As a newer hobbyist I was fortunate enough to visit Orlando on vacation a couple of years ago and not far away was Top Shelf Aquatics. I had never dealt with them prior to that visit but was blown away by their shop, employees, selection of equipment, fish, corals, tanks and everything related. I was even able to purchase a piece of equipment that they had in stock that was not available elsewhere. The store was busy but one of the employees made it feel as if we were the only customers by taking time to answer all of my newbie questions and helping me with coral selections. Since that visit, I have participated in their live sales online and today I’d say 75% of my coral is from TSA. They are my go to source for coral. Everything has always arrived pest free and as advertised. I wish I was close enough to call them my LFS!

Nice corals, but good lord they are EXPENSIVE

Just had a system installed by TSA. Could not be happier with the purchase and installation process. Alex designed a custom system for me and took lots of time to answer all my questions and explain his choices. The install team was amazing. They had incredible attention to detail and they did not leave until the system was set up and running perfectly. The wiring job was top notch. The tank looks beautiful.

I have spent thousands with Top shelf they are my go to company for corals . When you are buying high end pieces you want to make sure who you are buying from . There shipping is spot on corals always arrive healthy . Pricing is good and most importantly if you have any questions or have any issues they are there to help . If you never have bought from them I would say you are definitely missing out on one of the best coral stores out there !! Give them a try you will not be disappointed

Not very helpful, seemed bothered by people skiing questions... more interested in walking around checking to make sure customers masks completely covered their noses. Bottom shelf customer service. Hopefully others besides those there that day had better experiences.

I've been coming here since they first opened!! The owners Alex and Kevin are always a pleasure to work with and their staff is extremely helpful! Love the new aquarium showroom, the whole revamp of the store looks amazing! They have a wide selection of LPS/SPS corals and fish! Loved the 75g set up they did for me and would recommend to everyone!!

Drove to Orlando from St Pete to visit Top Shelf after seeing them all over YouTube and following them for a while. I ordered a couple frags online and picked them up (and ended up buying more frags in person lol). The shop is DOPE. Also their frag prices, for the most part, are significantly better than anyone in the industry. Usually that means the quality would be lower, but to be honest it's the exact opposite. They had some of the nicest frags I've seen anywhere... pieces that would cost literally double anywhere else. Staff was very helpful and friendly and packaged my corals for the long drive home. Thanks guys!

We live in Alaska, where it is very difficult to get coral and fish. We started in the hobby a few years ago, and the folks at TSA made it possible for us to have a beautiful reef tank. They have been extremely helpful in answering our questions and giving advice. Their communication is excellent! Shipping to Alaska can be difficult due to long transits and extreme temperatures, but we have always received well packaged corals with plenty of heat packs in insulated boxes. Every single coral has arrived warm and healthy. TSA is outstanding and is our “go-to” place for beautiful and healthy coral.

They have a very surprising selection of dry goods/ equipment from Neptune Systems, Ecotech, Red Sea, etc. A great selection of corals and fish. Good prices and very helpful knowledge staff. Great reef store!!

First time buyer via online, I have never been to actual store. I ordered about a week ago a shipment of some very nice zoas and a beautiful piece of Lemon Lime Favia, shipment came in in a sturdy box very well labeled, after opening the box I found a print out of each frag with a color picture, description, recommended light and flow for each individual piece, there was also a color print out with acclimation tips and very clear instructions to follow for DOA, acclimation, dipping and coral placement, next I found a Styrofoam cooler with cooling pack under the lid and a big bag, once I open the big bag, found each frag was double bagged and each frag was placed in a small cup holding the frag to prevent damage during shipment. About 24 hours later after placing frags on my tank with very dim lights all the polyps were fully open looking very healthy, they all matched the picture (WYSIWYG). The colors of the lemon favia.....out of this world. 5-6 days later all frags are doing great all polyps still fully open and extended, very soon they will be on their spot on reef so they can grow into a colony. Very good experience with this company, top quality from website to packing and delivery. Very high quality aquaculture corals. will order some more soon. Thank you TSA!!

Edit: I now own a saltwater tank. Staff helped me every step of the way. By resisting the urge to do it my own way in following the advice of the staff my tank has been so far successful. Seeing definite growth in my corals. All the staff here is fantastic. Shawn specifically is the one that helped me with this tank from beginning to end. If you want real helpful advice by someone who won't oversell you something that he knows you won't be able to handle you should definitely go talk to him. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Love the selection of corals here. Staff seems pretty knowledgeable. I don't own a saltwater tank but I sure do want one every time I come to browse. When it is time to finally get one, this is where I'll be going

Went to top shelf aquatics for a new nano tank, couldn’t have been more pleased with the way they handled things and made sure I was getting something I would be happy with. Tomas was such a huge help. He even knew to check the light mount to make sure it reached the center of my new aquarium. Will definitely be using these guys again in the future! 10/10

Randomly stopped in here to check it out. I have been researching corals and saltwater fish and I am an absolute beginner with keeping fish. Tomas H helped me and was so nice - he talked to me about what I needed to get started. As I walked around all the employees asked if I needed any help. It was a great experience. Beautiful, clean, tanks as well. All healthy looking fish. I will be back when I’m ready to get started 🐠

Don't bother going anywhere else. Staff is the most knowledgeable, the prices are the best, and the corals look the best by a mile. Not to mention the fantastic customer service. I will seriously not go anywhere else after trying out all the stores in the Orlando area several times, one year into the hobby now. Top Shelf is #1 hands down

Recently visited Orlando for a family vacation. I found a tang I had to have. I asked them if they could bag it for our flight home. They double bagged the fish and added plenty of water and oxygen. Got a lot of chuckles and requests for supervisors going through TSA. After a couple swabs and a visual check we were on our way home with a beautiful new fish. He acclimated nicely and is doing great! Top Shelf is Top Notch in my opinion!

