Jet Medical has been extremely helpful in this whole process. I would highly recommend the Extended Nutrition Program. It is invaluable to keep you on track once you begin this journey. The app that comes with the program to track food is amazing. It has a bar code scanner to help with this as well. The recipes and reminders have also been very helpful.

My only complaint is that I didn’t know about medical tourism sooner! As a nurse of 16 years and a 20 year veteran of weight loss wars (mostly losing battles) I was devastated to find out that my insurance offered no rider for weight loss surgery. I felt as if successful, long term weight loss was impossible without surgical intervention. I had lost and gained 100lbs TWICE. And then I overheard a coworkers friend talking about medical tourism in Mexico. I will admit my knee jerk reaction was NOT good. But then I started researching. After a month of careful research I decided medical tourism was the best option for me. I was shocked at how affordable the entire process was. For less than the out of pocket costs for co-pays and deductibles in the US and in literally a fraction of the wait time I could have the surgery that had been out of reach for so many years. Once I settled on medical tourism I began the process of researching surgeons and medical tourism companies as well as facilities and cost. Fairly quickly I chose Jet Medical Tourism, and I’ve never regretted that choice. There are a lot of companies out there offering discount surgeries and promising all kinds of perks. I looked past the sales techniques and stuck to the facts. I knew I wanted a highly experienced surgeon who specializes in the procedure (VSG) I wanted (Dr David Vazquez) I wanted a clean JCI accredited facility (Clinica San Juan) and I wanted the option of a companion to travel alongside me. I wanted a surgeon with low complication rates and someone who performs a leak lest while still in surgery and an independent leak test post-op. I wanted individualized care and I didn’t want to have a surgeon who does 6-8 surgeries s day! I’m a PERSON not part of an assembly line. I was one of TWO surgeries that day since the other person (my sleeve sister) was a revision patient and would take more time. I never felt like a number. My nurses were impressive! Most of them spoke excellent English Dr Nadia and Dr Vazquez came to visit often. In the US I would have had one day hospitalization for this surgery. I had 2 nights and three days of IV fluids, antibiotics and pain management in an inpatient setting. I had regular assessments and attentive care. I’ve never received more thorough competent care anywhere. Jet medical tourism as a company was easy to work with. They handled every detail so I could focus on my surgery and recovery. Liam and Kent answered all my 1 million nurse questions (at all hours of the night-sorry!) and were able to coordinate everything from my FMLA paperwork to my ground transportation. They even found me great flight deals and recommended places for my travel companion to eat) I never once felt unsafe in Tijuana. Our driver Rafael was a gentlemen. He was so helpful and hilarious. I had a great time in Tijuana even three days post op I was shopping and went to a casino in TJ. My travel companion raved about my experiences as well. Jet medical tourism put us up in a beautiful hotel with a full spa and it’s own casino. If you’re on the fence, do it! It was the best 4K I’ve ever spent! I’ve never thrown up, not once. The experience was 200% better then I had going to TJ for the sleeve in 2015. My husband and I went to Nuevo Laredo I had the mini Gastric Bypass and my husband had the Sleeve. The hospital was so clean and nice the staff was outstanding and I can not say enought about the Dr. The best and would recommend everyone go to N. Laredo for your procedure!

I had surgery on 8/9/19. I have to admit I was very nervous about doing this in Mexico but my insurance wouldn't cover it and the cost in the US would have been between $11,000-$15,000 for out-patient surgery! After researching a few options within the US and Mexico I decided to go with Jet Medical and from the start they were there to answer all my questions and give me all the reassurance I needed. They guided me through every step of the process and have continued to work with me post op on nutrition and checking up to see how I'm doing. The facility was very clean, the staff professional and knowledgeable, the driver was super helpful and the 5 star hotel we stayed at on the last day was real treat and nice final touch. Dr. Reyes was my surgeon, he and his team of doctors and nurses were very professional, reassuring and attentive to my needs. They explained everything in detail every step of the way and great attention was given to detail and making sure I was comfortable and felt safe and well cared for. I am 5 days post op and recovering very well with no complications. I met with my doctor back home yesterday and she even pointed out how in the US they don't do leak tests as part of the standard procedure whereas I had one done immediately following the surgery and then another on the last day before I was discharged. Visually it is very different from facilities in the US and it can be a little unnerving, I was very nervous the day of but Dr. Reyes and the on call doctor quickly set my mind at ease and walked me through every step. I have no regrets, in fact I believe that I received better, more detailed care by going this route. I would highly recommend this company for anyone struggling with coverage through their insurance. They are very knowledgeable and have a great process in place.

