First off, I'm from NYC, never rode a horse. Don't think I've ever been as close to a horse as I was here either. But none of that mattered. The horses are all really well trained, they are very calm and relaxed. We were given a quick rundown on how to control the horse which was fairly simple. To give you some perspective, there was a 7 year old that got their own horse. The trail ride itself was beautiful. I don't want to ruin your experience so I'll just leave it at that. The ranch also has some very friendly and personable goats that you can pet very easily, especially if you have food (grass). In all, a very nice place and a great location for a true sense of horseback riding in nature.

Great place to experience horseback riding. It was quite a drive to get there was it was worthy. My children and my 70 years old mother had a blast. They were extremely patient explaining the do's & how's of riding a horse, especially since we were all first time riders. They provide you with different size helmets and spray sanitizer. They lady in the reception is great, very welcoming and efficient. Trust me, at first I was a bit hesitant to bring my kids and mom, but the horses in the ranch are very mellow and well trained. We did not have the opportunity to meet the owner, but the young man helping us out was fantastic. The tiny downside was that, the road we took for a ride, was full of bushes and muddy terrain. I'd wished it had been a more open place with a better view, but hey, we still enjoyed it and had a wonderful memory. Something to keep in mind is that, due to the covid pandemic, the restroom facilities were closed during our visit, I guess you gotta make sure to take care of business before going.

Soooo yeah. I went here and took the hour horse back riding tour with Garrett the guide and it was such a great experience! I hadn’t been since I was in Idaho last year and it was so great to get back on the saddle. I got to ride Trigger and hear about all the horses and the baby horse Chip whom I got to meet. The Ranch was full of employees who just loved the animals, which is so refreshing. They even let me trot a little bit. I think they should have classes for more experienced riders where you can trot the whole time(they say it’s a liability but pshhh i would take the class/tour!) thanks circle B ranch, I’ll be back soon! 😎

I'm very dissapointed with the conditions of this place. I left before even going on the trail. I have worked with horses for 9 years, these horses are not cared for properly. Their hooves are unkempt and overgrown and are in desperate need of a fariers attention. I saw an open gash on a horses leg that was covered in flies. The horse was clearly in distress and the wound should be wrapped. I saw another horse with a very paulful looking sore behind his elbow due to friction from the girth rubbing against his skin so much. The horses are left with all of their riding gear on in the open sun for the ENTIRE day (was confirmed by a worker) with no breaks. All of the horses are in a pen with no gates to stop them from leaving. If not they are tied to the fence with no access to water or grass for extended periods of time. I arrived early and they were running late so I had a good amount of time to observe the place. I'm sure the place means well and gives good trail rides but from what I saw the horses health and comfort is not taken into consideration. Go at your own discression but please consider the horses and their lack of care before going.

Came here and had a lovely time. It's was quiet and very scenic. The trail has a few steep areas and the horses handle them like a pro. We saw some beaver dams and some wild life along the way. Went around 11am. It's nice to go a bit earlier before the sun starts beating down. Had a great time.

We visited Circle B Ranch this past week and it was wonderful. We enjoyed the sleigh ride, hot chocolate and making s'mores. Our guide, Thomas was great. The horses are absolutely gorgeous. They had other farm animals on the property that was nice to see. The cost was not bad. Thank you Circle B Ranch for a wonderful time!

Such a great experience! As a traveler customer service is a biggie for me and this place delivered! The young lady on the phone was beyond helpful with assisting me making reservations. She was very easy going and understanding. The horses were beautiful especially Dundy ! The ranch is well kept and even the porta potty was extremely clean. Thank you for the great service and amazing experience. We will be returning soon

This ranch is a hidden Adirondack gem! The amazing ranch hands went out of their way to make the experience our group had a memorable one. I wish we were local being my four year old daughter is begging to go back! Many thanks to all the kind folks at Circle B Ranch for a great experience.

Had a great! It was my husband's first time on a horse. The weather was beautiful and the ride was really about 2 and a 1/2 hrs. No skimping! The guide was very good. My horses name was Jake, and my husband's horse was his best bud Charlie. My husband was very very saddle sore the next day, I told him, that's why cowboys were bow legged! I would recommend Circle B to anyone interested in a nice trail ride.

