I went a few weeks back for my mom's birthday and we had a great time! We went for an hour and a half horse back riding trip and it was so much fun! The people running all of it are so much fun and so lively! They truly are having a great time there! The trail itself was alittle dusty, but again your in a desert so it was expected. But such a great time to ride in the morning! I would definitely come back again!

My sister and I did a 90 minute private ride and it did not disappoint. It was fun to ride in a different environment. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the land and the native people. The bonus was walking through the herd of wild horses. We will definitely be back when we visit the Phoenix area again.

What an amazing experience. We had the greatest guide...Nate. He was funny and extremely knowledgeable. He went out of his way to ensure we saw the wild horses. They really do pick horses with the riders personality or at least my horse fit me. I suggest everyone take the opportunity to go to Koli and ride. I was afraid of horses before my visit and now I will ride again. I'm truly grateful for the experience.

My wife and I had an amazing time today, thank you! At first, we were having an "eh day" but as soon we got on the horses we forgot all about the problems. We had such a great time riding at sunset and the staff kept us laughing throughout the ride. We saw a lot of wildlife and our horses were so cool, Tom was the best. My wife has riden her whole life and today was my first ride. We had so much fun and we can't wait to come back ASAP! Thank you for all the great hospitality and the fun times today, we loved it. My daughter does the kids club here and loves it. Robert is her favorite trainer and he’s so patient and makes the kids laugh and enjoy the riding. The fact that it’s 90 minutes is great and that a trail ride is included is huge for me. I like the flexibility of booking to help with various events in our life. Our first experience was a birthday party and I would do it again here. I love that it’s out at the desert and so beautiful. Do come a minimum of 15 minutes early.

What an amazing experience to ride in the desert with the wild Mustangs. We were up close and personal for sure!The trail horses were nice to ride, well cared for, and not dead heads. Our guide, Blass, was friendly knowledgeable, and a pleasure to ride with. We will definitely come back!

My husband and I loved our time here! Robert was a fantastic, fun, and friendly guide. The horses were fun and being able to watch the sunrise was beautiful! For anyone with sensitivities like asthma, you might want to bring a mask as there was more dust than us amateurs anticipated :) No bags allowed, so keep that in mind!

Worth every minute!!! Tristan and crew were very friendly and professional. Booked a private ride to see the wild horses. Our rides, Heather and Billy, were calm but responsive. We found an amazing heard of horses to observe and explore. They surrounded us and were curious to interact. It was amazing watching the interactions and see the new foul. It was time well spent for a rare and priceless experience. Would book again in a heartbeat. No horse experience necessary.

I took my boyfriend here to go on a horse ride for a late birthday present. We had such a good time! We went to the margarita sunset ride. The ride was an hour long, and the horses were trained to respond to the reins and gentle taps from the heels, rather than just following the other horses. The employees were very entertaining and kind. At the end we all got margaritas and chips with salsa! It was definitely a good time and I want to go back for private lessons!

My brother and I did the 60 minute margarita sunset ride with Silvia, and it was perfect. She was very knowledgeable about the horses and passionate too. The horses were tame and easy to ride. The train was pretty smooth as well and perfect for beginners. After the ride, we had margaritas which were strong enough and a great ending. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful activity.

The family that operates this ranch works well with riders of all experience levels. The horses were great. We rode in a group, and they ride in a group (side by side) format, not tail to head, which makes it nice to ride as a family activity. The guides were all great. I would go again when in the area.

We booked a sunset ride that ended with margaritas, chips & salsa provided by staff. Our horseback experience met and exceeded our expectations. Staff were very friendly, as well as very competent with the horses and riders. They really went the extra mile to match riders up with appropriately tempered horses. This may seem like a small detail, but we had a number of first time riders in our group and Koli staff’s expertise made a genuine positive benefit for all new riders, they left exhilarated; wanting to ride more. No one left with fear of ever getting back in a saddle, and it was just such a positive experience. The drinks and snacks afterwards was a fun icebreaker and invited fun camaraderie with our riding group, no one was ready for the party to end! I will most definitely be back the nest time I visit wildhorse pass.

We had the best experience with the KOLI Equestrian Center, it was our favorite part of our trip to AZ! We rode as part of the "Mustangs and Massages" package thru the AjiSpa. Our trail ride was so much fun, our guide was outstanding, and our horses were well trained, well cared for, and beautiful. The 90 minute morning horseback ride was a perfect amount of time (though this momma was a little sore the next day - ha ha) and was leisurely, yet still exciting and fun. I would FOR SURE recommend this riding center and the guides for anyone looking to do a bit of horseback riding in the Phoenix area. I am already wanting to go back for the Margarita Sunset ride. :) Thanks for a wonderful experience!

