A Flavourful Journey through Portland's Food Cart Scene - Five-Star Food Tour! My wife and I recently joined the Lost Plate Food Tours in Portland for their Food Cart Tour, and had a great (and filling) afternoon! First, the selection of food carts curated by Lost Plate was awesome. Each stop along the way offered a unique dish, showcasing the diverse flavours of Portland's food cart scene. From savoury to sweet, every bite left us wanting more. This tour was a perfect blend of local favourites and hidden gems we might have otherwise missed. The tour experience was amplified by our guide, Herb. His passion for great food and how it fits into Portland’s culture and history added a layer of interest to each stop. Lost Plate Food Tours was a memorable experience and we left with our bellies full and our minds enriched with cool local stories. If you are in Portland and want to experience the city's food culture, I recommend Lost Plate Food Tours and their Food Cart Tour. It's a nice five-star culinary afternoon.

My husband & I loved our tour! It was such a fun way to be able to experience a greater number of items from the various pods. We both liked every single item that was chosen. Herb, our guide, was super friendly & quick to answer all of our groups questions. Even ones that weren’t about food, or possibly didn’t paint his city in the best light, he was always honest and took the time to explain everything. We had gone back and forth trying to decide if we should book this & we were both so glad that we did.

What a great way to learn about coffee and donuts, as well as the great City of Portland! Evangel was so knowledgeable and entertaining. We visited five local businesses on this walking tour. Highly recommended! ☕️🍩

Great experience! A lot of great coffee and donuts with a ton of interesting information. Michelle was a fantastic guide as well. I would highly recommemd this to anyone visiting Portland.

We had a delightful experience with Evangel as our guide. The food and drinks were delectable and varied. We tasted poutine from Canada, pelmeni and kvass from Ukraine, had Thai iced tea lemonade, Burmese Shan noodle salad, Dutch waffles with locally sourced strawberry jam and lemon-vanilla Bavarian cream, Burria street tacos, Amedia crisp cauliflower and ended with pub pretzels and locally brewed beer tasting - and root beer or ginger ale for those that were non- drinkers. Bring your appetite and be prepared for lots of good information about the food and about Portland, OR history. It was a fabulous and memorable day. Thank you.

I rarely ever leave reviews for anything but I thought this tour was so well organized and thought out that I had to leave a review. Michelle was a natural and her personality really shined and it is abundantly clear that not only does she have a passion for the Portland food truck scene but also people too. She asked engaging questions and always made our safety a priority. She has traveled all over and has done many food tours herself and this makes her great at what she does. She was also super knowledgeable about Portland and all the unique food trucks we went to. I would 15/10 recommend doing this tour and supporting a small-family owned business that supports other local PDX small owned food carts on this tour. And of course the food choices were outstanding!! Thank you so much Michelle & Bryan :)

Herb was phenomenal. His knowledge of and passion for the Portland food scene was remarkable. He was very friendly and personable and we were particularly impressed that he remembered all of our names. We had many questions and Herb graciously and expertly answered them all. The variety of food offerings was a delight. As were the portions! We also appreciated the option to get a to-go box to take home any leftovers. We would highly recommend this tour to everyone - even non-alcoholic drinkers.

Had great time on the Donut & Coffee tour with Evangel! Got hungry and skip your morning coffee since there will be plenty on the tour (even some you can take for later). Evangel was great - she was not only very knowledgeable about coffee she also pointed out some fun facts about Portland and left everyone with personalized recommendations for our visit.

Such a fantastic tour! Herb is a wonderful guide - engaging, connected to the Portland food scene, and knowledgable about the specific carts and pods we visited - and every bite we had was delicious. Herb asked a couple of times what our favorite teste was, and it was impossible to choose. There wasn't one dud. :0) We have lived in the Portland area and visited more times than I can count, and we still hadn't been to any of the places we visited on the tour. We most certainly will be back!

Evangel was great! She knew so much about the city and the food and provided us with the best hospitality and service. GO HUNGRY! We sampled so many dishes and they were big portions too! There was a little walking which was nice to burn off a little food for more food. Highly recommend this tour if you're looking to try out some food truck foods so you can get a taste of a variety of things.

Beyond amazing experience with Michelle as our guide today. Booked it as a birthday gift for my brother and had such a fun time learning about all of the diverse food options in Portland. Perfect amount of food, great history lessons along the way, and a bonus art tour of the murals in SE. 10/10 recommend and would do this again in a heartbeat. Thank you for such an awesome day!

Great tour for getting to know Portland's food culture. The food selection was wide and we got to try both meals and drinks. I would definitely say come hungry. The food portions are small but enough to let you try everything on the tour. We were full, but we didn't have leftovers, so no food wasted! I think that our guide Herb made the tour much better by telling all about Portland food cart history and other interesting facts. We learned something new! At the end of the tour we got brochures about other cool places in Portland to visit and I think it's a very good idea. I will try at least a couple of them!

Our guide Herb was amazing - fun, funny, and very knowledgeable. The trip was well organized, a great pace, and a great value as we left STUFFED. The food and drinks were very diversified and we loved everything we tried. If anything it was too much food as we took food home and ended up skipping our dinner plans but I wouldn’t change a thing. I loved being treated with a drink on a hot day to start and the taco was my favorite bite of the trip although everything was wonderful! We would love to see more of these tours from Lost Plate around the US. Hit me up if you make it to Seattle!

Lost Plate is a great way to experience the city and the awesome food scene we have here. We booked this experience for out-of-town coworkers that were visiting, and it was a blast! Michelle, our tour guide, is knowledgable, friendly, and made our tour a lot of fun. I loved how they selected food carts that showcased different countries and cultures, and explained the history and significance of food carts in our city. I would definitely book a tour through Lost Plate again, and recommend to a friend!

Went on Lost Plate's Portland food tour last week and had such a great time! Our tour guide, Michelle, was super fun and knowledgeable about the city. Even the Portland natives learned something new. I absolutely loved the wine, cheese plate, and crepe stops on the tour. It was really nice to have everything within walking distance in such a beautiful, interesting neighborhood. The whole process was super seamless with very little waiting (if any) involved at each stop. I would definitely recommend this tour for people visiting OR living in Portland, as you're sure to try something new.

Excellent tour. Great tour guide. Delicious food and plenty of tasting. I recommend this tour to anyone. Do not eat anything before you come to the tour, they give plenty of food.

The Portland Food Pod tour was great! Our guide, Herb, brought so much energy and enthusiasm as he led us from one delicious site to another. The portions were bigger than I've had on other tours--do not eat breakfast that morning or you'll be too stuffed!

This is the best food tour I have been on. When I go to new cities I pick food tours to learn about the history of the food and find great restaurants. First the food was way more than I was expecting, so come hungry. The choices of the different foods and drinks were from other countries with wonderful stories about each one. Herb is an excellent tour guide and he explained a touch of Oregon history as well as about the food scene here. If you get the chance to take this tour, do it! Savor the dessert as it was the best!

We took the Coffee & Donut tour with Lost Plate and it was a great experience! We tasted so many delicious donuts, and learned a lot about coffee as well as history about Portland along the way. Highly recommend this tour and our guide Michelle was awesome! Thank you!
