We stayed at the Wilburton for the canine Christmas slumber party and had a wonderful time! The property is beautiful, with great views of the mountains. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We loved how dog- friendly the hotel was and all the activities available for the weekend were very fun. Highly recommend staying with your pup!

We stayed at The Green Mountain House at the Wilburton while my daughter competed in The Vermont Summer Festival. The location is close to the horse show grounds and to town, but the house is set back with the most glorious private view of the mountains. My daughter and I agree that having lunch on our back porch overlooking the mountains was the most peaceful time in our lives. The house has everything a family needs -- well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds. Very quiet and peaceful. The innkeepers give you your privacy but are there for anything you need. We had a dramatic storm one of the nights of our stay, cutting out all power. Melissa arrived immediately, bearing candles and chocolates and updating us on the state of the power. It turned out to be a favorite night for us! Highly recommend and we cannot wait to return.

There is a delightful slowness in VT - you can expect a half hour wait even at an empty deli - but the Wilberton is an exception. There is always a staff or family member joyously catering to every need you can come up with -- if they have not already anticipated it. Cold hibiscus ice tea, umbrellas for the rain, babysitters, everything is there so that convenience perfectly provides the frosting on the cake, the cake being elegant surroundings, gorgeous land and views, art, delicious fresh food and wine and a familial friendly atmosphere. Too many details to possibly mention including the flowers, the wallpaper and gorgeous outdoor nighttime lighting make this place lovably unforgettable. Many (including myself) called it the finest hotel experience thus far in their lives !

Truly the most magical place. We had our wedding at the Wilburton in September and everything was perfect thanks to their amazing staff (especially Meesha). Everyone was so kind and accommodating and really treated us like family. After our wedding our guests couldn’t stop complimenting use about the place. Thank you for everything!!

Took our Cavalier puppy on her 1st vacation here. Our suite was lovely, the grounds eclectic but also lovely! The innkeeper that we met I think Meisha was delightful 😊. We had a wonderful stay for our 1st visit to VT. We'd definitely go back again.

Wonderful and beautiful location, fantastic folks who run the inn - we've been coming here 6+ years, every year, and can't wait to get back. If you are looking for the perfect Vermont vacation this is the place to stay. The area around the inn is filled with great hikes & great shops.

An amazing gem in a fabulous location. The rooms in the inn are wonderful, and the adjacent cottages are also well-appointed with all modern amenities. It's only minutes to town yet bucolic and totally separate. The food and service is excellent; when I left my room during the day for an interval my room was made up immediately. The family that owns the inn are warm and engaging, happy to provide insight and suggestions as needed.

We had 3 generations travel from CA and DC to the Wilburton Inn to enjoy the spectacular murder mystery weekend. It was the perfect weekend for all of us! The magnificent 1902 mansion was magical and felt like home with the generous hospitality of the Levis family, luxurious beds and home cooked meals. We made friendships with guests from all over and I will never forget my Mother’s smile when she guessed the murderer! Finding a place that fit all our needs and gave us pure joy and laughter will be cherished forever! Can’t wait to come back and share this remarkable place with our special friends and family!

What a gem! You will feel at home with a stay at the Wilburton upon the first interaction with Melissa and team before you even arrive. Family-run, the Levis family is extremely warm and accommodating. The inn has INCREDIBLE views all around the property and is extremely conveniently located to Manchester - a great town to visit with excellent dining, hiking, shopping all nearby. My group and I drove up to Manchester from NYC for the fabulous Murder Mystery weekend and stayed in the Green Mountain House. The house was perfect for our group - spacious, comfortable, with a fun somewhat retro feel. We had a blast and highly recommend the Wilburton! We can't wait to return! :)

Family of 10. My wife and I, 2 sons with their wives and each with 2 daughters (ages-15,12,10 and 9) stayed for a week at the Green Mountain House which was spacious with everything we needed for eating all our meals and relaxing. A extensive porch and gas barbecue allowed for outdoor cooking The grounds were amazing with a wonderful collection of sculptures of diverse types. Plus a pool, just steps away, which all of us used. And so many restaurants, stores and places of interest nearby. A ski resort with summer activities, local horseback riding and river rafting added fun for our grandchildren. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

We recently hosted our annual fundraising Gala at the Wilburton Inn with more than 200 guests. From start to finish Tajlei, Meesha and the entire team provided a 5 Star experience. They guided us through the process for months and made every step simple and painless. They really made us feel like we were the only event they were planning, when I know they were very busy with wedding season. The Inn and grounds are beautiful. The food was incredible, the servers and bartenders were warm and friendly and the grounds crew was always quick to help. We had several last minute changes and the team accommodated them seamlessly and with a smile. We have already reserved our date for next year. Thank you Wilburton team for a truly exceptional experience! Mary Francis Burr and Burton Academy

What a magical place! We loved staying at the Wilburton, nestled above the crowds of Manchester, but minutes away from it all. Our stay in the Innkeeper’s Cottage was wonderful, with unparalleled mountain views. We loved touring the sculpture gardens and walking the woods with our dog. And the inn owners could not have been lovelier! Our new favorite place to stay.

