Where do I start with Brandywine at Toms River? I have to start with that this place makes you feel like a part of the family! The staff know my name and who I am here to see as soon as I walk in the door. I have visited other family members in different Assisted Livings and toured a lot of different Assisted Livings and nothing has come close to Brandywine! The building is immaculate and feels like more of a hotel/home rather than a hospital type setting. My grandmother loves her apartment, the food, and activities and well just about everything, I could go on for days. She loves her personal care aids and nurses that take extra special care of her and I can see that they love her back. I never have to worry about my grandma which gives me the greatest feeling of relief! The nurses always reach out to me if there is any issues with my grandma or even if she is just having a bad day and think she could use a visitor. And visitors are welcome 24 hours a day which is extra important for me since I work long days. All in all, If you move your loved one here I promise you will not regret it! My grandmother is loved, cared for, fed and entertained 24hrs a day! Thank you Brandywine for all you do!!!

My Dad recently moved to Brandywine in Toms River. What a wonderful place to call home. Dad is so happy! Loves the food, his room and the staff. Everyone with whom we came in contact is kind, joyful, helpful and efficient. Smiles all around. Thank you all at Brandywine for making this move (for a 97 year old) easy and stress free.

Brandywine Living at Toms River has been providing a professional, healthy and caring experience for my 96 year old Mom, who has lived there for 6 years. The entire staff provides many opportunities for her to enjoy life, including social activities, excellent meals, entertainment and friendship. Brandywine staff regularly monitors Mom’s health and her well-being, and has provided several different types and levels of care as her needs changed. They keep the family informed of any health issues or other concerns. Mom has always been a very social and outgoing person and Brandywine provides an environment for her to continue to live a full and happy life. Because of these things, our family can sleep comfortably at night. Brandywine is truly a class operation.

My mother Victoria (90 years old) lived at home with my husband and me when she unfortunately suffered a fall and broke her hip last November. She also has dementia that continues to progress. While in rehab, it became clear that living at home was not the safest option for her any longer. Victoria is extremely social and needed an environment that stimulated her and met her social needs, as much as it did her physical needs. I cannot be thankful enough for being introduced to Brandywine Living at TR. From day one, the team has been exceptional in making mom feel welcome and at home. She has made great friends and spends the vast majority of her time in the community, not in her room alone. She brags about the activities that keep her busy every day- from the games to the entertainment to the arts and crafts. And, she LOVES her dining experiences. She says it's "fine dining, all day, every day". Thank you to the entire BW@TR team for making Victoria happy, safe and feeling at home!!!

Wow!! What a great fit for our mom. After her emergency hospital stay and time in rehab it was quite obvious that mom needed assisted living. My sister and I contacted several local centers inquiring about a respite stay for mom to give us time to find the right situation. Brandywine staff came to our rescue. They responded immediately, coordinated a visit, evaluated mom, and took charge of her transfer from rehab. We were fully informed and involved in the whole process which was wonderfully smooth and professional. They figuratively (and literally) rolled out the red carpet! During the respite period we researched and visited other centers and easily realized Brandywine was the absolute best for our mom. What was a respite stay is now a permanent residency of 4 months and going strong. The facility is great, obviously designed with a focus toward the residents. It’s a great layout for community activities, dining, social gatherings, family visits, personal care, etc. You’ll regularly see residents gathering in the common living areas or out front on nice days. It truly has a welcoming and cheerful ambiance. You sense it and see the smiles as soon as you walk in, this is a happy place. The reception attendants are always cheerful and very helpful. The medical staff and aids are top notch. The administration team is wonderfully helpful and professional. Even the facility support staff go out of their way to help out. It’s a real team environment. Mom’s needs are always attended to with courtesy, respect, and dignity. My sister and our families are so grateful to have found Brandywine and what a great experience it is for our mom. We sleep soundly now knowing that mom is looked after with compassionate care and perhaps getting spoiled a bit 😊 as he deserves. We highly recommend Brandywine Living at Toms River.

So grateful my Mom is in her 3rd year TRULY Living, and Thriving, at Brandywine Toms River. Excellence in compassionate care is at the top of the list, but it’s the remarkable daily itinerary of activities, events, and menu that all residents enjoy which reminds me how lucky we are to have Mom there. Every night when we speak my Mom is filled with gratitude and joy to have spent another great day in community at Brandywine. The staff and her friends there are like family to her, and she could not be more content. Never is this more pointed then when I speak to my friends who have family members in care in other residences. There is simply NO COMPARISON to level of empathy, kindness, and care my Mom and her fellow residents receive. To be able to go to sleep at night and know that my mom is in the very best place, one that she Loves, and couldn’t be happier or better cared for, is the definition of invaluable. Thank You, one and all, at Brandywine Toms River, for all you do. The best decision of my life, bar none.