Just received my frags in the mail -- all are beautiful, healthy, and extremely colorful. Even the mystery monti frag I bought at a discount is superb and sizable (about 1" in diameter, on sale for $15!) Shipping was fast and the packaging was done with care (temperature controlled foam with warmer packs, well protected and sealed). Got my frags next day. Excellent products at great prices. Will definitely be buying all of my frags from TSA going forward.

Great packaging but very little help with questions about coral care. I reached out to them several times to ask what type of lights they had on my coral order and never heard back even with their chat bot. Seems like they also grew corals under just blue lighting to enhance the look but once in your tank they burn pretty quick even when placed at the bottom of the tank. Only place I have purchased from where this happens...buyer beware!

My experience at Top shelf Aquatics is always above expectations. The professional and experienced is second to none. Bought my coral during the winter sale. Fun time hour by hour trying to get on a deal or for a free coral but wasn’t fast enough. Got some good pieces for good prices. First time buying and definitely will get in on the next sale. Very fast shipping.

The packaging was exceptional, corals were very protected in doubled bags and cups holding the corals in place. Each bag was labeled clearly. I have been shopping at this location since they have started. The store and inventory are kept sanitized and healthy. The staff is more than willing to help and are knowledgeable. I have been through a few different tanks and always have done my shopping here no matter how far I have moved from the store. Any time I have had an issue, the managers have always done right by me and took care of me. I recommend this place if you are into this hobby.

Excellent shipping, contact and communication, as well as product quality. I picked up some coral, macroalgae and crabs all of which shipped promptly and are doing great. Specimens are bright in color but also quickly adapt to your home conditions. Top Shelf Aquatics have been great to work with. We live in Utah so sometimes we have problems with cold weather and shipping. *Review based on website service* Just received my order of two ricordea mushrooms, they arrived intact and as pictured (WYSIWYG). Phone service when placing my order was also good, even though they were busy at the time they still answered my questions. After a CoralRX dip the only hitchhikers I found were some copepods (RIP) and some detritus. The package came nicely protected, the corals were double bagged full of water, then the two bags were also bagged inside another bag (if they burst all the water would have still been there). Package was also insulated styrofoam and included a disposable heating pad. Will most likely make another purchase from this store since their online selection seems pretty varied, I couldn't find many ricordeas elsewhere. Only complain is I watched the lady from FedEx throw the box at my door, but that's a FedEx thing.

First time visiting everything was nice so far

We ordered an awesome looking bi-color hammer frag that was not only larger than I thought but the shipping was the best I've seen so far. From FL to WI and it looks perfect. The coral opened up right away and looks very clean and healthy.. We would highly recommend Top Shelf Aquatics to anyone & everyone.

First time customer and all I can say is they wowed me. All 10 corals arrived within a one day time frame from Florida to podunk Idaho. The Corals were packed double bagged, with a separate outer bag. Inside each bag they used a plastic cup to support the coral and minimize and damage to the coral and the bag. The bag water tested pristine. Acclimation instructions are provided, but could be improved. After fast drip acclimation. Initial eye only inspection showed the corals were in great shape. Working through the initial dipping process and using a 10x ocular, revealed a very clean plug and coral with the exception of some hair algae and one bubble algae. I did find one very, very tiny bristle worm, but no "bad" pest and 0 eggs under magnification. After the second dip, and further inspection again, nothing. My final peroxide dip removed the algae. All corals softies, lps and sps are in the quarantine tank and doing very well, all are open under T5s and AIs and looking quite well. Very nice work guys...keep it up!!!!

The selection here is great and spans various price points and selections. The staff is ALWAYS friendly and eager to help. Clean, well kept, and clearly priced. Highly, highly recommend if you're in the area. I've been back (it's almost a 2 hour drive for me) and spent WAY more than I planned on (not even sorry).

The staff is super knowledgeable. I have been in the store over the last couple years (which is super clean and has great selection) but I just had a really great experience talking on the phone to Leo from online department about coral Quarantine and the steps they take to ensure no pests on their corals. He even gave me great tips on how to quarantine corals myself at home. Overall Top Shelf Aquatics has given me such a great experience each time I’ve gone in and I can’t thank them enough for all the help they’ve given me over the years

Extremely clean and tidy store-- from dry goods to fish and corals. Staff is friendly and attentive, without applying sales pressure. I have bought $100, $200, and $300 fish there, and all acclimated well. Probably my favorite place to shop.
