professional! I was in and out less than 2 hours. I felt confident about the medical care I received and left with a strong follow up plan. Recommend!

They were great, I felt comfortable and welcomed when I walked in. They listened to my concerns. I always appreciate a health care provider who cares and listens.

My telehealth appointments when smoothly. Erika was prepared and took time to explain the MRI findings and outline next steps. Her assistant Amanda was also patient and thorough. I highly recommend DOC for quality care and the very best patient care.

You don’t deserve star. I’ve been in pain. The first visit you canceled the second you did no follow up with Tri Care. At this time my trust in your operation went out the door. Very poor leadership. I will find another doctor. Dr. Dennis Childers EdD, MBA

I was able to be seen quickly & my knee problem addressed, including seeing X-rays regarding the problem. The staff was friendly & patient. Thanks for the good customer service!

Overall, it was a good, quick visit. They didn’t have the splint in my finger size. They had a size smaller and size bigger. I had to order my own. They should be doing regular inventory checks so that these situations don’t arise. These services cost an arm and a leg so this shouldn’t happen.

Good from front desk, radiology to doctor. My doctor treating for my fractured shoulder has been Dr. Arturo Villarreal at Guadalupe, Austin. He has been very attentive, calm and answers all queries patiently. I am happy.

Everyone is kind and great at their job. I'm doing physical therapy with Jelena and she is absolutely fantastic at her job. She's kind, extremely knowledgeable and knows when to push and not to. I've had more than my fair share of physical therapy in my life and she's truly one of the best therapist I've had.

Unlike any other doctor office experience I have had in years…not only was the physician attentive and actually spent time listening to me and my concerns. I never felt rushed in the process.:.truly felt that she was there to help me. In addition the office staff Shyla was amazing…friendly, funny, fast and interactive at both sign in and check out…I am also receiving physical therapy now and Jelena is awesome she doesn’t make it feel like therapy and keeps the mood light and entertaining…I am literally looking forward to going back to office for the follow up!!!

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Hannah recognized and greeted me as I walked in, Amanda the medical assistant was really helpful, Shyla was very gentle when positioning me for x-rays, the PA Erika took the time to walk me through everything and made sure I understood my options and she walked me back to the front desk where another Erika set me up for me next visits. The process was so smooth and easy so I'm coming back to do my physical therapy here and would definitely recommend DOC to any friend in pain.

A great find-my first time! I needed an orthopedic doctor over the weekend and found DOC (Direct Orthopedic Care)- a very professional clinic! Checking in was easy thanks to Paige. In a few minutes I had x-rays done by the technologist. Dr. Arturo Villarreal reviewed the x-rays and carefully explained what he found. He gave me great instructions in how to take care of my injury. I have an appointment in 2 weeks for follow up. Many thanks for the professionalism of this clinic. I will use this clinic again and will recommend to others!

I suffered what I thought was a torn muscle in my foot playing tennis. Painful stuff. They were open on Sunday. Staff was extremely friendly and professional. Environment was clean and well maintained. We did scans and ultrasound and thankfully found nothing serious. I was given a boot and crutches...which I used for a few days. Pain was still present a few weeks later so I came in to be sure things were healing properly. Dr. Eric reassured me and a month later I returned the boot and crutches (donated) to them. And all good now. The process with these folks was just pleasant overall. They reduced my anxiety and set expectations accurately. Thanks DOC.

I had a stellar experience with Dr. V, Hannah and Robin. I was able to get in within an hour of their closing time on a “Saturday” and was seen by the doc, had X-rays and was checked out in just over 30 minutes. Had I scheduled with my primary or other it would have been days before I could have gotten in to be seen. I highly recommend!

I was a walk-in on a Friday afternoon at a DOC location I had visited a few weeks before, this time for a finger injury (basketball). I was seen promptly and efficiently (using the data from my previous visit), and each person with whom I interacted was pleasant and professional. The experience was excellent.

The receptionist team did a great job checking patients in and out. The amount of wait time seemed excessive. I waited in reception area for 20 min then moved to exam room for another 25 min before getting the procedural inquiry and vitals. I was frustrated by the slow movement of the medical team. When the dr finally came in, I felt I was in good hands and received sound advice and examination. However I spent an hour for a less than 5 minute conversation with the doctor.

The staff are really great, from the front desk to Dr. Thomas. Always nice to come here post surgery. Training must be great because everyone I encounter has the same, “Guest comes first” attitude. Highly recommended.

This was my first visit at the Guadalupe location for a leg injury. I was very impressed with the entire team. Hannah at the front desk is so detail oriented and friendly, also impressed with the X-ray tech and most importantly the PA who performed my exam. They went above and beyond with compassion and took the time to listen to my questions and provide thorough feedback. Also, met Shyla, the manager, who went above and beyond to provide thorough, compassionate customer service.

Dr. Frank and Erica are awesome! They have been treating my cervical and lumbar issues for over a year. They are always extremely professional, caring, and friendly. I would highly recommend this practice - I visit the Guadalupe office and my procedures are performed at Stonegate Surgery Center. Both facilities and staff are super! Thank you DOC, Erica and Dr Frank for taking such great care of me!

Quick, convenient, and competent care. Provider was so very professional and all staff from the front desk to the radiology tech were warm and inviting. Staff are upfront and honest about all procedures, insurance coverage and cost. Definitely feels more like a concierge medical experience instead of the cold feeling one can sometimes get from an urgent care setting. Highly recommend.

Amazing! This place is awesome! I injured my shoulder and needed an appointment soon. Not only was it super easy to book an appt online, but when I had a family emergency and had to reschedule the next day, they were super accommodating! Doing the new patient paperwork online was a breeze and I didn’t need to fill out any extra paperwork when I got there! So nice! I showed up to my apt 30 min early like they recommend and not only did I Not have to wait, but they brought me in early! Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable! They did my X-ray without any other unnecessary tests or questions. I saw the PA right away and she explained my sonogram and answered all my questions! Then, she gave me a definitive answer about what was wrong with my shoulder. My experience here was 180 deg to what I’ve experienced at other urgent care places and doc offices. I wish every office functioned this way! Lastly, the best thing was that their prices are transparent! I knew exactly how much it would cost and you get so much for your money! I’m recommending DOC to everyone I know 💪🥰.

🫤 The care I received from the doctors and physical therapists was good. However, it is absolutely impossible to deal with the central office. They do not answer phone.