The ranch is gorgeous, very beautiful property, staff is friendly for the most part. Lots of gorgeous horses of various sizes and abilities. In hindsight, early booking would have been better. I was disappointed at how tired the horses were and how muddy and treacherous the trail was to navigate for them . Halfway through the hour tour through the property I felt awful for making my horse walk, and honestly just wanted to get off and let him rest and relax. I do understand that domestic horses are a custom to work and such, but this was a little overboard for me......horses were stepping in mud up to their knees, slipping on rocks buried underneath the mud....all that aside it was quite thrilling to be on top of such a majestic creature and of course the views were amazing.....it's why we all go upstate,to enjoy the scenery and fresh air πŸ₯°

This was such a nice place. Most importantly, from what we could tell, the horses were well taken care of and healthy. Since my daughter was an experienced rider, she ended up riding the biggest horse on the farm, which she was thrilled about. He required a bit more coaxing than my horse, which she was fine with. I could have let go of the reins on my horse he was so sweet and gentle. The trail went through the woods by some beaver dams and wetland areas with a small view of a mountain. It was very peaceful. The trail guide was great and very nice! I would definitely recommend Circle B. We had a lot of fun!

Had such a good time on our 2 hour ride. It was definitely worth the extra money because even when we finished it did not seem long enough! The trails were beautiful and so peaceful. Our guide was very good at giving us tips and making sure we were safe. I had 2 nervous people with me and they ended up having a great time! If we are in the area we will definitely go back!

I love Circle B! I started coming here when I was 8 (I'm 31 now) every summer until I was 16. I've been back every time I head to the Adirondacks but it's been years since I last came here. Circle B has been a wonderful part of my childhood and allowed me to continue loving horses my entire life. I hadn't been for a few years and a lot has been updated! They have a nice step for getting on the horses. The trail is really well maintained and we picked an afternoon time to ride so that it would just be my sister and myself. I got to ride a large Belgian Draft named Daniels (his partner Jack pulls the sleigh with him) and my sister rode Bud, another draft cross. They were really sweet horses and had very sweet temperaments. Our guide was Anthony and he was a delight to have. He was so knowledgeable and we shared some history of the place and learned a lot about the years I hadn't been able to visit. We had a wonderful time and I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to ride horses.

We had a wonderful horse and carriage ride. Our driver was great, telling my grandchildren how to get the horse to go faster and slow down. The barn was decorated with a warm, cozy hot chocolate bar. Kids got to see some animals and see a real old barn. Sat around a fire pit and made s’mores. Staff was really friendly and responsive. Great experience. Will definitely do it again.

We are so lucky we stumbled across Circle B ranch on our Memorial Day weekend vacation! The kids wanted to try horseback riding and we had a great time on our 1 hour beaver dam adventure! My 7 year old daughter was a bit scared once she got on the horse but the staff at Circle B did their magic and made her comfortable on the horse with their kindness and patience. We are so grateful! We also loved meeting the donkeys on site and exploring the ranch. A special thanks to our horses Star, Summer, Silver and Belle! 😊🐎🐴

Horrible riding experience!!! This place does not care about their horses or the riders!!! We had a reservation at 4:00 pm. The ride started at 4:45. No one from the staff said anything about what was going on during the delay. No bathroom in the place and no way to buy water bottle. It was a group of 8 people with 1 guide. I was the last rider with a horse that I was told was lazy. The horse was struggling most of the ride, tripped seriously couple of times and refused to move at times. She was either overworked, old or sick. The guide had no idea what was going on because he was way ahead. The people in the back did not hear anything the guide was saying.

My family and I went hear one day on vacation and out trail ride was wonderful. The owner Malcolm and our guide Jeanette were super informative and very friendly as was every other staff member that we interacted with. We did have to wait a little while before hitting the trail because someone had called in but we were okay with that. It gave us some time to pet the horses, learn their names and feed the goats! The trail ride itself brought us through fields and woods with one small bridge crossing. It is all just walking, no trotting or galloping occurs. That is what we expected going in though. Most riders in our group were new to riding horses.

My husband and I went on a 2-hour ride with tour guide, Garret. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful to us as I had never even been on a horse before and my husband had not been on one in over 20 years. It was an absolutely amazing experience. I cannot express how happy we were. We highly recommend Circle B Ranch. They do offer 1-hour rides as well but personally we thoroughly enjoyed the 2-hour ride. It was so wonderful the time flew by. Thank you so much to everyone at Circle B Ranch!!