We were just there on Thursday last week and it was absolutely perfect. The horses were well taken care of and the site was clean and in a beautiful area. Our guide, Robert, was very experienced, funny and helpful in offering guidance. He shared some of the history of the reservation and about Koli, which was a great addition to the tour. My horse stepped on a rattlesnake at some point, and he was quick at giving advice on how to react to the situation. My overall experience was awesome and I will definitely be back!

ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! I took my mom here for a 6:00AM private 90 minute tour on Saturday and it was just awesome. Our tour guide was THE BEST. So helpful and funny and taught myself and my mom a lot about the land we did not know. My horse was Bubba and my moms was rosey, beautiful funny horses ! It was such a great ride and the sunrise was so beautiful. We saw two rattlesnakes ! Our guide was so good at avoiding them and directing us with our horses to go around. The wild horses that roam were breath taking and curious. It was such a fun and exciting ride we can not wait to come back! I can’t say enough great things about this place ! The horses all look happy and healthy. They have restrooms on site and bring water for you and help you get up and off if need be! I booked an early sunrise ride with Sylvia and she was lovely. I haven't been on a horse in about 20 years and have never ridden Western before but Sylvia made me feel absolutely comfortable. Thank you Sylvia for a great memory!

Went on the sunset margarita ride, which was a fun break from my business trip. They have a free shuttle to pick you up from the Sheraton Grand nearby. In the shuttle to this place, we saw javelina. You ride around a flat desert area while it's still light, then arrive back at the stable to enjoy a margarita while watching the sunset. The chips and salsa they serve with the drink are just cheap chips and Pace salsa, but that's not the main point of it anyway. Friendly guides. Cute horses.

Marcus was a wonderful guide! I did the 2 hour ride and we got to see the herd of wild horses that roams on the 1,000 acres. My horse Aspen was a very easy ride and all the horses looked very healthy. They offer sunrise and sunset rides. Next time I'm in town I'm going to book one of those. A truly great experience to get out on horseback and see the land.

This was a great ride! We asked if we could add two more to our group at the last minute, and they worked with us to make it work! Horses are very well trained and nice. We had Robert as our wrangler/guide and he did a fantastic job! He was always making sure everyone was doing ok and kept our conversations going. Nice place!

The desert is flat and wide which makes such a beautiful sunrise for the morning ride. The horse I rode was Bucky and he was so easy to handle and very well behaved. Very affordable ride, if I lived locally, I'd come here all the time. Thanks for the fun time, Ben! 😃

KOLI Equestrian center is wonderful! I purchased the horsemanship 101 class for my eight-year-old son as a Christmas present. It was his first time on a horse alone, and although a bit nervous at first, he absolutely loved it. The wrangler, Tristan, was informative, patient, and tailored the class to my son’s level while also encouraging him to go outside of his comfort zone. The kiddo loved it so much now he wants to go back once a month and learn more about horses. The location is beautiful and serene. Everyone that I came in contact with was kind and helpful. The horses appear well taken care of too. Will definitely go back.

We hosted a small birthday party here for my daughter and they were fantastic! Amber was very easy to work with setting the party up. Roger, our host, was great with the kids, educational during our ride, and entertaining during games. One of the kids was a little afraid of the horses and everyone was very patient and encouraging! Overall a great experience!

Had so much fun on the sunset ride. Perfect little hour of nature. The guides are fabulous and the horses are sweet but all have personalities!

Let me say that this was nothing short of a wonderful experience. I’m a traveling nurse and I took my children here for a 6am ride. The trails were beautiful and the guide was knowledgeable and very personable. It’s a must do if in the area. Beautiful scenery and great pricing.

Second visit to Koli Ranch. I brought my three friends with me this time. The desert ride was enjoyed by all! Robert and James were terrific guides. The horses are clearly cared for and loved. This is a lovely walking ride that can be enjoyed by all. Very professionally run equine center. As a horse owner myself, I approve! Also wanted to mention, I was very pleased the staff refunded me the second visit discount even after I booked the reservation. Excellent customer service. Thank you!

Roger and Justino are great down-to-earth people. We had an amazing trail ride and good talks! Justino was our guide and gave us lots of information regarding the reservation and local wildlife.

