Once again, Hostas on the Bluff has made my heart happy. Beautiful gardens where you can easily identify plants that strike your fancy, get ideas on companion planting, and take in a stunning view of St. Louis. The owners and staff are down to earth, hard working, kind, and knowledgeable. They have worked wonders on terrain most people wouldn’t touch. So happy with my new babies, and supporting a local business.

Wow just wow!! Amazing place. If you want specific sizes and varieties this place is great. Good prices too- i would pay the same for a hosta at a big box store. I was only sad i missed out on a few varieties i wanted-but looking forward to their next Memorial Day sale !!

I've driven by this place so many times without realizing what it was. A great hidden gem of a nursery. You have to call to make a viewing appointment, or wait for one of their seasonal open houses. A phenomenal selection of hosta varieties are available to view on grounds in their gardens, most clearly labeled. The young teenage employees are not very helpful, but they are friendly and know who to go to for answers and to help clients. The older gardeners are very knowledgeable and even know the genetic history and similarities between varieties. They were able to answer any questions I had, including ploidy on slow growing hostas, what thrives where, etc. Great shopping experience with very healthy plants. I'll be coming back regularly!

OMGoodness! I ordered 3 hostas and after I did I was regretting it as I thought they'd get cooked in this awful heat. They arrived at the post office Tuesday and got here today, Thursday, 7/27/23, at 5 p.m. I dreaded opening the package but they were in beautiful shape! I will be ordering from you again!

On a gorgeous Wednesday morning in late August we made an appointment to visit the incredible Hostas on the Bluff Garden in Illinois just outside Fairview Heights. Be sure to call for an appointment. The garden is beautiful with the most incredible array of Hostas to view and to purchase. You can find varieties of Hosta here that simply aren’t available anywhere else. Such a beautiful garden center and so friendly and helpful.

My hosta that I ordered online arrived and it is beautiful, healthy, and well packaged. I even had to call for planting instructions and they were very friendly and helpful. I am very pleased with my purchase and this seller. I will definitely be purchasing more from them.

Turn the corner and you will be completely blown away by the absolute beauty of this place. I had zero idea there was such a large variety of hostas. You arrive and are given a list of plants and prices that is very long, it's impressive (and also very pricey-- but it is a specialty shop). The views and beauty are AMAZING.

People were really nice and a good church

Has nice variety of hosta. You are given a list of what's available to buy when you arrive. Walked the path and found one that wasn't on the list. When asked about and they went the nursery and found it. Which I thought was cool. This place well worth the visit FYI it is by appointment

This place is REALLY beautiful. Great shade plants, great prices, and amazing owners. You get to walk the grounds and pick out your favorite hostas. (See my photos.) Drive from the other side of St.Louis to come here. You won’t be disappointed.
