From start to finish, we enjoyed our one hour personable ride! The wranglers are very personable and informative. They know what they are doing and enjoy sharing their passion for horses. They know the horses well. I enjoyed learning about the plants and animals in the area too. Thanks to both wranglers and the care they took to explain things from safety, to personality of the horses and how to handle them well, as well at the end taking pictures so we could remember the event! Highly recommend! I hope to do it again sometime 😊🐎

I had an amazing time riding this morning! Abbie, Tracy, and Jose are all wonderful guides! The horses are very well-mannered and walk as if they know the trail by heart. The real treat is Tracy’s horse jokes! 😂

My husband and I went horseback riding to celebrate part of our staycation here in Central Florida. We had a WONDERFUL time. This was my first time riding a horse and I was a bit nervous but the guides (Tracey, Kasey, & Parker) were excellent and my horse (Cornbread) was so sweet and gentle. My husband and I loved every moment, and the 1 hour tour flew by very fast. We could see the horses are treated very well, and they seemed very happy and relaxed the entire time. My husband had Gigi, who was also very gentle and both our horses basically walked themselves along the trail. We will definitely be back for the 2 hour guided tour next time! Thank you to our awesome & knowledgeable guides and beautiful sweet horses.

Went on a horseback ride this weekend with Tracey and Jon and had a wonderful time! They were great guides/hosts. The horses were beautiful and we felt very safe the entire time. We got plenty of instruction before getting on the horses and along the way. The ride was so much fun. Thank you for a great time!

Driving in to Lake Louisa State Park you can already tell it will be a beautiful experience. We camped for 3 nights and went for the Segway tour through the nature trails, (so fun) a slow horseback ride through the woods, and I would also rent a kayak if the weather was warmer. They say the alligators there have a healthy fear of people so they shy away from humans, staff was very nice. There is a maze of trails, several miles and a number system to follow. Some trails are in the sun, and at least a beautiful nature trail by Lake Louisa had all shade. There is a beach area and playground by Lake Louisa as well. Also there are several other lakes, and a dock/ pier at the ones by the campground. I took some beautiful sunset pics by Dixie Lake. Overall the park is very well taken care of. Some of the campsites have quite a bit of sun and a few shady, most have decent privacy. Some traffic noise. We were not allowed to use our phones for pictures while riding the horses so the guide took some pics that I am still waiting for. I may have to remind them of that. If you go I would suggest to give them your own phone to take a pic of you on the horse as they stopped for pictures at the end. It will definitely not be the last time we visit this amazing park, it’s one of our top favorites!

Candace and Abby was awesome…. Looking forward for my next trip, this time for 2 hours, it was my first time and I can’t wait to go again. The park is beautiful very calm, soothing the whole experience was great 😊 you have to try it. 🐎 poncho was delightful to say the least he listen and kept me smiling on the whole trip and was a great companion for that hour. If you never try Horse back riding you must give it a try @Lake Luisa state park they make you feel at ease. And the experience is unforgettable thank you 😊

My husband and I went horseback riding at Lake Louisa yesterday morning for our anniversary and were not disappointed. Our guides, Emma and John, were super friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout the whole experience. Our horses, Penny and Gigi, were l very sweet and no trouble at all for inexperienced riders. All-in-all the whole experience was smooth and the price felt fair. We are definitely planning to come back again in the near future for the two hour long trail ride!

We had a blast on our horseback riding tour. Our guides were very professional, friendly and safety oriented. They also have horses with perfect calm temper for beginners. Great experience.

My daughter had a horse riding lesson while we were vacationing in Orlando and she had a fantastic time. John, the instructor, was so kind, informative and patient with her. The location was beautiful and serene, and the horses were very gentle. Overall, a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend!

The horseback riding was such a nice outing and a wonderful change to the normal things we do here in Central Florida. And to top things off, the weather was perfect. The employees were friendly and knowledgeable. My group loved it! Highly recommended. 🌟🌟🌟

What a lovely area!! These horseback trails are very beautiful with lots of nature all around! Riding the horses was a very relaxing experience and they were overall very fun to ride. We even saw a few deer!! Would absolutely recommend, as it was a great experience that we would love to do again, and would love to do their lessons and/or private sessions!