My 2 boys have been riding here in the Kids Club for 2 years and it was the first place I thought of when my husband and I started looking for venues to get married. The staff was excellent and responsive during the planning process and the day-of, the ceremony and food (fry bread!) were just amazing. There were cowboy games for the kids and a very efficient and friendly bar! The ceremony was at sunset on the lawn behind the office and it was PERFECT! Sigh, wish I could do it again :)

Took my 7 year old for her first lesson and we both loved it! Sylvia was very knowledgeable and very good with my daughter. My daughter is very shy and Sylvia was able to connect with her. The experience helped my daughter with her confidence. I would highly recommend them. I was also pleased to know they have options for more advanced riders.

This equestrian center is well cared for and the animals are well kept and the childrens instructors were phenomenal with my 9yr old during her first experience with horses. She got to brush saddle bridle ride all the first time! Totally recommend this center. It is worth every penny (very reasonably priced) to watch my babies dream come true in such a peaceful atmosphere with people who know their stuff!

This place was great. We had the most unique and special trail/private ride imaginable where we got to see the wild horses and get up close enough to really observe them. I thought it sounded cool, but in reality it was far better than cool! Our guide was really personable, friendly, and generous with his stories. He was very knowledgeable about the area and clearly passionate about horsemanship. 10/10 highly recommend coming here! Thanks again Chuck and Ben for an amazing start to our day!

In the middle of nowhere..... But daughter had a great time at friends birthday party! Staff friendly and loved the horses!

My 10 year old daughter and I were visiting Arizona for a gymnastics meet this last weekend and while we were there we schedule to do a 90 minute horseback ride at Koli Equestrian Center. She had been so excited and looking forward to it for weeks. The rancher leading our group was really great and helpful and funny. We really liked him. About 5 minutes into the ride, my daughter began to have an allergic reaction to the horse and kept getting worse. After about 10 minutes, her face began to swell up with hives. The rancher had his assists take us back. We rushed back to our hotel for allergy medicine. It was a severe reaction, she was having trouble breathing and her face was swollen for over 24 hours and could hardly open her eyes, they were so swollen. We were so disappointed this happened as we were really excited for the experience. When I called back to ask about the option for a refund, the person on the phone said the best they could do was 50% refund, since they were not given 24 hours notice. While I understand the policy and appreciated any refund at all, I felt that the right thing to do would have been to give a full refund, given the medical emergency. I do thank them for the 50% refund and I do think if she hadn’t been allergic to horses, we would have loved every minute.

This facility was beautiful beyond measure. The staff were amazing and the entertainment options were many and fun. I was here for a company event, and the coordinators seemed to really have the process down. Every aspect of our evening was well-planned and memorable. The food was great too!

Well worth the time! My son and I had the opportunity to participate in a couple of different experiences at Koli Equestrian Center while out in Chandler, AZ. Our first was a guided, private 90 minute horse ride. Being novices, I was a little concerned before our ride. Our guide, Robert, did a wonderful job of putting us at ease. He was engaging, amusing and knowledgeable. We were lead to an area of the reservation where we encountered wild horses and watched as they interacted with their environment. Needless to say, the scenery was magnificent! The second was a Native American Indian Cultural Experience with a group of families for a school event. The afternoon started with a hay ride lead by Blass. That was followed by a horse ride, shorter than yesterday but just as enjoyable. We again had the good fortune of having Robert lead us. We had several in the group that had never ridden before. They did not seem like they had any problems keeping up or maybe it was more that the horses lead the way and their passengers were just along for the ride. Robert being Robert knew everyone’s name by the end of the ride. The banter was light and engaging. After the ride, we were lead back to the grassy area by the office that had been transformed into a picnic area. Chuck and his crew were cooking over an open fire. The sun was beginning to set over the mountains. We were entertained with games and beautiful Native American dances and songs. Chuck and everyone at Koli made this experience beyond anything we could have imagined. We can’t wait to go back! I’m not sure that calling Koli an Equestrian Center does what they have to offer justice! If there was a complaint, it would be that the signage was small and difficult to see from the road for a newcomer and that it was hard to drive out in the dark. However, I believe others would find that part of the magic. Next time we’ll have them pick us up and drop us off at the Sheraton(where the service is complementary.

I always love coming here to ride. We usually bring any visitors that come see us here. It's GORGEOUS. The pictures are perfect, and they are so sweet if you ask them to take some! Yesterday was incredibly foggy, but it was still an amazing experience and our guests LOVED it. They make you feel very comfortable getting on and off the horse, in addition to letting ride independently(no one holding the rope). They also don't make you ride in a straight line. When it's not foggy, you can see the mountains and it's the most perfect picture for your wall when your on a horse while the sun is peaking through the mountains!
