With a super wide variety of animals and displays, this place will not disappoint you! And a massive wave πŸ‘‹ πŸ‘‹ to the young lady at the Carrousel! She is definitely the best person I've ever seen doing that job!

Drove an hour, didn't see much. A lot of construction going on. I chose to go here for my birthday to take my 1 year old somewhere. What a let down!

This zoo was absolutely amazing! My mom and I got there when they opened and stayed until they closed. Everyone was so nice and made us feel welcomed. The animals were amazing! The only thing we didn't get to see was the penguins, but they were off exhibit for the season. My favorite was the elephants! The polar bear and grizzly bears were awesome too! There wasn't anything that we didn't like! The food was great as well! The zoo wasn't crowded which made it easy to get through and actually get to see the animals. We are from Nashville, TN but we will definitely go back here.

What a great place for families to come and visit the animals. The staff is friendly and the place is clean even inside the exhibits for the animals. My only concern is if the enclosures are big enough for some of the animals like the lion and tigers.

Always a good time. Even in winter, the animals were happy and many were out (nicer day still). All concessions were closed, but restaurants still open. My kids love it and it's a nice walk around the park

Had a great time there. Best part was Petting and feeding the goats . I would go again and recommend to others . The gorilla room was one of the coolest things I saw probably my favorite super super cool .

This nice and accessible place is not that big, you can visit it in 3-4 hours and there is Coca Cola flavored ice.

Louisville Zoo is a great place to learn and personally see some of the different animals we have in our planet. Kids can learn the animals' role in the ecosystem and in the chain of life as well as have fun with the different kids' activities they offer. My son loved to see the animals and he got so excited to learn about them. They also offer shows in different schedules and special events like during the Halloween where my son enjoyed trick or treating at the same time got the glimpse to see the different animals like the Giraffe, flamingos, etc. Don't worry about strollers and wheelchairs as this is an accessible area. They also have some places to eat and get some snacks, burgers and fries within the Zoo. They also offer a train ride. They have shops to buy souvenirs and if you are a Penny Souvenir Collector, they have machines that can turn your pennies into Elongated Souvenir Pennies. They also have camel ride and other fun activities. Such a great place for families to bond and for kids to learn! Greatly recommended!

This zoo is alright. Every time I’ve gone it’s seemed to of been under construction and really busy!! If you have a member pass you get to park for free which is nice. I find this zoo a little difficult to get around if you have toddlers, especially trying to push a stroller through the buildings and then I’d have to get them out so that they could see what was in the exhibits. Otherwise it’s a really clean zoo and probably best for kids a little older!!

My mother and daughter had fun that’s the most important part. Equally as important is the fact that the zoo takes in injured animals that would not be able to survive in there natural habitats. I don’t ever have fun at zoos it’s not my idea of good time but all the children seemed to really love looking at all the animals.

All Zoo's have animals but some zoo's set themselves apart by variety and the layout/landscaping. That's exactly what the Louisville Zoo does. The layout and contour/landscaping of the Louisville zoo is just about perfect. Also another really great thing about the zoo in Louisville is it's big enough to truly be educational for children and still fun for adults but not so big that it's more of a chore to explore it than the fun it brings. Always love stopping here and seeing what new additions to the zoo have been made or what's changed in the layout. My hats off the to citizens of Louisville, KY for taking pride in their city and zoo. Can't wait for another lazy day in the sun seeing nature there.

Wonderful experience! Spoilers ahead! You will get to see a Rhinoceros and Elephants pretty close! And don't even get me started on the Seals and the Polar Bear! Yes!! The Polar Bear! But the amount of animals in the zoo is big and varied so you will have great fun! There are a lot of No Ropes too! All the staff is super nice! And while the are some exhibits closed because of covid it still a great place to visit! You can buy your tickets online! And just enjoy your day at the Zoo!!!
