Most
restaurants
feed
the
stomach.
Shimogamo
feeds
the
soul.
Man,
I
really
do
mean
that.
It's
an
incredible
experience
that
will
keep
you
thinking
back
to
the
food-memories
you
created
there.
I'd
compare
it
to
Michelin-star
restaurants
I've
tried
in
Europe.
It's
EASILY
the
best
restaurant
I've
tried
in
the
Phoenix
metropolitan
area.
But
wait,
there's
more!
I
had
a
problem
with
my
first
experience
there.
Mostly
my
own
misunderstanding,
and
not
something
they
needed
to
fix
whatsoever,
but
it
bothered
me
a
bit.
So
I
put
my
experience
in
my
email
survey
feedback.
The
owner
personally
messaged
me
back
within
an
hour
and
refunded
me.
And
I'm
not
a
big
name,
I
didn't
even
leave
a
review
at
that
time.
They're
just
lovely.
It's
a
family
owned
restaurant
where
you
get
Michelin
star
quality
food,
I
mean,
what
could
be
better?!
They're
really
tight
knit
there
and
I've
enjoyed
coming
in
and
getting
to
know
the
chefs
and
servers
and
very
passionate
bar
tender.
It's
just
an
amazing
place.
As
far
as
expense
goes,
honestly,
you
can
eat
there
for
similar
price
to
many
city
restaurants
if
you're
really
smart.
But
being
frugal
is
not
the
point
of
coming
here,
you
will
absolutely
want
to
try
a
variety
of
their
delicacies.
It
is
worth
the
price,
and
I,
a
frugal
reviewer,
very
rarely
say
as
much.
The
eating
experience
&
food
itself:
The
truffle
amberjack
is
one
of
my
favorite
dishes.
What
a
unique
but
mouth
watering
combo.
I
crave
it
every
time
I
think
about
it.
Their
eggplant
is
also
incredible,
seriously,
even
if
you
don't
like
eggplant,
try
it.
You
might
not
even
know
it's
eggplant!
Their
specials
are
incredible
and
change
up
based
on
what
fresh
ingredients
they
have.
They
specialize
in
raw
fish
so
be
aware
of
that
going
in,
though
they
have
plenty
of
other
options
as
well.
Most
things
on
their
menu
are
single
dishes,
with
low
or
no
sides,
so
you'll
end
up
ordering
a
lot
and
mostly
walking
away
with
little
vegetable
or
starch
in
your
stomach.
Not
that
that's
a
problem
-
again,
go
to
the
restaurant
to
experience
the
food
above
all
else.
It
is
an
*experince*.
Go,
do
yourself
a
favor,
book
now!