Surprised my Husband with a Horseback Trail Ride, lasted about an hour and half. Was $155.94 after taxes. Additionally you do have to still pay for Lake Louisa Park entry was $5. But all in all we truly enjoyed yourself! We will definitely be back with the kids.

A great outing with my 8 year old granddaugjter. She loves horses and our guides,Parker and John were terrific and patient answering ALL of her many questions. The horses were calm and provided a nice leisurely ride through the fields and woods since we had very little experience. The guides prepared us for our ride so there were no surprises and were also very knowledgeable of plants and wildlife during our ride. We will definitely do this again and recommend this as a great family outing and easy introduction to horses riding.

Lake Louisa is an excellent location for beautiful hills and wildlife. The cabins are spacious, well-equipped, and have beautiful views. I would have liked to see access from the porch to the backyard and from the backyard straight down to the water or even nearby water access (for fishing). The bathrooms at the beach are permanently closed, and the swimming is not for the faint of heart. There are plenty of picnic tables, barbecue grills, and trash cans. The segway tour was nice, and I bet the horseback riding would have been too (out of my budget). We roller-skated, but biking would have been amazing too.

Amazing experience!! Overall service was pleasant. We went horseback riding and our guides were knowledgeable and made us laugh. They make sure we were safe and had main knowledge so the whole experience went smoothly. I will definitely come back!

I had John as a Horseback lesson guide this afternoon and he was amazing! He made me feel very comfortable and was a great teacher and very knowledgeable about horses. This was my first time riding a horse in a while and it was very fun. John made the experience very enjoyable. I will definitely be returning for more lessons.

We did the seaway guided tour with Tracey one day, it was fab, really knowledgeable and accommodating guide. We booked in for the 2 hour guided horse trekking the following day and it didn't disappoint. Jon & Parker were brilliant, really down to earth and chatty as well as being informative about the park itself. A great end to our holiday thank you all for two amazing experiences.

We did the horseback riding guided tour with John and Tracey. They were patient and took the time to be sure that we not only bonded with the horses but we felt safe. We thoroughly enjoyed the trail ride. We learned about the history, unique plants, and the horses were amazing! Thank you both for making the trail ride so special and even the birthday tunes!

I absolutely love bringing the family here. There's always something for everyone. My personal favorite are the horses and camping, but was amazed to find hiking and kayak tours as well! The horses are gorgeous and well taken care of. We will definitely be visiting many times in the future!

It’s amazing how many activities and tours this place has!!! Check out the horse back riding tours, the kayak tours, and even the hike tours!!! Take the day to go fishing on several of the piers, or even rent a kayak, canoe, bike, and paddle boards! This place has the best customer service and will definitely be my favorite place to spend the day!

Amazing experience for my family. My daughter always wanted to ride a horse. With no experience riding a horse we booked a ride at Lake Louisa State Park. I cannot express how nice the staff were to us. We had a age range from 10yo to 55yo and they were accommodating to everyone. They made us feel comfortable and when my sister was anxious about her horse they went the extra mile and switch her horse just to make her feel better. They are attentive, kind and clear with the instructions and safety talk. I’m really happy about all the experience. Plus they take care of the horses and don’t exploit them, the horses look healthy and are really friendly. I extremely recommend this place. Keep in mind that the trail is a slow walk in the woods.

