Great sales team. Called to make sure we got the right piece for are couch. Delivery guys very friendly and great attitude even tho it was hot out.

Capt. Ed's is truly a local treasure. We purchased a new bridal suite couch from them and a week later; it arrived. They kept us updated on time of arrival and they even offered to loan us a couch if it didn't arrive in time. They are a true ambassador of exceptional customer service. Also, special shout out to Amanda. She's the bomb!

I got a sectional here, which has had a couple of issues where it's already making squeaky noises, but that is not particularly their fault, but the manufacturer. Regardless of that, the delivery drivers and people in the store are very nice. However, Tina upset me today and was a bit rude about it, when I went back again to purchase a table, and she did not honor a price offered by another employee. And it was only a $20 difference. I actually had plans to buy a other things from here as well and would have been back the following week, but now I will be taking my business elsewhere. Hope that $20 was worth a customer who would have been loyal. Edit: this sectional is horrible and I regret buying it. It is making so much noise whenever you barely move. Lowered my score to 1 star.

My husband and I love this place! We got our sectional from here last year and last week got our bedroom set picked out and delivered the same day by the friendliest delivery guys! We’ll definitely be back for our next dining room set

They tried to sell me a couch that wouldn’t fit and didn’t bother to tell me this until I already put over $100 dollars on it that wasn’t refundable. All their couches were way to expensive and they even talked to each other bout us being “too poor” to afford their stuff. I ended up settling in a coffee table. We got the table and I kid you not there is so many issues with it and how it was made. And the best part I can’t return it. It’s a cheap piece of furniture that isn’t worth the headache. The staff wasn’t very nice to us, and would follow us around no matter where we went. Felt almost pressured to buy something. I use to come here as a kid and it’s changed a lot since. I won’t be returning for anything any time soon.

This place is awesome! We have made many purchases here throughout the years. The candy Island is very difficult to simply pass by...yum. The staff is very helpful, nice, and knowledgeable. Great quality furniture, and a fun place to visit! Keep up the great work!

The most scariest place I've ever care to visit again. There are mannequins and pirates hanging around everywhere throughout the whole store. It's kind of creepy. I must say he has a great deal of nice furniture.

Great place for furniture! They also have vintage records and candy. The staff is great to work with, super helpful, and give you discounts the more furniture you buy. Did I mention free arcade games? They have that too at Captain Ed's. The place is visually stunning, filled with all types of nostalgia.

Its not just a furniture store, it's an experience! One that will have you laughing and pointing saying look at that! Captain Ed's packed full nostalgic displays of all sorts, and all manner of wonderful and creepy things suspended from the ceiling like skeletons riding bikes and scooters! You'll find pirates and wild gorillas to look at too. Not to mention a HUGE island of candy with everything from fancy chocolate confections to gummies of all kinds to pop rocks! Too much to list, you really have to see it in person. They are also loaded with furniture, some very original stuff. That's really the main business, but they immerse you in a fun experience, and did I mention all that candy?! Great place, A++

This is fun well staffed store. Everybody is knowledgeable and very easy to talk to. A family owned and operated business has something for everyone. Even a huge candy counter for the kids.

Absolutely LOVE this store! We bought a kitchen table and chairs that we had previously looked at, but wanted to make sure it was right for our space. (New home) The staff is beyond fantastic. Very helpful and very personable, we were able to get delivery THE NEXT DAY! Every other furniture store we considered were at least 5 days out! There was a $79 delivery fee to Laporte, but for the service and set-up, it was worth it! I HIGHLY recommend looking here first for your furniture needs. Trust me, we were all over looking and kept coming back to Captain Ed's for the 1st class service and prices. Some $$ cheaper and some $$ comparable) We had the daughter and son of the owner ( sorry, I forgot their names!), and they were both wonderful!! Can't say enough good things! Bonus: they have a small re -sale area where my H found some Bose surround sound speakers for a great price!

Prices are high a little bit for used records But it's a business and I understand have to pay the bills But should be able to get discount if you buy multiple albums which I always do when I Stop to buy records

A few months ago I bought beds and mattresses for the kids room. The first night their beds came THEY WENT TO BED EARLY. The delivery was timely and the Delivery guys were super friendly and very respectful of the property. To top off my experience I didn't break the bank AND I got a boatload (literally) of the "World's Best Candy" from Albanese Candy Factory. They have a huge display of it in the front of the store as soon as you walk in. I could go on but I won't. Go and experience it for yourself, you won't regret it.

Delivery guys were careful bringing the new couch in, setting it up and placing it where I wanted it. Very happy with the whole experience and would recommend.
