As a family we've been coming here since early on when Young himself just started out. Now he's retired but the newer owners are still family continuing on his legacy and it's still just as fresh and delicious. Portions are huge and great prices. We had last night and I realized I've never reviewed so I probably should! Definitely try them if you haven't. In picture is beef broccoli, sesame chicken, and the extra fine pork chop suey.

Some of the best Chinese takeout around! Love the cashew chicken pepper steak sweet and sour chicken and almond chicken! Yummy don't forget the won ton soup! If you order at lunch it is cheaper.

I went to Young's because it was late and they had great Google reviews with lots of stars. 🌟 I met "Joe" who treated me like a valued new customer and promised I'd love the food. Well, I did Joe, and will be back soon for another delicious dish! (I had the Sesame Chicken & 🍤 Shrimp fried rice.)

Absolutely there is no better Chinese restaurant in the area. It's pricier for a reason. The quality is unmatched. Every single entree, appetizer, side...etc is perfection. Never had a bad meal here. 10/10 constantly.

Terrible. First and last time going. The sesame chicken was cheap Chinese buffet quality. I also had to spit out Multiple pieces of chicken because they were just fat. I'm pretty disappointed considering they charge a decent amount for their food. I've had much better for less.

I've heard so many good things about this place from my brother so I was dying to try it because I absolutely love Chinese food. I ordered sesame seed chicken with vegetable fried rice and wanton soup, my soup was fine as well as the rice but my chicken was definitely going bad. It tasted as if the meat was starting to spoil but it was cooked and served regardless of expiration. As for the vegetables in the rice, the broccoli was starting to brown. I'm giving my experience 1 star because no one should ever have food served to them that's not fresh or spoiled.

We grabbed this after a concert - low expectations for a "late night" Chinese joint we hadn't tried. Got two combos and some lo-mien for two of us. We were absolutely blown away by how good this place was! Portions were big, the flavors were all there and what I'd expect of each dish, and the actual cooking was fantastic (perfect egg rolls, crispy fried chicken fillets with tender centers, noodles not too greasy). Our only minor gripe was the fried rice was a little meh compared to how amazing everything else was. Open until 11pm, 10 minutes from order to carried-out, and like $45 for three big meal portions. We've found a new local Chinese joint we're willing to go a few miles out of the way for!!! Edit: WHAT IS WITH THESE REVIEWS COMPLAINING ABOUT "only" TWO PIECES OF BROCCOLI IN YOUR CHICKEN DISH FROM A CHINESE JOINT?! We got 4 pieces with the Sesame Chicken (the takeout container was also stuffed full of chicken), and I was shocked they would include that much! Like... are you ordering that for the steamed broccoli?!!

I found this place by mistake and figured I'll try it. OMG this is the best Chinese food that I have ever tasted. 2 thumbs up...... The food is always fresh. I always get the same thing at other restaurants, but I have tried several dishes here and It's all ways amazing. The shrimp fried rice, egg foo young and the shrimp with lobster sauce is amazing to die for... LOVE YOU YOUNGS!!

It was really good! I got the sesame chicken. It was a nice portion size and everything was cooked really well. I'm fairly new to this area and I cannot stop being amazed by how many good restaurants are around.

First, the food was delicious! We tried several different dishes and all of them were excellent! The service was above and beyond. We ordered online and everything was quick and perfect but we ended up needing a few extra items and they assisted us with what we should order and got it ready so fast! If I could give 10 stars I would. Awesome food, awesome service!

Disgusting it's not at all what it used to be. The brown fried rice isn't even brown anymore it's practically white rice and it's crunchy. The sweet and sour doesn't have the veggies it used to anymore and they charge 10x the amount they used to. Very disappointing. You want anything extra it'll cost you an arm.

The 2 stars are not food related, but more in their inability to handle a large amount of orders at once through their ordering service with a correct order status. We ordered our food and added we would like to pickup as soon as possible. Now it being Christmas Eve, so did everyone else apparently. Their online ordering service needs to update in real time to let customers know that the restaurant is overwhelmed, cannot keep up, and the remote promise of a half hour wait is not going to be even close to being correct. There were so many customers waiting around to get their food it was ridiculous and not any real way to cancel the order. They told one customer, "they'd try, but can't promise it will refund quickly." Will update once we actually get a chance to eat the food. Update: after waiting 1.5 hours, my food was finally ready. Fortunately for me they made orders out of sequence so mine was ready before others with lower order numbers. Anyways, I can't complain about the food as it was very delicious so ultimately changed to 4 stars based on food alone.

I'm blown away by how delicious the food is here. I got the sesame chicken and it was so flavorful. I also ordered crab ragoon and you can just tell the wantons were of a higher quality. The woman who took my order was so nice. I would highly recommend this place and it is my new spot for Chinese food.

Their food is the best I’ve tasted in Detroit in the 2 years I’ve been here from the South. The fried jumbo shrimp, Thai noodles, hushpuppies and fried oysters great. This is our go to restaurant for these things every time we want these foods. I hope you will keep it up. Look so forward to it Hope Patterson

This was the best place years ago, so I tried them again. Recipes are different got almond chicken dinner and there was no lettuce at the bottom. But the chicken and the rice were still good.

