" Rude & disrespectful " On 7/14/2018 , In Loving memory of Simon Prieto . I was asking for donations for a family funeral standing at the corner holding up one sign and I had taped the other to the utility box there on the corner. A man who was driving a wine color Nissan LP# 8COT583 came up to me and told me to get my signs and go across the street. This man talked to me with rudeness of almost like he disliked my race. When I asked him why he wanted me to cross the street if i was just standing on the side walk near the light. I kept getting a tone from him that was very rude so I then asked his name. I asked if he owned the property he said he did. I told him i was not harming him or destroying his property however i tried to explain to him my reason for being there and he showed no human kindness . I asked him if he was a man of god, why would he being a MAN talk to me with such disrespect in his voice? It sad when people pretend to be followers of god and are just disrespectful heartless people . This man had no need to speak to me with the tone and attitude . I even asked him why he felt he had to talk to me in such an ugly way ? He just turned and walked away . Yes I left but I feel it was ugly of that man to be so rude . However I asked his name again and he drove off parking towards the back end of this church he was talking to what looked to be a couple of men in a gardening truck.

New Life Church is beautiful. Since my first time here almost 3 years ago to now this Church has never let me down in experiencing God s love for me and his mercy. The people are so welcoming, the praise music is uplifting and touches my very heart. Restrooms are stocked and clean. Free coffee is delicious. Pastors are down to heart and full of God's praise. You never feel like an outsider here. Come and join a happy loving place to worship and praise our heavenly father, all are welcome

Went for the first time because of covid-19 and my financial situation to pick up a box of food. Oh my goodness! 6 boxes of food with protein like catfish fillets and chicken. I was amazed! Found stamps only last for 2 weeks. I am so thankful that they provide this service. Good people and very organized!

Tl;dr: No worship allowed. :/ A little bit about me: - I was a pastoral ministry major at Moody theological seminary. - I was classically trained in ballet for over 10 years. I'm not an attention seeker, the book that impacts my worship the most is Bonhoeffer's "Life Together". I walked to the back during worship and felt watched... I looked around for a space away from everyone. I walked into the narthex, looked around but it was still a very social space and there were too many eyes, it would be disruptive. Even weirder, I was not-so-subtly followed by a man who was clearly mean-mugging me. I walked back in to the service at stayed at the back in the corner, looking for solitude. I took my shoes off in a holy space, in a place not near anyone, not really in anyone's view - and I began worshipping Christ with the congregation. Something COMMONLY practiced in the Bible. At this point I was doing little more than pacing, hands up, bouncing on my toes. So quickly I was decended upon by an ego-tripping "security". He growled at me: "You better go sit down, boy." (I'm nearly 30) "You can't be jumpin' around like that." I went to go sit down. The sermon was great, but a pastor is only as impactful as the church let's them be. The message was clear before the sermon began - no worship allowed. It's best to not take these things personally - kick the dirt from your shoes. Just wanted to give a fair warning to those who worship unconventionally.

I love the pastors I love the message. The worship is moving. Just want to know if Jim takes any request of singing a song. He is blessed with a voice and his mum too. I would love to hear Jim sing i only can imagine, by mercy me.

New Life Church has been a life changing experience for me. I was first introduced to this great Christian Church by my son Tony who was only 13 years old at the time. He started attending New life Church with a couple of friends on Sundays, he just enjoyed it so much. He asked me to go with him and my husband one sunday when I had the day off, I have been going to New life Church ever since. It is very welcoming people are friendly and make you feel right at home. My husband and I have since been baptized, we have attended a few classes and he volunteers every Sunday at the coffee shop. I would like to invite everyone who wants a new and better life to join out great family at New life Church.

I don't hope God has a plan that MIGHT work (doubt is a devil's tool) I have faith God has a plan that WILL and IS working. The bass during the rock concert was too high to hear the words. No one sang along. The main guy started off with a joke I've heard before and then followed with a story about the Hatfield and McCoys. Ive heard the exact sermon before with better delivery. Find it on Kindle books if I'm not mistaken. ..if the coffee station and welcome station were switched it would make sense .. form a better line so i wouldn't have to stiff arm my way to the java.. would've met with the welcome people in the coffee corner but I kinda felt like the new kid at school standing in the front of the class....water tasted good everyone seemed super happy. I like the networking and fellowship though .... definitely like that over anything else.. churches can be so clicky and cause unnecessary drama...I'll be back, though ..if anything sit in the cafeteria area..wish they had that at my church when I was a teenager. Definitely didn't have flat screens and Starbucks back then.

Been going off and on through many years of my life. God is clearly working through this church. Pastor James is a Great Leader and a Humble man.

Everybody has been so kind to me and it’s been a blessing being here because now I have so many friends they are my family now I love this place God has me right where He wants me. Thank you Jesus

I really enjoy the services. They teach and it's a very relaxed.

NLC has always been so generous. Although I am not a member, NLC has never denied me food contributions even when I was no longer able to volunteer. I have prayer support from several members for myself and for my homeless ministry. I was even able to acquire 6 Bibles for the homeless ministry yesterday. I am grateful to Jesus ... for His great love and for NLC.

Love this church I went to visit with my son who lives in Bakersfield and he has been attending now every Sunday ! Thank you Jesus, he was one to never go to church by the way! I would be part of the church family but I’m in Los Angeles’ Bring Nee life to the San Fernando valley please. Pastor is so welcoming and also is pastor Gus. Thank for all your support for lost souls. Your a blessing to many !

I am fairly new going through a time in my life where I am finally seeking God and praying to him more attending church every sunday. I have a question... Does anyone know if they have wednesday service as well?