Everything went exactly as expected. Melody was great with helping me get every step of this journey setup and answered all of my questions in a timely and professional manner. (and believe me I had a lot of them) Dr. Vazquez did a great job and visited me before and after the surgery to make sure I was ok and had no other questions. The nurses at the San Juan hospital were very caring and helpful and I had no complications. I am only a week out of surgery but feel great and am back to work. I was a little hesitant going to Tijuana because you hear all these horror stories.Let me tell you this was the best decision I made. From the moment I was picked up by my Driver Rafael to going to hospital was a pleasant experience. I was welcomed by staff and had all my needs attended to and everything explained to me as the day progress. Dr. Reyes was such great doctor and his staff made me feel comfortable.I saw Dr. Reyes everyday I was there and he was very attentive.He has such a great staff from Elena , Sergio, and Juan Carlos and the rest will treat you well and comfort you if scared. I had gastric sleeve surgery on April 18th through jet medical tourism. Everyone was friendly and always answered my questions. The only problem I had with this company was that they are kind of hard to get ahold of. Liam though, he always replied fast. Anyway I would definitely recommend them . Rafael (the driver) got us back and forth pretty fast. He was also very nice to stop by the pharmacy and pick up my meds. My surgeon was dr. David Vazquez and dra. Nadia Gallegos. The surgery went great and nadia came to check on me every day that I was there and she also answers any post op questions I have. The surgery was done at clinica san Juan and my nurse was Teresa (tere) . She was awesome, so kind and loving. She even stayed overnight during my stay in the hospital. It was an Amazing Experience, starting with our Driver Rafael, picking us up at out hotel at 6:30 am and took us to the Clinic. Upon Arrival everyone was so friendly and helpful, They prepped us for surgery and the nurses and Dr came in to speak to use and asked if we had any questions. Dr. Vasquez is awesome as well as his supporting staff. Nurses took very good care of us before and after surgery. I highly recommend Dr Vasquez and Jet Medical Tourism. Hi.. I can not say enough about my trip to Mexico for the Sleeve Surgery. From my first initial call, to the end, I had a great trip. Catlin was my go to, and I drove her crazy with queations, if not for her easy going personality I would have not went. I traveled to Mexico alone from Georgia. My clinic was cleaNNN and my nurses Ms. Dorethia my favorite, and Ms.Theresa. My Dr. Was Beautiful, and polite. They even brushed and braided my hair. I felt like i was in a surgical spa. Haha I loved it. They do not speak english, only the Dr. My driver, and my taxi cab driver in Mexico even showed me around. The Hotel stay before home was Awsome, the bail boy got my pain.meds for me and some awsome broth. Theres a casino there in hotel, i won $14.00 Lol. Without Jet Medical it would have taken months to arrange the trip, coordinate with doctors, plan transportation and lodging. Instead it took only one call to Jet Medical to get the ball rolling. With them in charge, everything went like clockwork. We were picked up at the hotel by their driver and transported to the facility on the day of surgery without a hitch. The hospital was clean and Dr. Reyes and his staff were awesome. They were very competent and we felt that they actually cared about us, something you don't find very often in the states. The hotel they arrange for you is excellent and the restaurant Real on the main floor has some of the best food I've ordered in a hotel. My name is Bob I had my surgery on Sept.9 2019. It was the smartest decision I have ever made. The whole experience was great from the Coordinator, driver then the hospital was lot cleaner and even my wife liked it lol. The Doctors the help us al spoke English well and were very very nice they help me with everything, explained every thing as we went a long. Doctor Reyes was the best 3 weeks later still no pain and and I’ve lost 30 lbs but back to Doctor Reyes he explained everything he did and what I was going to expect to go through and he was right. I didn’t take any pain meds after I left the hospital and also visited sea world while I was there I had do something for my wife after all she is the one that held my hand though it. The only thing that was a small problem the nurses didn’t speak English but if you bring your phone and but translate on it problem solved I had and one of the nurses did too it helped a lot but was better when the Docs were around. The 5 star resort was great my wife loved the taco vendor out on the street I was still a little weak but it was great. Everything Caitlyn told would happen did the whole experience was well worth it I would definitely suggest this to anyone thinking about it. Stop And Do It really I’m serious it was everything I hoped for.......

Skeptical at first, but after seeing their clients success stories I reached out to them and scheduled my surgery. Staff was great and Dr. Hernandez was amazing! I especially liked the smaller hospital facility because it was so quiet, I was able to sleep! I’ve had no complications and it’s been exactly a month, today, since my procedure. I’m down 21 lbs and just wishing I had done it sooner.