My mom has been a resident of Brandywine living in Toms River for over two years and she thoroughly loves it. The staff are professional, caring, kind and incredibly accommodating. The facility is spectacular from the common areas, to the apartments. My mom has a very spacious bedroom with a walk-in closet. There is a nice size living room, with a small kitchen area with plenty of space for her belongings and a very large bathroom. Brandywine offers much more than living and eating accommodations, but a real quality of life. There are daily activities and events of all types. I am happy that my mom can interact with others on a daily basis and can enjoy her life. Since I live an hour and half away I can only get down to see here once a week, but I have peace of mind, since I know she is being taken care of. Brandywine and the staff are truly a blessing and I can not thank them enough for all they do for my mom and the other residents.

I am posting on my husband’s site my name is Eileen . My mom has been a resident at the brandywine Living in Toms River for a little over a month. Her name is Arlene. She is 89 and will be 90 in several months. She has received the best care ever. Everyone is very kind and helpful. The nurses are very caring and always keep you informed. The follow up with anything is on spot . I was a nurse for 40 years and this is a dream place for anyone who needs care . My mom loves it at Brandywine and she is not easy. Caitlin who is the admission director and many other titles always gets back to you . The receptionist is always available and kind . The food is fantastic. Actually whenever we visit always at any time we visit someone is always asking if they can help. I could go on and on about our experiences here. All I know is that it was a hard decision to have our mom placed anywhere. Brandywine in Toms River is a dream come true! Eileen

My dad has been at Brandywine for about 22 months. I was concerned about finding another place after my dad's senior residence had closed down. Plus there was the issue of finding a new place while the pandemic was still going on. As soon as I spoke with the staff that were responsible for admissions for new residents, I felt at ease. When I toured the facility I liked it even more. The transition from his previous residence was seamless. Brandywine at Toms River has a homey feel. It's small enough where everyone knows your name after a short time. Brandywine has more daily activities than most places. They have a wonderful staff who are always available if you have questions. If any issues do come up, they notify me immediately. I don't live close by, so all of these things give me peace of mind. I highly recommend Brandywine Living at Toms River.

I have had the opportunity to provide home health and outpatient services in Brandywine Toms River over the past several years. I find the staff to be friendly, warm and consistently providing a great experience for the residents. I have witnessed the care and operational teams putting the residents first and going above and beyond regularly!

I recently sent this to Lisa DeCicco, the executive Director of Brandywine at Toms River. My father has been a resident for 3 years. I have been meaning to send this for weeks, and am so happy to be finally telling you about my observations over the past few months. First I would like to commend your staff...all of them without exception have gone above and beyond to make my Dad's life a little happier and more comfortable. Thanks to Helen who cares for my Dad physically, emotionally and spiritually. Especially, I would like to mention Maria, the nurse who is assigned to him; every nurse knows him and they express their caring and concern for him and me calling me when I need to know something. Sean on 3 to 11 has been especially attentive. I am so grateful for their loving care. Thanks to Albina and Chrissy in the dining room, and all the other dining staff who make his dining experience a positive one. Thanks to the aides who make sure he gets to the dining room. Thanks to Joey, Kaitlin and Emily at the front desk, who have responded to my many calls with caring patience and always provide the information I ask for and assure me that my Day is okay. The women who clean his room and do his laundry also deserve kudos, as do all the staff that keep the entire facility clean, cozy and odor free. The positive change since you have become the Director is evident. Thanks also to Michelle Chamberlain, Director of Wellness, who has "talked me off a ledge" more than once and who oversees all of the care provided to the residents. I am so happy with Dad's care...and he is too! Especially I would like to acknowledge Carlos, who from the first day has become my father's champion and who ensures the care he receives is excellent. He has been so kind and generous to my Dad and my family. It is he I would like to nominate for employee of the month. With sincere thanks, Pat K

My 95 year old mother was transferred to Brandywine Assisted Living after a 5 week stay from a subacute facility. The staff was so kind and respectful to ensure she would be able to make a good transition to her new living arrangements. Their professional care has continued to make my mother’s stay as comfortable as possible. I sleep comfortably at night knowing that she is receiving the best care. Erin, .Director of Reflections keeps me constantly updated on my mother’s condition. While I expect the professional care, Erin goes above and beyond and I truly believe she cares deeply for my mom. The Nursing aid staff makes sure my mom is clean, well nourished, and covered in her warm blankets. I am so deeply grateful for all the love and care they provide. I would also like to thank Lisa DeCicco Executive Director and Renee Foulks Director of Community Relations for your kindness and caring. I am forever grateful.

