First, if you want dinner, they allow you to bring your own - and even mention Arctic Circle burgers in their online FAQ. Yes, you should support the theater by purchasing their snacks and drinks, but their "entrees" are all from the frozen food section of the local grocery or Costco. Frozen pizza, White Castle sliders, etc. Heated up of course, but pretty average at best. They have a great candy and snack selection, including popcorn. Having done a fair number of drive-in theaters around the West, this one has tighter rows and a smaller lot (and smaller screen). A lot of people backed in their SUV's and put up their tailgates - blocking the lower part of the screen for those behind them. Not the theater's fault, but the tighter rows make it worse. The FM sound was great and actually broadcasts pretty far from the theater. The picture was clear and had great color. The nostalgic introduction reels were fun. Surprised they did the national anthem at the beginning, albeit with few paying attention. Still impressive. Finally, the owner/manager/"narrator" that speaks at the start and during intermissions is great. A little bit of trivia and good sense of humor. Also the only drive-in we have seen that tells you how to defeat the always-on parking lights in newer cars if you want to keep it on for the radio (engage the parking brake, turn the lights off, then turn off the car - you can then turn it on and the lights won't come on until you disengage the parking brake). Oh, and get there early on opening nights - it was almost full three hours before showtime!

This drive-in is a National Treasure. The food is perfectly, gut-bustingly delicious. The workers went around and tied everyone's tailgates down so everyone could see. The sound played clearly over our car radio. There was a moment of pure nostalgia when the 80's music was playing across the field and I felt like it was 1985 again. Teenagers were playing ball games on the paths and families were gathered, eating popcorn and the best footlong hotdogs ever and laughing while the sun went down. This is the best of Oregon.

My son and I went for the first time to 99W drive-in last night. We had to wait in line for over an hour to get to individual who was taking the money. They could have had two people working the admissions it would have sped things up. Just as we were about to get to pay some people just walked up infront of all of us who had to wait in our cars, and they got to pay and go in. I thought that I was going to a DRIVE-IN? Doesn't that require a car? If not, then they should have had to stand in line with the cars and wait like the rest of us! The bathrooms became co-mingled with the guys using the urinals and the gals using the stall in the Men's bathroom. There is no real privacy for the guys at the urinals! The radio transmitted the movie well, and the screen was visible for the most part. People had their lift gates up blocking others view of part of the screen. I remember when Dallas had the drive-in. They would come around and check that your lift gate was only level with your vehicle. If not, they would give you twine to hold it down far enough to still have it up, but not block others view.

Always a great time at 99W! Retro vibes, excellent prices, delicious popcorn, and first run movies are an excellent experience for any movie lover. Viewer beware: they tend to sell out real early so do yourself a favor and arrive early to support not just a local independent theater owner but one of the last surviving Drive-in theaters in America if not the world! Thanks 99W, you were awesome when we moved here in 2001 and you're still awesome in a post-Covid 2023! Looking forward to bringing my grandsons to see movies in a few years when they're old enough and for decades to come!!! πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

I adore this place, it's just the coolest. They show such a fun selection of movies (new and old!), have a huge variety of snacks, and have only ever been really kind to me! My favorites are the Thursday Night Terrors, where they show a classic horror movie during the spooky season. They also do a great job of supporting indie filmmakers, I've loved seeing the coolest short films I otherwise might never have encountered. Thanks, 99w crew! You rock!

Awesome movies. Great junk food. Wholesome, nostalgic, romantic. Doesn't get much better than this on a summer night. Get there by 5:30 to 6. No later or they will sell out. Bring an fm radio or be able to keep your car radio on with the car off. Read the website section called Rules for a LOL.

I love this place! It is soo much fun to take the kids and watch a couple new movies. I went and saw the Blue Beetle and the Barbie movie and it was awesome! I recommend showing up about an hour early to get good spot and bring a portable radio. You listen to the movie on the radio. It's soo much fun if you stay for both movies you'll be there till around one AM.