Great experience overall. The coordinators are helpful. Everything is very upfront. You can chose your surgery date. I was very motivated and have been wanting gastric bypass for over 3 years, i had plenty of classes from my doctors but they never motivated me enough to loose 15 meesley pounds. Jet medical allowed me to make the choice of getting a surgery 3 weeks put from my initial contact and that motivated me enough to get to surgery weight. The drivers are professional and friendly. After thorough research of all different options to have the gastric sleeve surgery, I decided to go with Dr. Reyes and Jet Medical Tourism. I will be honest, I was very anxious, but those doubts and fears were quickly put to rest. The communication from Jet Medical was incredible from the minute I submitted a questionaire. Jet Medical made it super easy. They worked around our flight times, our travel needs, and arranged surgery accordingly. We were assigned a driver that would meet us at the airport and take us to and from the hospital. Our driver, Rafael, was so far superior and more dependable than I would have EVER expected. He was in contact with me days before my flight to San Diego. As SOON as our plane touched down, he called me to let me know that he was waiting on us. Literally, the plane door had not even opened yet. Rafael treated me with super respect and extraordinary care! The medical attention and service I received at INT hospital was everything I could have hoped for and more. My surgeon came to see me 5 times after surgery. His PA came by in addition. The nursing staff was super sweet and gentle. The surgery went great with no complications at all. The night before my departure, Rafael (our wonderful driver) called again to verify pick-up time. My surgeon came by to apologize that he would not be able to see me the morning I left because he would be in surgery, but he CALLED my driver the morning of discharge to make sure everything was okay. Rafael arrived at my hospital room door 15 minutes early to load up my luggage. And off we went back to the hospital. I am 8 days out of surgery and doing great. I would have NO hesitation with recommending Jet Medical and Dr. Reyes to anybody who was ready to change their life . . . to become a healthier you!

I have to be honest with this review. My experience was great! I never expected to be well taking care at their Florence hospital in Tijuana. Service is special and the nurse are friendly as they can be. I only lost a few pounds from my gastric sleeve procedure but I’m in a better health and more energetic. My weigh was160 lbs I’m only 5’2 and I felt like 2 person in one. The moment I was awake I felt sleepy which they let me sleep as much as my body could than I realized my body weight was immediately smaller do to the water retention I was having. I only lost 17lbs which is great because I was scared it will be to dramatically fast but no. My eating is good a little of getting used to cause 3 -4 bites and I’m fool, not going out to order food cause I’m not desperately hungry and my body just craves what I need. I totally recommend this clinic and the service it’s Outstanding!!! Not ever gonna go for other particulars doctors In Tijuana, so many horrible stories that this makes the experience easy and effective for someone who only visits on and off the area. Looking forward to to maybe a good mami make over later in the future. Don’t be afraid trust me, I won’t place a review if anyone can be in danger.

I had a great experience with this company. They were very easy to reach & discuss concerns with prior to surgery & continued to keep in touch even after surgery. When I arrived in San Diego, I spent the first night in a hotel. My driver was on time the next morning & drove me across the border with no issues. Once I got to the hospital, things moved pretty quickly, but everyone was very informative throughout the process. They were all very compassionate & made sure that I was completely comfortable & all of my questions were answered. Almost everyone spoke English & I used Google translate for those who didn't. The hotel I stayed in after surgery was super nice & very accommodating. They are accustomed to having bariatric patients, so they had different types of broth, popsicles, etc. on the menu. The driver that picked me up from there, brought me to the pharmacy & helped me to fill my prescriptions. He communicated with the staff & made sure I had everything I needed. Crossing back over the border was a bit longer than going in, but not too bad. I hear that some days can be worse than others. It's easiest if you cross with a passport. The hospital staff kept in contact with me, via text, after I returned home, to make sure that I didn't have any complications. The surgery went incredibly well & I've lost almost 40 lbs in 2 months. It is not a magic pill, however, so I highly recommend the ongoing nutritional support with Melody. She is keeping me on track with my diet & everything that I should be eating to get all of the calories & nutrients I need, and continue to loose weight until I hit my goal. Overall, best decision I ever made. Glad I didn't do this in the states.