We always love to keep coming back to the Wilburton. Best folks who have a real appreciation for quality and a time of when people are accessible and real caretakers of a very large and wonderful place to keep up. Somehow they do it and oh so well.

We just finished a weekend at the Wilburton as our daughter got married. Working with the staff at this beautiful eclectic incredible, gorgeously set Inn for the last 6 months has been an absolute pleasure. Meesha, in charge of just about everything, was a delight to work with, professional, kind, thoughtful, and organized. The Wilburton has a list of suggested vendors that are top notch. Our officiant was also suggested to our daughter and son-in-law and she was a dream come true. The food was the best wedding dining we have ever had ~ I do not exaggerate~the flavors, the presentation, the offerings~ I mean I could go on!! If you are planning a wedding DO NOT hesitate to visit this beautiful VT spot and please consider. BTW, the weather is never an issue at the Wilburton because their indoor plans are as lovely as the setting outdoors. I sound like I'm paid to write this or related and I assure you I am not. When I say this weekend was beyond are expectations it is not an exaggeration. Melissa the owner greeted us as well and was as excited as we were to enjoy the weekend at the Wilburton.

We recently hosted a political fundraiser at the Wilburton and the event was a big success, due in no small part to the fabulous venue. The tent was spacious and scenic, the staff was friendly and efficient, the food and bar service fantastic. It was a perfect setting and I would definitely choose the Wilburton for a future event. Attendees came away very impressed.

Beautiful historic inn. Warm and friendly environment. Tons of family activities (tennis, swimming, yard games, volleyball) Bridgerton-style ball Saturday night = Unsurpassed great time in southern Vermont If I could, I'd hold my wedding there (I've been happily married for almost 25 years!)

The minute you turn up the winding, tree-lined drive to the Inn you know you are somewhere special. Even my fourteen-year-old put her phone down in acknowledgement and then immediately picked it up again to take pictures of the beautiful views. Our room was cozy and very clean. The beds were comfortable and offered both blankets and big fluffy duvets. We could pop into town in a couple of minutes and then escape back to our mountain retreat. The drive to skiing was easy and the Inn staff were always available if we needed anything or if we had any questions about where to go or what to do. Just wandering around the expansive Wilburton property, with its sculptures and views, is an activity of its own. An absolutely wonderful destination for a mother/daughter ski trip!

My extended family has joined for a weekend at the Battenkill house for 2 years for our Christmas weekend and we plan to make this a long lasting tradition! The rooms are perfect, beautiful and comfortable, lots with en suite bathrooms. The kitchen is a chef's dream and there's plenty of room to spread out and enjoy. The best part is the location to town! Melissa is a wonderful host and my family had a truly perfect weekend together!

I can't say enough great things about the Wilburton Inn! The Wilburton was home for the past week while we celebrated our best friends' wedding. The venue is gorgeous! It really felt like home for the time we were there - piling into each others' beds to watch movies, walking the grounds in the mornings having coffee, and enjoying the spectacular view. We're from San Antonio, Texas so it was perfect weather to escape the Texas heat. The staff were so kind and really made us feel like we were at home. The wedding went off without a hitch and our friend group is already talking about renting out the Wilburton Inn again for a couples retreat.

Simply a magical place! My son and daughter in law, got married on October 15, 2022 at the Wilburton Inn. It was the most beautiful wedding I have ever attended. Our family and Friends had a wonderful time at the welcoming bon fire, rehearsal dinner and then the wedding. It was a fall crisp sunny day the mountains and trees where in peak fall foliage. The pictures were spectacular. Our accommodations were lovely, clean, neat, full kitchens we had a blast! The staff were so kind always there to help with a smile. The food was delicious farm to table. Extra shout to the wedding planner Meesha she was hands on with all the details the entire weekend, she really made the wedding so special. If you are planning a destination wedding look no further and get married in the fall you will not be disappointed. Looking forward to visiting next year on our children’s 1st year wedding anniversary. Loved everything about the venue. I am still on cloud nine about the wedding!!! Wilburton Inn is a perfect 10.

Southwestern Vermont Health held a very important cocktail reception and presentation at the Wilburton Inn last month for our most cherished supporters. The event was exceptional! The staff was wonderful, the appetizers were fabulous, the signature drink they created was unique and the venue was beautiful! I highly recommend the Wilburton Inn for special events!