I often take my friends to this restaurant with my warmest recommendations. I go their often. This recommendation is always successful. The the cooking is appetizing and the stuff is very friendly and cooperative. Whenever we eat in this place we pass a cheerful evening. I recommend this place with pleasure.

Best egg-rolls I’ve had! I drive 30min to get them. So far all the food I have tried have been great! The chicken or shrimp sub gum chow main is really well made.

I have been bragging about this restaurant for years but I will no longer patronize this restaurant. I ordered general Taos chicken and was charged three dollars just for some extra onion. Every other restaurant in metro Detroit charges you two or three dollars for extra meat and maybe $.50 or one dollar extra for vegetables. I told the woman at the counter that is insane do you charge three dollars extra for just onions and she did not take my concern seriously. I will no longer eat at this restaurant.

Ordered the chicken chow mein and shrimp egg roll today off grub hub; the food was ready quickly and it was delicious. Good sized portion of chow mein with large pieces of chicken and lots of veggies; the egg roll was also very flavorful. Cant wait to try more menu items!

Very friendly service here and they are happy to customize your order. I love the fried bean curd with mixed vegetables. When asked for extra tofu, "you got it!" was the reply. I opened the container to find extra bean curd, as promised. So happy with that. They are very generous with the shrimp in seafood dishes and the egg rolls are on point. Be sure to ask for hot mustard, if you're into it... it's 🔥. I'll be back again and again.

Horrible. Took a chance and ordered from here even though I’ve lived in the area for most of my life and never go because I have memories of bad food. I decided to try it as they are open a little later than most (especially on a Sunday). My intuition was exactly right. My sesame chicken came with old dried up rice. The chicken itself was extremely dry and most pieces were hard and inedible. The sauce nothing like a sesame chicken sauce I’ve ever had- incredibly sour and just weird. The 2 pieces of broccoli you are lucky enough to get weren’t even cooked. Maybe I’ll try again another 2 decades.

Noodles are great, some of the best ive had in years. Pepper steak is great. Rice was fresh. Egg roles are tasty and big. All the dishes ive had have been absolutely stellar. The owner Joe is super friendly and nice to chat with when I pick up. Theres always a constant flow of people coming in and out to pick up orders. Sign of a good restaurant!

Best chinese takeout I've found in the area so far. It's consistently really, really good. Not much else to say.

No dine in, no frills. Just great tasting food at very reasonable prices for the amount you get. Been dishing out the goods for years and there's a reason there are often long lines of people waiting to get their orders. Shrimp in lobster sauce has been one of my family's favorites since I was a little kid, and this is the only place I found that does it right with a legit black bean garlic brown sauce.

Food here is always really good and fresh. The owners are the nicest people. We are trying to work our way through the menu but the favorite is always their general chicken!

  • 4/5 Dana M. 5 months ago on Google
About 8 dollar difference per plate if you have it delivered not including fee with door dash or Uber eats So pretty pricy at about 75 total for 3 people to have Chinese takeout. So maybe pick up if you can. The food was good though and packaged neatly.

Good take out place - ordered young’s chicken fried rice, dumpling, and egg roll. Dumpling was delicious, egg roll was so-so since too much bean sprouts inside it, fried rice was ok. Price wise perfect fit. $20 for all 3. Quick preparation. Good place to recommend if you feel some Chinese to eat after drinking.

Best chinese food in the area. Exceptional customer service. The nicest ownership too!

  • 5/5 J L. 3 years ago on Google
Look... I don’t even spend time writing reviews, but the customer service here was so outstanding that I had to write at least something. Not to mention, the food is remarkable (taste, presentation, everything). It was my first time there and Jo (the owner) was so welcoming and outgoing that it was almost unbelievable. For example, he gave us free samples and even found our car in the parking lot to hand deliver our food after we waited in the car for the food to be ready. They also assisted me on what to order based on what I typically like (which all of the choices ended up being delicious). This will be my main Chinese food spot from here on out while I’m in this area. No question. A+

I have been going there since 1992 then great hot food Now terrible cold food no sesame seeds on sesame chicken and old cold rotten not marinated broccoli. Soup used to be so hot you couldn’t eat it now won ton just had spinach and terrible wontons and ice cold. I have tried it 3 times and each time it gets worse I ask the to heat the broccoli the guy raughed and it was not cooked will not go there again Lims palace is closed I don’t know where else to go. So sad

I used to love this place but it’s gone downhill since the previous owners sold it. Everything is a little bit greasier and the wonton soup is both greasier and much saltier.

They were rated the number one Chinese restaurant in Royal Oak for 2020 and I can see why. I began going there as a result of the pandemic when most restaurants were closed and I am glad I did. Their food is plentiful and absolutely delicious. Each dish is bursting with great flavor. I'm a big fan of of their hot and sour soup, sczechuan beef or chicken. You will love this little place!

  • 5/5 Michelle D. 1 year ago on Google
Consistently delicious. Worth the extra money and always have leftovers. Best orange chicken!! Also love the chicken peanut pai thai with rice noodles. The hot sauce is way too hot. Use very sparingly. The dish is already perfectly seasoned of peanut n spice. Great staff/owners! I go here way tooo much! Love it! ❤