Hi my name is Melissa. I have battled weight loss for most of my life. Like most of us we cant afford 11k for surgery so I was working with a limited budget ,I needed a facility that would be able to work with me. I reached out to Jet Medical Tourism after I did the pre intake for and was approved they assigned a caseworker Nina who absolutely the best. Very caring loving not pushy the good thing for me was that she was understanding and she let me ask my questions. And took 5he time to answer them if she didn't have the answer then she would get it. Once I had booked my surgery and had everything in place she didn't abandon me she was there afterwards and she still is .I am now 4 days post-op feeling fantastic! The care in the hospital was fantastic. Dr. Hernandez spent time explaining the procedure ,the nurse Jessica Edsel Dora I mean all of them we're just a blessing in disguise I'll be quite honest with you I got better care in Tijuana Mexico then I would have at home. so if you're looking for a good place to have surgery reach out to Jet Medical Tourism they're fantastic I hope get Nina as your caseworker cuz she is a doll I believe we have become friends. From the moment I spoke with Melody about having surgery, gastric sleeve, I was at total ease. She and Liam were both in touch with me. I flew in a day before and got stuck in a delayed flight with no others out that night to SD. My surgery was scheduled for 9am, however, the driver was at the airport to get me at my 11 am arrival and they still did my surgery at 3pm. They really went out of their way. I had 1 on 1 nursing care, Theresa. Let me say, I wanted to bring her home with me!!!! Great experience and will go back for more surgery next year!

I found my experience working with Jet Medical Tourism to be simple and very accommodating. They were with you all the way, ready to answer any questions and available at anytime. They were kind, caring and knowledge. Jet Medical made all the arrangements for the surgery including picking you up from the airport and taking you back to the airport. They also made hotel accommodations for after surgery. The staff at the Florence hospital were efficient and made me feel very comfortable. Dr. Vazquez did an amazing job and I have had a speedy recovery. All in all this has been a very positive experience that will be life changing.

I was skeptical at first since it is out of the country but their communication from the VERY beginning has been amazing and super helpful. My Surgery Coordinator was Karla and she is the absolute BEST! From the pick up in San Diego at the hotel (the driver Jonathan was super friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and professional) to the actual Hospital (Florence) it was seamless and a breeze. Dr. Vasquez was very friendly and he seemed like he genuinely cared. I have nothing but amazing things to say about Jet Medical Tourism and the way the hospital staff handled our care at the Hospital Florence in Tijuana. I am happy with my choice in care and RNY. 118 lbs down to maintaining at 135#. Yes it scary and there will be ups and downs. If you are flying in and out I highly suggest doing a 1st class ticket at least for trip home.

Had a gastric sleeve 2 months ago. Surgery recovery was surprisingly painless! I have had no complications, and have lost 35 pounds so far! The whole experience was great! I was very satisfied with using Jet Medical. Their drivers were very prompt and polite. When I arrived at the hospital, I was given plenty of first rate care and attention. All my questions were answered by the nurses and doctor, and I was very happy with the entire procedure. When I was unsure of what was going to happen, they were very good at anticipating my questions and answering them. My recovery was very quick and I experienced no complications. I would recommend this to anyone who is thinking about it, but cannot afford the procedure in the US. I went to the Neuvo Laredo location.

The facility and staff was good while we were there. My daughter had her surgery in August 2023. They over charged my card and when i reached out no one would take my call. When they did take my call they said it was a foreign charge from my bank. The next few days my bank charged the foreign fees, so that was a lie. They kept my money. A few months after my daughter surgery she started throwing up a lot even water. I emailed the Doctor and his assistant text me and said take her to the emergency room and send us her blood work results and then stated we are here for you. I sent them the information from the hospital and keep reaching out for help because no one wants to touch her because it was done in mexico. They have been ignoring my calls, texts and emails. I really hate we went there. Once they get your money, the patient care is gone. My daughter has been admitted in a hospital finally and has been there for a week now running all kinds of tests. Still to this day, no response and I texted them this morning.

I 100% recommend Jet Medical Tourism! I was assigned a patient coordinator, Karla, who was able to answer any questions for me before and after the procedure. I saw Dr Hernandez at Clinica San Juan, and she did a phenomenal job. The nurses took great care of me. Go with Jet! You'll get transportation to the hospital from the airport, two nights at the hospital, and a night at a very nice hotel nearby. Any worries about safety in Mexico and specifically when having major surgery are unnecessary!

I had a great experience with Jet Medical Tourism from beginning to end. The whole process of inquiry, scheduling, and surgery was made very simple and easy. All the staff along the way were very knowledgeable able and courteous. It was nice to be picked up from the airport and transported directly to the facility for surgery. The ride from the airport was very short. Once at facility things moved quickly and efficiently. I was given tests and everything to make sure I was ready for surgery. The staff didn’t all speak English but made every effort to make sure I understood what was going on and translated for me. Once surgery was done I was taken to a private room and have nursing staff around the clock checking on me and giving me my medications. My room was even cleaned twice per day. I had a wonderful experience and felt we’ll taken care of. Discharge day was just as easy as admit day and so was transportation. Thanks for taking such great care of me Jet Medical Tourism. I’ll be back with pictures and updates as my results progress.

