As the Director of Gardens Support for the Friends of Birmingham Botanical Gardens, I cannot recommend Kyle Moon and his crews enough. Alabama Aquarium & Pond Services, Inc. maintains all of the water features at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens and they have for over 4 years. They always alert me when they discover an issue and I can count on the advice for repair to be accurate and fairly priced. In my book, they are second to none and if you are considering installing a water feature, they will do an excellent job and if your existing water feature is in need of servicing, give Kyle a call. You will not be disappointed.

This group of people saved our salt water aquarium when a previous guy put an infected fish in our tank. Alabama aquarium has now been taking care of our aquarium for 5 years and have been and are doing an AWESOME job!! We love them, as do our fish!!!

Recently moved into a house with a pond that was in serious need of updates and renovations. Kyle was very responsive and insightful. He came up with a vision of how to make the most of what we have, updated our filters with UV, refreshed the landscape, installed an auto-leveling pump so that the water levels never run low. Really transformed our pond into a spectacular, crystal clear feature. Would highly recommend this business to others.

Professional crew who were obviously concerned about making sure things were done the right way. They could, however, benefit from some work on the admin/scheduling side. As weather induced delays came and went there was a frustrating lack of communication. All in all, though, I'm very happy with the work and would definitely recommend.

We bought a home with a very nice pond water feature. We didn't really know anything about how to care for it. It developed a leak and I found Alabama Aquarium online via a google search. I was fortunate that they were quick to respond with helpful hints immediately via the telephone. They sent someone out the next day to assess our situation. A plan was made, and they followed it, got our pond fixed in a quick professional manner.

These guys are on time every time!!!! You can expect a good quality professional experience every time they come to your home. That’s been my experience every time.

We had been having issues with a medium size aquarium and had AL Aquarium come do a consult to see what might be going on. They were responsive, knowledgeable and professional. Came back and installed a new (better) filter, cleaned the whole tank and added a few fish for us. They gave me instruction for the new maintenance schedule and what to do. All in all a positive experience. They don’t work for free ; ) but I feel like you are getting good value for the money.

The put in a new tank and whole 9 yards for our red earred slider. His old tank was really boring-- just a couple rocks. The did such an amazing job with the landscaping. We have a very happy turtle now. Only bad thing is a little pricey, but they do wonderful work!

The folks at Alabama Aquarium & Pond were very responsive to our request to evaluate and repair our 3-tiered fountain in the front of our house. We're very happy with the timely scheduling of visits, the time they took in explaining repair options to us and the quality of their work. The final result was complete restoration of the fountain's function (which is something another vendor was unable to do for us!). We'll be using them again if/when the fountain needs it!

The Moon's are passionate about what they do. They go the extra mile for their employees as well. Happy employees = trustworthy work. Their support of maintaining the lake at King's Home Ranch further shows their heart for doing good be it a non-profit or their customers. Highly recommend.

Kyle came by and listened to what we wanted. He gave us options, and we agreed on a price. His crew showed up on time, and worked tirelessly to "rehab" our 15-year-old pond. It is much neater, and we love the filter box relocation. It will be easier for us to maintain. Everyone was patient, courteous, and knowledgeable. Time for some new fish!