My mom has been a resident at Brandywine for 7 months. So far the staff have been GREAT! Her move in was very easy and they took great care to help her transition to a new place. They have lots of activities for the residents to participate in and the food is VERY GOOD. They have a wonderful nursing staff and there is always a nurse there 24/7 to assess any situation that may come up. This is important because in many places, a nurse needs to be called in if someone is not feeling well. The place is kept very clean and the staff really take the time to get to know the residents and their families. I looked for 6 months in Central NJ before deciding on Brandywine and in my opinion, it is the best facility. Frank, Lisa and Linda worked with me to get my mother into the facility and made the process very easy. They were all very kind and paid very close attention to my moms needs. I sleep very well at night knowing my mom is properly looked after.

My mom is very happy since she has been living at Brandywine Assisted Living in Toms River for the past three months. After looking at nine assisted living facilities within Ocean and Monmouth counties, we feel confident we chose the right one! The staff, the food, and the variety of activities have all been great and given my mom a new lease on life, unlike the previous year with her living in her home alone with minimal social interaction. My family and I have all seen an improvement in her outlook on life. On numerous occasions when we call, her tone is wonderful and she will frequently say “ I am busy right now, can I call you back a little bit later”. She constantly raves about the quality of the meals, staff and spends very little time in her room watching TV. We can now confidently continue to move on with our lives knowing that she is well taken care of!

Brandywine at Tom's River was truly a lifesaver for my mom. She has all her personal needs met and is engaged in daily activities including those that she had never dreamed of trying. The staff is very caring and make the residents and family feel comfortable. I highly recommend this facility for your loved ones.

My mom has been at Brandywine in Toms River for 6 months. The staff is wonderful, the facility is clean and well maintained. There are plenty of activities that exercise both the body and mind. It is a bit more expensive than most places in the area, but we have found it to be well worth it. If you are looking for an assisted living facility for your loved one, I would definitely recommend Brandywine.

FABULOUS ASSISTED LIVING FACILITY!!! My mom has been at Brandywine ,Toms River for 3.5 years. After her first stroke she truly needed some extra care plus covid was upon us. Mom lived 60 miles from me so it was decided to look for an assisted living in Toms River, where I reside, so I could assist with her care and make decisions more easily. In researching, many assisted livings in the area, Brandywine truly stood out from them all. Although, a little more expensive. I worked with Renee in sales, and she truly sold me on this facility due to their compassion, safety and concerns for their residents...plus 24.7 nursing care was a plus. I had to move quickly so the facility helped me furnish her apartment because at that time, it was very difficult to do that and it was very much appreciated and the move was seamless. During covid, the facility was pretty much on lockdown so you could not see your loved one. They were so helpful during this time to either make an appt to see your loved one through a window or facetime calls. They went above and beyond to make this happen. Since that time my mom has suffered 3 more strokes and a heart attack. It has been very trying for me but, once again, the Brandywine was by her side every step of the way . The nursing staff had their hands full daily and they truly were exceptional. Always keeping me abreast of her situation and resolves. They are so knowledgeable, caring and attentative and always kept me informed with any new developments with her health. Thank you to the nursing staff!!!!! AT the Brandywine, they truly care about the residents, safety, health and happiness and make them comfortable. Each employee truly cares about my mom and they are always so kind, friendly and helpful. The Brandywine also has many amenities including, in house activities, taking residents shopping and to restaurants, ball games, Atlantic city, dr's appointments plus an in house beauty salon. The Brandywine provides many levels of care. Since my mom entered the facility her health has since deteriorated. She has now suffered from yet another stroke, which has enabled her to eat whole foods, walk, talk plus the progression of dimentia is getting worse. She has now been moved to another section of the facility "REFLECTIONS" where they dress her, feed her minced food, and now has 24/7 care. They once again moved her to another room seamlessly. Thank you all for your exceptional care! I must also mention that Grace care has stepped in to help assist with my mom. Thank you Grace for always keeping me informed of her situation and your exceptional care for my mom. It is very much appreciated. I cannot say enough about the nursing staff, management staff, front desk staff, restaurant staff, cleaning staff and of course the entertainment/activity staff. Each employee is truly remarkable. Brandywine Toms River, is truly the best experience I have ever had and the best decision I have made. And I can rest assured that she is in the best care facility. You are a 10 Star facility. I HIGHLY recommend them.

