I never review airports, but CHS is just so good! The terminal looks modern, fresh and delightful. Security has no lines and TSA staff were super friendly. It’s just a really great airport!

Nice airport but holy cow you need to address your luggage handling. I fly in and out of CHS often and for the past year, getting bags has been a nightmare. It's not uncommon to wait 30-45 minutes and several times it has taken nearly an hour. This is unacceptable for an airport of this size. I'll change the review if I ever get my bags in less than 15 minutes. Update Sept. 2023: my last few flights have seen better results. Still slow for the size of the Airport but at least I'm not dozing off waiting for my bags now.

The new parking garage is great. There are signs that are clearly visible and well lit to let you know how many spaces are available on each of the 4 decks. The lower deck is where you return all rental vehicles. Easy access and plenty of shuttles available. The old parking garage is still in good use, but usually extremely full and closer to all the airline terminals.

Great little two terminal (maybe 10 gate) airport. But my God, it easily takes 1 hour after you land for your bags to be on the carousel. Imagine you land on one of those 11:45pm flights and have to wait until almost 1am for your bag!! Might as well just leave it and come claim it the next morning! Otherwise it's a sweet little airport.😊

I thought Charleston Airport would be mostly a regional jet hub, I was wrong and it is largely served by mainline carriers. The airport is easy to get in and out. There are also several dining options which are decent. The TSA was also relatively quick and you can find ground transport easily. It takes about 30 minutes to get downtown.

When we flew in it was pretty slow (midnight) but when we flew out Monday morning at 6:59 am the security line was really long! Get to the airport early.

Small airport that lacks resources to properly even attain basic security protocols. Many cars parked and left unattended at the pickup area, no enforcement of NO smoking rules outside entrance doors, ZERO mask wearing enforcement, animal urination and defecation apparent throughout the facility, just overall lack of regard for people's safety in general. Spend as little time as possible here in order to avoid personal injury or attacks on personal well-being.

Small airport. The parking is easy in and out. Newly remodeled. Many nice art pieces. Not many restaurants open on Tuesday evening. Most stores were closed too. They had a special place for nursing mothers.

Great thing about the Charleston International airport is that they have great food court and wide walking spaces.

Gorgeous and clean airport. I was really impressed. Smooth sailing, no issues encountered. Was my first time flying through there in Nov 2021.

One of the nicest airports you can visit and experience. All the employees and even the TSA agents are awesome here never have problem . Wish all airports can be as clean and as pleasant as Charleston is.

Charleston is a rather small airport, not what you would expect in this city. You walk-in and immediately walk behind the glass wall it’s not how it used to be when you could have people walk you to your gate. Baggage check point was fast and a breeze to go thru. It’s very nice on the backside of gate , restraints and if you plan on buying water have a card and it will be a 7.00 bottle of water. Everyone was nice and it was a easy process. Bathrooms are also super clean.

Love small airports. Easy in and out, but still have all the food and flavor of the larger hubs.

I was impressed. The room was clean and well equipped, check in and out were painless and I got a good night's sleep. The reason for only three stars was the lack of hot water! It was too close to check out to try and get it resolved, so I had to have a cold shower. Not cool in 33 degree temperature outside!

Friendly people at American Airlines check-in. Airport and restrooms were clean. There were a few decent food items.

This is a very good airport. My only complaint is that it is a long, non-air conditioned walk to the rental car pickup location.

Very neat airport. Small but convenient

It's a smaller airport so it is very easy to get around. Parking is convenient. There are 2 long term parking lots. Economy A is right behind the daily parking and is walkable to the terminal. Economy B is a little further and has a shuttle. They do not want you walking for safety reasons. If you want to walk less use economy B with the shuttle. TSA was a little slow with only 2 lanes open.

This is a very nice airport, easy to navigate except baggage claim. Simply an embarrassment. Slow and the definition of inefficiency. Which belt does your bag arrive on? Look at the board? No no that would be to logical, however there is no board. You are told just wait and see. Unbelievable that such a nice airport in almost every other way could be so backwards in this simple task.

It's actually a pretty nice experience and didn't take long to get through TSA.

Easy to find your way around and for the most part, a clean facility. Plenty of food, coffee, and retail past Security. Security was also efficient, no complaints there. Parking deck wasn't full on a Friday and also easy to find a spot. I typically drive from Columbia area for the ability to fly direct out of CHS. Getting in and out of this airport (not flying) is very quick and hassle free. Great access to the highways as well. I typically don't have to interact with a lot of airport personnel, so can't comment on their efficiency. Overall, CHS is a great choice to fly out of in this region.

We love the Charleston Airport! It is definitely a smaller airport, but it is super easy to navigate and find your way around!

Clean and fast. Moved right on through. Easy pull up. Information on retrieving bags very good. Desk folks are great.

First time flying out of CHS my main issue no parking in lot A and lot B is employee-only. There's a lot little direction for how to get to the terminals from outside but once we were in the check-in process was smooth. TSApreβœ… was slower than the standard passenger check.

A beautiful airport that is clean with overall friendly staff. The terminal seems small but it handles well the flow of people coming and going. The design of the airport is impressive with how much is in such a small space. The layout of the parking garage made it possible to find a spot close to the terminal entrance. Again, very impressive considering how busy it is.

CHS is a modern airport. The personnel are helpful, and it’s easy to maneuver through. It’s a quick walk from deplaning to baggage claim. It’s also a quick walk from check in to TSA to your gate. The gentleman behind the desk at Gate B4 was helpful in checking my flight status. I LUV Southwest!
