My first time Axe throwing. It was an experience. I attended with a party of 8, only 1 had thrown an axe before. So we were all newbies. Jess was our host and she was amazing! Informative. Fun! Outgoing! The games made the experience. Without them it would have dragged. They should incorporate more games for sure. One thing, that could be helpful, when booking a reservation, have the staff explain they will have a host, in detail about set up, ect…. Only one person in my party had cash and Jess deserved Atleast a 20% tip. So I felt bad. I understand it’s optional but most people will tip their Axe Master. Jess was great!!!!!!

The place was very clean and organize for the big group we had as well as how busy it was. Axe master Ashleigh took the time to walk us through the process of throwing an axe, half my party group were first timer. We all had a great time and Overall the experience was amazing! We look forward to coming back!!

What fun.... And the ladies killed it... I thought an hour was not going to be enough time when we booked this but come to find out..... One hour is all you need. We had a blast and our Axe Master Jess was the BEST...

We had our company Christmas party at the Toms River location and it was perfect! We brought our own food and drinks and spent 2 hours ax throwing. Everyone had a great time. It was the perfect atmosphere! Morgin was a great ax master and very helpful!

I had such a great time! It was our first time doing this, but won’t be our last. Mark was an amazing axe master. He is a funny guy and he made learning to throw easy and fun. Bonus shout out to Drew who gave us tips and tricks even though he was off the clock and practicing for his league. Can’t wait to go back! Only suggestion - it’s pretty warm in there. Dress in layers!!

Went for my sister-in-law's birthday and had a blast! Ax masters all were nice, ours was Morgin. She was very nice, instructive, and very fun. I like there are games for your group if you choose, loved Blackjack the most. Jukebox was a nice touch to get some good songs on. Place was clean, I would see employees wiping down areas. Safety is very important here, they be sure to let you know what is and is not ok what to do without being rude. I also like that they gave tips on throwing. Staff is very supportive too. Can't wait to come again! May try glow throw

I have been to the bury the hatchet a many times now. One of the best experiences I have had was with Axe Master Ashleigh. From the first time I went and had her to when I brought friends for the first time, she always explained the safe rules and how to throw very well. With the few times I went and did not have her, the experience was not as enjoyable. When I go back again, I will only ever want Axe Master Ashleigh for my party. She always knows how to make it fun and mostly importantly keep it safe. I live in Middletown, but will drive out to the Toms River Bury the Hatchet just to have her.

The four of us had a great time Friday attending the glow throw event. Lots of laughs and enjoyed all the game options. Great outing for a winter evening. We will definitely be back again!

Unfortunately we went there with a party of 22 after reserving a prefix menu previously. We were assigned one waiter who had other tables. Drinks took forever and even as they arrived they were incomplete. After a while of waiting we received unfortunate news that they were not prepared to serve us the prefix menu. They went on to bring us appetizers, as nachos, tacos. Food was salty and drinks were weak. Not happy at all. The check was 2,000 plus and the only good thing we got was the chocolate and ice cream piñata birthday cake. That is all. Would not take anyone there. Except to take pictures maybe. The place does have nice ambiance.

Had a blast the other night! Our axe master Monica was awesome I am 78 years old and she was very patient but fun. The best customer service and well mannered person I have come across in a while. Will definitely be coming back again and I will request Monica.

I love this place. Our axe master Marty was fantastic! Even though he said he was fairly new we think he did an amazing job. He made it fun and was so so kind! He even let us choose the music because we were the only ones here and was totally vibing with us. We will definitely be back soon!

I went here to celebrate my birthday with some friends and loved it. Ashleigh was a great axe master! I loved her energy and she really took the time to show everyone what to do while cheering everyone on in the process. I also loved that we had a private lane and the games that we were able to play with the axe throwing. We had so much fun!

We had a great girls night and Ben was extremely helpful! We really enjoyed learning the tricks. Thank you!

An amazing experience! We brought in 6 14-16 year-olds and Monica handled the troops and adults with a fun and flare!! We will definitely be back!!

Most fun we've had in a long time! MONICA was AMAZING!!!! She was super attentive, took her time showing us all different kinds of games and weapons. We will definitely be back for sure!!!

Ryan was a good trainer. He is very serious about his job and taught us all the rules. My girlfriend and I were scared at first cause we have never thrown axes before but he had patience with us, which was sweet. He also has a great smile, I think it adds a really good touch to the business.

This was my first ever time hatchet throwing and it was a blast! Our axe master Ashleigh was super fun and down to earth (if you can, request her. You won’t regret it). One of my friends even ended up hitting the killshot! (It’s a Bury The Hatchet thing. Only cool people get it!) If you’re looking for a fun place to go with your favorite people, this is definitely it!

Fantastic! You can’t say ANYTHING bad about this place. Monica and crew are absolutely amazing! She specifically made our night as enjoyable as possible. We had so much fun throwing everything she pulled from behind the counter. This place is addicting!

Monica helped us out so much, this was my first time axe throwing and I definitely recommend this place!! There's a bunch of fun games to play alongside it. The 2nd time around Jess was the one helping us out and it was so much fun. Made my Grandpas birthday :)

We had a great time. Jazmin was a terrific teacher - with lots of patience…showing me all different ways I could throw the axe when I kept missing at first. She stayed with us the entire time encouraging us and offering advice.

We had fun! We had never been Ax throwing but I would definitely do it again. You can BYOB and food and they have refrigerators to keep your beverages ice cold. By the end of the two hour we were actually hitting the bulls eye and playing battleship! I recommend Bury the Hatchet and it would be really amazing if you go with a large group!

Marc have us lessons on how to throw the ax. We all had a great time. We can’t wait to do it again. Make sure you ask for Marc.

First time throwing axes. Was pleased to know that an Axe trainer was with our group the entire 2 hours. He was informative, fun and kept the game organized and moving smoothly. We learned the proper technique and after practicing, the trainer suggested a game of "battleship" to vs the group sharing our lane. It was good fun competition and we would return again! Food and drink was allowed and was a good fun 2 hours of doing something different.

I had a fun time playing skeeball with hatchets and tomahawks! I'd like to come back with a group of people and walk to have a sushi lunch beforehand at the place across the way and maybe bring some Sapporo.
