👍👍 I went to Upsidedown Shoe Repair first where I was quoted $75 for sole replacement and informed that my shoes were probably not worth the repair cost. However, Homewood Shoe Hospital fixed my shoes for half the cost and they look and feel great! It was like buying brand new shoes for half the pric... I have been taking shoes, belts, purses, etc to Vic for at least 25 years. He’s amazing, friendly, talented, honest and can always help me or tell me what to do. If I have a shoe that is uncomfortable, I just take it to him and show him wear it hurts. He usually fixes it right away. I told him that my feet love him! I recently took a 45-year-old Gucci purse to him, and he made it look fabulous. He also added an extra 1/4” heel to some flat sandals to make them more comfortable. He can do almost anything, and I always think of him first when I need help.

This place is absolutely amazing! Although it was impossible to have the heel of the shoe to be cut down as far as I wanted, he demonstrated and showed my the reason why! His customer service was amazing!!! If you need your shoes repaired please stop be here ❤️

Dropped my Frye harness boots off to get new heels as the old ones had become brittle and chipping apart. I am very pleased with how they turned out. They even treated the leather. They were also kind enough to ship the boots back to me as I travel for work and was just passing thru Birmingham at the time I left them. They seem busy over there so I would expect to be without your boots for a week or two. So plan accordingly. It’s def worth it knowing they are in good hands and the job will be done right! Thanks!

I’m so glad to have found this place. I have never fixed my shoes but I’ve never thrown them out. I’m glad I finally trusted someone with my shoes. This place told me what they could fix and cost right up front. They did a great job and finished within the estimated timeframe. I’ll definitely bring other shoes here to be fixed.

My daughter goes to college in Mobile and was just in town for a few days and she needed her orthotics made before she left. He’s normally closed on Monday but he offered to open up this day just for us!! I felt so special! Dr. Costa is very nice and thorough. I highly recommend him..

I recently visited Homewood Shoe Hospital for some much-needed TLC for my trusty Frye boots, and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed by the incredible work they do every time. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly and went above and beyond to ensure my boots looked and felt as good as new. The quality of their craftsmanship is truly amazing, and I can see why they have such a strong reputation in the community. I am so grateful for the care and attention to detail they put into their work, and I will definitely be a loyal customer for years to come. Thank you, Homewood Shoe Hospital, for giving my beloved Frye boots a second life!

There are no words to even describe how good this business is! Vic is the absolute BEST! He is so kind and professional and just an absolute gem to the area! My mom is pretty much home bound and it is very difficult for her to get out. Vic went above and beyond to help my mom with her lift shoe and made every possible accommodation for her to be able to get her shoe with the least amount of time and effort on her part! I have been her caretaker for several years and Vic was by far the kindest and most understanding person we have dealt with! We could tell he truly wanted to help her with her mobility and took the time to understand what she needed to be as stable as possible when she is on her feet. I highly recommend you choosing them for all of your shoe repair needs!

Homewood Shoe Hospital is a fantastic establishment. The people who work there are extremely kind and take pride in their work. As long as I am in the area, I will never take my shoes anywhere other than this place.

I have used Homewood Shoe Hospital multiple times now and never been disappointed. The employees are always incredibly personable and excited about the work they’re doing. Got a pair of shoes resoled about a year ago and they haven’t even budged since and they’re my daily pair

I managed the Express Oil in Homewood and during that time I had a hip replaced. When replacing my hip my leg ended up being shortened by about a inch. Victor put a new sole on my work shoe to make life easier. Such great work. Forward ahead. My mother who is 105 ! that's right . Has been wearing regular tie shoes with a lifted sole. I thought , I'll get her slip on house shoes and see if Victor can fit a 1' thick sole on them. Well, he did , and they look GREAT. And my Mom. Wow is she ever HAPPY. Thanks Victor for your top quality workmanship. Tim Jasper

I’ve been in customer service-related fields for the majority of my life, but i’ve never encountered someone like Victor Costa and his daughter at Homewood Shoe Hospital. We don’t live in Homewood yet, but Victor and his daughter have taken care of my family twice now for very special local occasions, and I will never forget them. The most genuine, humble, Grace-filled people I’ve encountered in many, many years.

The work is great on my build up I had to have and the prices are very reasonable. Victor takes pride in what leaves his shop.

Victor has been doing my shoe lifts for the past year now. He is able to get the exact color of the bottom of the shoe and it is hard to tell a lift is even added. The quality and price are unmatched. He and his daughter do an amazing job with tremendous customer service. Can’t recommend enough.

I have had two pairs of my favorite shoes resoled/repaired here and both feel the same as new, or better than new. Cowboy boots that originally cost me $200 I had repaired for $70. Jungle style leather boots that originally cost me $180 that were repaired for $80. For under half the price of buying a new pair and getting to keep my favorite shoes; I say this place is a win. They are very honest about prices and work is completed on time. I will continue to use this store for years to come. It also feels good to re-use something for once instead of just throwing it away.