After struggling with weight my whole life and trying to get the surgery in the state, I found jet medical. They made things easy, quick, and simple. The staff at Florence was great, Karla made me feel safe and helped me through the whole experience. I had no complications, and can barely see my incision that are almost healed. Everything from start to finish was a great experience. Stephanie from JetMed helped set everything up and was very nice! Richie and the nurses at the hospital were all amazing. Dr. Eduardo was great, too — I never felt nervous or that my care was not his top priority. The anesthesiologist was so sweet! I did not pass a single staff member that didn’t greet me with a smile and by name; some I had never even met! 10/10 would recommend anyone!

I had an amazing experience with Jet medical tourism. At first, I was nervous about going out of the country to have bariatric sleeve surgery, but the moment I arrived at the Florence hospital in Tijuana Mexico, and went through triage, my fears were put to bed. The staff were very professional, and very courteous. The facility was very clean up-to-date and modern. I had surgery that morning. I was giving my own room to recover. The first few days were a little uncomfortable, which is to be expected after such a procedure. I had around the clock care to make sure I was OK. After the two days I spent in the hospital I was transferred to a hotel, which was very nice and felt like a mini vacation where I was able to relax in peace. The whole ordeal felt like a mini vacation. I was very pleased how everything turned out. I have absolutely no complaints. It was completely effortless without any complications. I would definitely recommend jet medical to anyone who is looking to have any of their many services performed that they offer.

The best decision ever! The staff was amazing from the drivers to the nurses, doctors, techs, and orderlies. They were kind and reassuring. They were attentive to my companion who didn’t speak the language, they helped him ordering food from the cafeteria, the night staff ordered dinner for him from their apps. They answered all my questions and were just super sweet people. I would never have imagined such great service. If you’re on the fence do it! This company was great.

Jet Medical Tourism I had a great experience. I flew in, driver took me across border to hospital and I had blood work done then got surgery. The next day I was given x-ray for a leak test to make sure I was fine. For the 2 days of recovery I had 24 hr nurses taking care of me and they did a great job. I was given a ride back to the airport and I'm now 5 days from surgery and everything is going well. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone

This team was incredible, I was so nervous at the beginning but this team was excellent from the very beginning to the end, from the administrators to the medical team. Best decision of my life!!!!

My surgeon was great. My complaint is the way my daughter was treated. She was my companion on this trip, I was assured she was welcome and that accommodations would be made for her. There is a bench in the room to sleep on however after several attempts to get a blanket and pillow we ended up taking my blanket off my bed and a travel pillow I brought from home. They wouldn't bring an extra towel for her to shower either. Three days, no bedding, no towel. If companions are not welcome say so.

I had gastric bypass surgery on 9/23/19. Kaitlyn was absolutely amazing. All the staff was. I had do many questions and they answered every single one. I was nervous about going to Mexico alone, but with how questions were answered I was soon put at ease. My experience in San Diego started out horrible. I reserved a hotel shortly after my flight landed, got an uber and was dropped off. No one was in the office. I ended up walking 3.6 miles back to the airport to sleep on the floor. When I was picked up it almost immediately changed the situation. My driver was so polite and kind, he put me in a better mood so quickly. My nurses were amazing. They are so attentive and caring. Being a CNA, I can actually say they are better than some of the nurses I've encountered in the states. Needless to say, I'm 6 weeks post op today. Im so thankful to everyone involved for my tool!

I was just they are so professional everyone was very kind. One flat rate you pay them the take care of the rest the do leak test which kept me calm to see thru cat scan that everything was ok in there they send u to 5 star hotel which is beautiful and when u prder room service its on the room u dont have to pay they have u covered for the day which i thought it was great. They should definitely open up instagram and work because these people are the real deal

I had my surgery on January 7th 2020. Dr. Reyes and his staff were phenomenal! The nurses were attentive and even though there was a language barrier they did everything to understand and meet my needs. The only regret I have is not having the surgery done sooner. I am currently 3 months post surgery and I have lost 60 pounds with no complications. My story is such a success story that my cousin is planning her trip to Jet medical for her surgery!!! I would also like to acknowledge my driver Liam he was informative, kind, and I felt safe transporting with him!

I had a great experience going through Jet Medical. Dr. Reyes was wonderful as was the hospital and staff. Jet Medical is great at setting everything up, the only issue I have is they can be difficult to get in contact with. I would definitely recommend them .