What a spectacular place to get away. Something out a great novel. Gilded age mansion - but complete with all the modern conveniences. The property is just gorgeous - green mountains surrounding the beautiful lawn and refreshing evening breezes at night. My room was lavishly appointed and enormous. And what a view to wake up to - mists over the hills. Had me thinking of the musical Brigadoon. Made great use of the pool and tennis court. My hosts were gracious accommodating and generous. I'm definitely coming back.

We had the best time ever! We have been coming to Vermont for 3+ years for a soccer tournament and by far this was the best weekend ever. we were greeted upon entering the house. Every room, every bathroom every space was super clean. There was plenty of space for everyone to sleep. Kitchen was stocked, coffee makers were stocked it was amazing. (Just don't put anything on top of the stove!--yep I learn the hard way sometimes) LOL. There were high chairs, pack & plays, fans just about everything you could imagine. Being able to have 3 soccer teams together was amazing! Great space to eat, sleep and have a great time. The stories from the boys and girls will last a lifetime but we will be back to make more memories. Communication with Melissa --outstanding -- Only downside the pond --we were there when well it wasn't swimmable

The Battenkill Valley Mansion at the Wilburton was the perfect location for our extended family to stay for our family reunion in Manchester. The house was large enough for us all to have private beds and baths, and the communal areas brought us all together. We loved playing together in the game room, cooking favorite family recipes in the commercial kitchen, and making campfires. A glass of wine on the gazebo or enjoying our books from Northshire Bookstore on the hammock were lovely ways for the adults to spend the afternoon, and the kids enjoyed searching for fish in the pristine lake on the property and playing the outdoor games and stargazing in the big field. Our favorite activity was playing live action Among Us, and we all felt the house would be a perfect setting to host a murder mystery dinner or escape room. Our host Melissa was wonderful to work with, and we had everything we could possibly need and more. It was truly a dream location for our reunion and we wholeheartedly recommend it!

The Wilburton Inn exceeded our expectations. The private location yet very short distance to the Village was just what we hoped for. The Inn is magnificent, the rooms very well appointed and comfortable. Speaking of comfort, the bed was Just Right. Staff was most welcoming, charming and directed us to the best places to eat and explore. The great room with the grand fireplace offered us a place to relax and make some new acquaintances. Manchester was hosting its annual Christmas Tractor Parade. The was reminiscent of the quintessential Vermont experience. We have found another great destination with the Wilburton and plan to return, often.

I visited as part of a large family reunion that reserved the entirety of the main mansion, and we will delighted with both the accommodations and service! The rooms were very diverse and all comfortable (though if you are traveling solo, I suggest inquiring with the staff about the floorplan; my room was small for my taste, but given the variety, they have a room for every desire). Our event also featured catered breakfast and dinner, buffet style, that were all fantastic (even during a power outage on one evening due to very severe weather, dinner was still exactly on time and delicious; BIG props to the staff!) The pool is cleaned regularly and kept in excellent condition, we spent many long hours there enjoying a relaxing afternoon. The grounds of the resort feature a very wide array of biblical art installations, which some folks may find not to their liking, however I did not find my experience to be hindered by these as the natural scenery of Vermont provides plenty to soak in! All in all, I would eagerly recommend this establishment for special occasions to make lasting family memories!

The Wilburton Inn is first rate! ! Beautiful views, clean and comfortable rooms with great character. Melissa, the wonderful Inn keeper, welcomes her guests with a winning smile and warmth. She is most accommodating and kind. She has excellent recommendations of things to do and see in and around Manchester.

Wilburton is a rare find. Not only have we had two of our children’s weddings there where we got to see their commitment to total excellence in every area whether it be rooms or food or service of any kind. But also a family run Inn where they make you feel like you are their family. Whatever your concern or need is somebody is there to fulfill it. Going beyond sometimes what you even ask for. Innovative thinking about creating a little extra sprinkle of magic at our weddings. Years after the weddings family coming to this area stay there. I’ve always gotten heartwarming reports of wonderful stays whether in a room or a house at this absolutely gorgeous venue. The main house is exquisite. Not to mention gorgeous views. Truly Wilburton Inn one of a kind.

We can’t thank you enough for our wonderful stay at the Wilburton. It was everything we had imagined---delightful time with those we love who also could enjoy the magic of your place and the beautiful surroundings. Everyone was so welcoming and helpful. The food was terrific. When we first saw the terrace and the lawn, we were sold----and our dreams came true, seeing the little ones dancing and playing on that lawn and sitting with family on the terrace and visiting while looking out at the mountains. It is amazing that this beautiful mansion can yet function as a home for all ages. With much appreciation, Mark and Melissa
