4/4/22 — We were there for dinner . We were celebrating hubby’s birthday . It was four of us . Plenty of Parking . We were there for 4:30pm. We were second group in on a Monday . I was surprise they were open on Monday . Restaurant decor is very nice . We were greeted promptly . My husband has been to this restaurant before . It was my first time . My husband had for his favorite waiter . Mackenzie was very helpful and profesional . She was very good at explaining the specials . My husband fish , I had parm chicken my stepson had chicken Marsala and our friend some type of salads which he said was excellent . We had appetizers: pizza was excellent and fried cheese as well. Their wild rice was perfect . My husband asked for Red Wine and it was very good . I am Not a fan of red wines . This one was very soft and easy going 😊.

Omg this was our 1st time and it serenely isn't our last. Ashley was our waitress and she was great! Very attentive. We were seated right away, we had 5pm reservations. Bread, oil and drinks were brought to is very quickly. The margherita pizza was amazing. Light and crispy, the red sauce was so good. I could have eaten it with a spoon. My husband ordered the chicken parmigiana and I ordered the eggplant parmigiana. Generous portions, we both took some home. We also ordered the chocolate layer cake and pizzelles, both were very good.

Food was great! If you eat here and can appreciate the meal it's an excellent choice 👌 but you tend to leave hungry. This is not necessarily a bad thing. Prime example of Quality over Quantity! I ended up having the Veal Marsala it was fork tender cook did an amazing job on the dish.

Food and Service is Amazing. I had chicken parm and it was an average size. My wife had Rigatoni Bolognese and it was excellent. Our server at the bar was tremendous. My only problem is the price of their drinks. Grey goose martini $16 I had a test tube glass of kettle and tonic $12 Then we ordered 2 black Sanbucca and they were BARELY A SHOT EACH @ $12 EACH. IN MY OPINION THE DRINKS WERE WAY OVERPRICED.

Love this place. Its consistent with the quality and delicious food preparation. The service is fantastic too.

If half stars were available would have been 3.5. Pro’s: bar seating reservations and diverse menu. Con’s: drink prices are high ($15 and $13 for martini and grey goose/cran respectively. Insult to injury was the $1.50 up charge for stuffed olives for the martini which made the total cost $16.50 OUCH - this is not NYC). Service was lacking. Had to remind three times for bread, server never came back after dinner served. No offer for refreshing cocktails. We had chicken parm and carbonara. Both were just ok. Whole experience made better by sitting at the bar with a diner who happened to be in the restaurant business. Super nice couple who helped us wrap up the experience by gifting us a spumoni dessert! Since this place was so highly recommended, may try again with table service.

It is a very nice restaurant and the food is amazing. The staff is very kind and attentive. We would definitely go again.

Service and food was over the top very good authentic Italian food with service that was very genuine.

very bad experience. waited for a while for a table and was placed at a very awkward table in the middle of the dinning room directly near the restrooms. The service was horrible. Couldn’t even tell you our waiter’s name because of his nonexistent presence at my table. Appetizer and meals were served cold, didn’t even bother asking for another because we were dying to leave. Not returning.

Friendly service

Nice Italian restaurant, one of the best in Providence. I had the burrata appetizer, veal and ravioli dish, and a tiramisu and everything was delicious. The server was nice. The part of the restaurant with the rug is cozier, closer to the bar. Try to sit there. Highly recommended.

The co reviewer and I stopped by for a last minute dinner as we were in the area. The restaurant was very clean and comfortable. In our area of the restaurant the chair backs are at an odd angle? Her Makers Mark manhattan was well made and the service was good. I thought the smoked mozzarella was a tasty appetizer, the co reviewer not so much. Our 2 chicken dinners were both good and were served hot.

Honestly can never go wrong at Cafe Itre, they’ve been around for almost 30 years and one night here will show you exactly why! The food, the service and the atmosphere is unmatched anywhere else in the state, my go-to for authentic fresh Italian.. Best Calamari I’ve ever had and don’t think I’ll ever worry about having a bad experience.

Great food! Great bartenders! Had smelts, so good! Pizza was delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant. You won't be disappointed.

Great atmosphere, dimmed lights and partitions so you feel private. Chicken Parmesan was great, good crunch! Pasta was al dente and we were all happy with what we got. Our server was great too!

if you want to pay $22 for gnocchi in the most oil filled pink sauce to ever exist? this is your place. ate 10 pieces of pasta before i got a severe migraine from how greasy the sauce was. can’t comprehend how when the dish itself costs $22. as an italian, this was an insult.

Had a great dinner experience here last weekend. Was able to get a Saturday reservation, was seated promptly and offered drinks and the list of specials. The martini selection is GREAT! So many options, can't wait to come back to try others. The food was also delicious. My entire party was very satisfied with their meals and drinks. The manager made sure to stop by and check on everything. I can't wait to go back and try more!

Our first time here. We've been meaning to try it forever. WHY DID WE WAIT SO LONG??! Everything was delicious. We started with a Caesar salad and the Farmers Special (canellini beans over grilled focaccia). Dinner was the fusilli pasta dish and the breaded veal chops in a mushroom demi glaze. The veal was the best veal fish I've ever had. Hands down. Finished with crème brulee and focaccia cake for dessert. We will be back many times.

Our first time here, and it was wonderful! We were fortunate to have a table for 2 near the bar, by the patio. Our server was very knowledgeable and attentive. The pasta dishes are excellent. We will definitely return soon.

Long-standing Rhode Island eatery… Outside courtyard very inviting… Prices are a little on the high side… Service is adequate .... Food is to die for!

Great food great service very laid back place i felt like i was home i had the steak it was great stuffed mushrooms really good my wife had scallops she said 3 thumbs up way up.

Food was simply delicious! Great portion too. I had the penne pink vodka with grilled chicken added.

This place was perfect in every way. I came here on a Saturday evening (6pm), we must have just beat the rush as they say as right away but it got crowded after. Not only was all the food delicious but the service was excellent as well. I HIGHLY recommend that you get the lemon torte, it was simply amazing.

Went for my b day. My wife, son, daughter in law, and daughter and her boyfriend. Apps were excellent, food was delicious and well presented. Service I give a b grade, was a little slack but ok. Only 4 star cause appetizers and dinners were luke warm. Otherwise very enjoyable.

Very busy, waitress very slow. I ordered a pear martini had a kick. O ordered and not another drink took a he to get it. When the waitress came to the table I said forget it.

Waited two hours, while everyone else in the place was seated. Hostess brought over a grilled pizza to make up for it. If I wanted pizza I would have gone to Pizza Hut.👎👎

I had a great meal at Cafe Itri on Thursday . I had the 14 oz strip steak and it was cooked and seasoned to perfection . After dinner I had dessert and coffee . I left the restaurant completely satisfied . My server was Michelle , who was fantastic ! She made sure that my dining experience was not just a meal . She paid great attention to every detail , and made it a pleasurable experience . I’ll tell everyone I know about Cafe Itri and Michelle !

Love it here

First time here and we loved it. It was intimate, cozy, and comfortable. The food was absolutely amazing and our waitress (Alicia I think) was fun, attentive, and really friendly. I can't wait to go back again!! (Get a dish with pasta on it - worth breaking your diet for!).
