Really great place. Doesn't seem that large from the outside but there is so much to see here. Tons of information. We mostly did a self-guided tour but stopped to listen to a few guides talking. They did a great job! The exhibits all are very well done. A huge thank you to those that have served!

Top notch museum displaying the history, stories, medals and artifacts in connection with the US Medals of Honor recipients. We spent nearly 2 hours taking it all in.

Kals Group was genuinely honored to join forces with the National Medal of Honor Museum. The museum team's dedication to orchestrating a successful inaugural Wine & War event was truly commendable. They had an unwavering commitment to creating an exceptional evening, not only for distinguished figures like Medal of Honor recipient Col. Ralph Puckett Jr. but also for State Gov. Bill Lee. The National Medal of Honor Museum is a valuable asset to the city of Chattanooga. We deeply appreciate their relentless efforts in preserving the legacy of our courageous veterans and we look forward to seeing their continued growth in Chattanooga.

This is a very interesting place. I personally loved it. They explain and show many heroes and what they did to obtain a Medal of Honor. I learned things I didn’t know. Is worth going to this. Don’t miss it they also said they change some of the areas every now and then so going again will be worth it.

This was amazing. I surprised my husband on our trip here. He wasnt really sure about it but he ended up loving and he is a big history buff. And this was perfect to see actual medals that were given. So awesome must see.

Spent 9/11/21 at this very inspirational and so well done. For the life of me, we couldn't figure out why the place wasn't packed. We really enjoyed the special speaker Chris Spence, retired Master Sgt, part of the original special forces team that were 1st into Afghanistan 1 month after 9/11

This place is a wonder place to visit if your are in the area. It is not only informative for adult learners but also a good place to bring children to visit. With interactive exhibits and short video vignettes this place will entertain the senses for hours to come. Located right next-door to the aquarium it is easy to access with lots of parking. Overall great experience and would definitely visit again when they get the astronaut exhibit open.

I was aware of the Medal of Honor but did not know the history behind it. This Museum is full of wonderful information not only about the medal but also highlights some of the men and woman who have received them by telling their stories. There are also interface locations where you can look up those you know to have received this distinction. Visit if you ever have the chance!

This is a really great way to learn about the people who are truly brave, selfless, and love our country and countrymen. Learn about our Republic and who has been awarded this prestigious award.

This is an excellent museum highlighting many periods of our US history during which soldiers exhibited valor and courage and were then awarded the Medal of Honor for their service. The exhibits and films were excellent. The volunteer who guided us through was very professional and knowledgeable. The facility is large and well laid out. This is also very educational for children.

Why aren't more people talking about this Chattanooga treasure? It is a must-see for EVERYONE. Did you know Chattanooga is the birthplace of the Medal of Honor?! This should be on the top of the list of things to do in Chattanooga. Moving and inspiring. All the workers were so passionate about sharing the stories of these incredible men and WOMAN . THIRTEEN STARS!!!

I absolutely loved the museum and the tour. The staff were very nice, and the historian, Steven Thomas, was incredibly knowledgeable, and dynamic; making the incredible human stories come alive for everyone listening. I can't wait to go back. One visit isn't enough... And I purchased a brick to honor my grandfather who served in the Army.

The staff here was super friendly and helpful. The setup of the museum was very nice. What a great tribute to Tennessee’s heroes. Bonus: There’s a coffee shop in the lobby.

I hadn't heard of the National Medal of Honor Heritage Museum until I saw an ad for it at our hotel. We decided to go before left Chattanooga. The museum is very well organized, and the exhibits are very well done. It's definitely worth visiting if you're in the area.

I'm sorry, but for such a serious, laudable subject I would expect more effort than this. I got better value for my time and money at the International Towing and Recovery museum which 110% effort for a silly subject. This place gave about the same amount of energy as someone just looking to capitalize on minimum effort. At one point I was walking in circles looking for an annex or a stairwell to another level because I couldnt believe this was all there was and I paid a LOT less for the towing museum! As a vet, I am ashamed you did not do better.

Such a great little museum. Amazing staff.. lovely lady on the front desk.. guys upstairs very knowledgeable My only feed back is I'd like to have seen a bullet from each gun displayed along with the guns.. as us Brits have zero knowledge on 9mm vs 40 cal etc

Small but nice museum. I learned a lot about the early recipients and that Tennessee had a lot of recipients as well. Friendly staff and it also has a small gift shop. They also have a nice display on Desmond Doss as well.

Incredible and inspiring, many wonderful displays and stories with artifacts about Medal of Honor recipients with ties to Tennessee. Bought an annual membership, saving a little money on 5 family members under the adult admission; 15% off in the gift shop with the membership saved even more. Still, the savings was nothing compared to the experience itself. We spent a few hours taking our time to read many of the displays, highly recommended stop if you're in the area.

Very well done center honoring the Tennessee recipients of the Medal of Honor. Be prepared to be moved by the stories of courage during this self-guided tour. Highly recommend!

What a gem in the heart of Chattanooga! A very well done museum where we learned the history of the Medal of Honor, why the museum was placed in Chattanooga and so much more. The docents are knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions. Make it a destination and have lunch nearby. I highly recommend it !