I cannot tell you how disappointed I am with the horseback riding company’s running late policy and “inability” (aka choice) to make exceptions for circumstances beyond our control- especially considering the cost of this experience and availability of competition in the area. AND they will not offer you a refund. It’s my anniversary with my husband, this was a surprise gift so I wasn’t privy to any info prior- only that the ride started at 1. We had to coordinate with family to get a babysitter for our 1 year old the day after Christmas. We arrived between 12:45-12:50 and were told we’d have to reschedule. I attempted to reason with “Mandi”, explaining our unique situation, but she refused to make any exceptions for a 1pm ride bc we had missed the safety talk. Being an experienced rider, I imagine this could’ve been accomplished in a very short amount of time- especially as there were still approx 4 people in front of us that still needed to mount their horses which they were doing 1 at a time. They didn’t appear to be short staffed. I admit we should’ve been there at 12:30, but when factoring in the number of extenuating circumstances and the unique nature of this being a surprise gift to me and therefore wasn’t privy to all the necessary info, I feel strongly that this company should’ve been able, or chosen to be able, to make an exception for myself and my husband on our anniversary. Take it from us, if you’re not 30 minutes early, you’re “late.” They will not make any exceptions no matter your situation. This just isn’t a company I would ever want to do future business with. Buyer beware.

I went for a hike here a few weeks ago and absolutely loved it! My only critique is that I wish there was a way to book horseback riding tours online rather than having to call. But the park really is beautiful!

We went on the guided trail and had such a good time! It was our first time riding, and the guides made us feel so comfortable. Definitely worth the visit :-)

This was my first time ever on a horse and Jon and Emma were absolutely amazing! You can tell they know everything there is to know about horses, having fun with them as well as staying safe! They made my experience unforgettable with all I learned as well as the laughs we all shared! If you’re debating…DO IT! Thank you Jon and Penny, you were truly professionals 🫶🏽

Having a guided Trail ride is an awesome experience. It is sooo informative and absolutely beautiful out there. You really feel prepared even if you have no experience with horses. I also can't wait to try an guided kayak tour.

This is one of my all-time favorite state parks! With tons of hiking trails, kayak rentals, and guided horse trails (my favorite!), there’s so much to do with the family! Plus, the staff their is super friendly. I’d highly recommend a day trip here!

This was the first time I had ridden at Lake Louisa. The stables are located toward the rear of the park and easy to find. Abbie and Candace ensured we all had our waivers completed - of course we didn’t!! However, it’s easy to complete them online when you’re there. We were shown a brief riding demonstration and safety video and then matched with our horses. Being 5’8” and a little on the heavier side, I was given their largest horse. A beauty named Gigi. Very mild mannered and friendly horse. Our hour ride was around the various trails close to the stables. The instructors were knowledgable about the flora and fauna of the area, which was very interesting. The guided ride is ‘nose -to-tail’ riding and only at a walk. If you want something more advanced, ie trotting/cantering they do lessons. We plan to do this next. It was a beautiful day and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute.

My wife and I along with our Grandson had a great time. Arden and Abbey were the Best Guides you could ever hope for. We all have very little horseback riding experience but our guides match us up with horses that are very calm and easygoing. We felt safe and in good hands with Arden and Abbey because they gave us a demonstration of how to Mount and dismount safely and they took the time to answer any of our questions and concerns. They recommended we arrive half hour early for orientation. We will definitely be returning again and we highly recommend this to be your go to place for riding.

My 2 kids and I went on a trail and we had a blast even if the ponies were a bit upset about some bugs. We all have ridding experience so we understand why the horses acted up. Other than that you could tell they were well behaved and good horses. We would totally go again!!!

We had a great time, Misty was leading us with her horse and I just happened to be riding behind her. I was nervous in the beginning, but they informed me how good horses behaved. All I can say is they know their horses very well, also very informative on sights along the trail. We had a great time with great company 😃

What an enjoyable experience! Booked the hour long trail ride for my daughter’s birthday and was not disappointed. I can’t say enough about the patient knowledgeable staff. They really took their time and did a great job of assuaging the concerns of my pre-teen riders (and their nervous as a wreck middle-aged dad!) The horses themselves were mild mannered and beautiful beasts. Totally recommend this for locals or tourist

I enjoyed the guided tour. I went twice and it was peaceful for the most part. Tracey & Jon are very nice and the horses are taken care of and treated well. I hope in the future they will have different offers for experienced and professional riders such as myself. This is a walk only tour but the park is so vast and there’s so much to see. I hope they’ll make it so you can just rent a horse and explore for yourself, that would be awesome. It would’ve been great to trot. All in all it was a nice experience.