My dad is a 98 year old WWII veteran who has resided at Brandywine in Toms River for 2 1/2 years. He has been thriving since he moved in. He is treated with kindness and respect from each employee including upper management. I cannot say enough great things about the nursing staff. They are top notch, are so easy to communicate with, and truly care about my dad. The building is immaculate and visiting is a pleasure. Finally, while I know this is cliche, I truly sleep well at night knowing my dad is so well cared for.

After mom had a medical episode at home and was no longer able to live alone, we knew the time had come to make a change. We were very Happy with Brandywine as my Mother in Law was there for several years prior. We chose Brandywine again for mom. She is very happy there and even though it was tough with the COVID-19 pandemic, she couldn't be happier. The staff is extremely friendly and competent along with the nursing staff. She enjoys the meals and wonderful desserts. I would highly recommend Brandywine in Toms River should the need arise for your family!

My mother is in the early stages of Alzheimer's disease and was living alone and clearly declining mentally and physically due to a lack of meaningful routine, socialization and activity. After extensively researching all available options, Brandywine Living at Toms River was the overwhelming clear and only choice for her. In the 18 months my mother has resided at Brandywine, her mini mental scores have actually improved and her renewed energy and interest in new activities is remarkable. The consistent structure of her day-to-day living allows my mother to still safely and independently enjoy her life while the amazing staff at Brandywine are always on hand should she need any assistance. This experience has far exceeded our family's expectations and my mother could not be happier with her life at Brandywine.

My mom has been a resident at Brandywine Living at Toms River for ten years. She was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s at an early stage, so it made sense to establish her in a community that would adjust to her needs. Our family was assured that mom would be treated like family, and that she would be made to feel at home from the first day. That was absolutely true, and continues to be true ten years later. The building is always spotlessly clean and bright. That was the first impression when I first walked in for a tour, and again, remains true today. Some staff has changed over the years, but Brandywine is committed to excellence in those who care for our family members. The level of care is everything we hoped it would be, and changes are handled seamlessly by the executive staff. The staff keeps family informed and involved, which is greatly appreciated. Activities and outings are well thought out and enjoyed by the residents. Mom has especially loved the art classes. The health, safety and happiness of the residents is clearly the main goal of Brandywine Living. For mom and our family, they go above and beyond to ensure those goals are met.

In May of 2017 after learning of our mother’s illness, our family was faced with the need to find a home for our mother. Finding a place for mom was important because we (the family) could not be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and give mom the care and therapy required as she navigated her illness. Rather than take on this responsibility, we chose to seek a residence that could and would be home for mom and support mom through visits. We visited many assisted living facilities within Ocean County. In July we settled on Brandywine Senior Assisted Living in Toms River. Mom acclimated quickly as the staff at Brandywine takes time and care to ensure all residents are included and familiar with the programs that are available to them - not just on day one, but throughout the residents stay. The building is clean and kept up to date. Walking through the front door anytime of day always resulted with a smile and a ‘Welcome’ from the staff at the front desk. On ordinary days, the building is quiet with just the daily activities of exercise, arts and crafts and games, but when it comes time to party the staff and residents pull out all of the stops! 😊 The dining room serves three meals a day and all of them very good. It was not uncommon to visit and grab a meal. Becoming acquainted with other residents is a pleasant byproduct of the environment at Brandywine. The dining room staff knows every resident by name and personally cater to their individual needs. The nursing staff (wellness center) goes above and beyond to ensure each resident receives what they need, listens to each resident for new needs, or to address new developments. Communication to the family / care-taker is timely and proper – and in plain language to help the caregiver understand what is needed. Having been caregivers for elderly parents, safety, meals and medical are the most important factors that puts our minds at ease – and Brandywine excels in these areas. In addition to the three areas noted above, and no less important, the daily staff that provide support (facility, cleaning, care, operations, finance, repair, etc) often times go unnoticed. Having been at Brandywine since July of 2017, I can attest to the dedication, care, friendliness and longevity of the staff at Brandywine. The management team creates a very good environment for staff to be happy and thrive, and it is very apparent each time I walked through the door. Over the time mom was at Brandywine, meeting with, or impromptu conversations were always very easy and welcomed with every staff member and management. Eventually mom required transitioning from an assisted living room to Reflections (the memory care area) where additional care is provided around the clock. The transition was seamless, the care excellent. Mom was with Brandywine for two and a half years; we could not have chosen a better place.
