This is a beautiful pool but their rules and regulations are not posted clearly and people end up telling you on the spot. There are hooks by the pool but you can't bring anything on the pool deck with you. You have to use the lockers, you can't bring your belongings on the deck. There weren't a lot of people during their free swim on Saturdays 2-4pm but it may be because it isn't posted anywhere. They only do a temperature screening and don't ask for proof of vaccination.

I go for water aerobics very good instructors they have one that does like the high impact exercises for people and then they have another person in the water that also does like a low impact exercise the same like as the other guys doing but just easier if it's hard for you to exercise they have really good exercise coaches I like it you can they have you can go Monday through Saturday you have to go on the internet though to pick the days and you have to sign up and they only have so many spots to have different times 6:00 a.m. 9:00 a.m. 11:00 for it's a lot of different times you have to go on on the LA Parks website

I took my 3 year old to the pool for the first time and I am glad I had the experience at that place. I thought it was going to be ghetto, but it was not. The staff was professional and there was at least 3 sheriff deputies present, so I felt real safe. The facilities were clean and the people were nice. You have to have swim wear when you go, so it felt cool that everyone was on the same accord. I would go back again.

It’s a public pool, keep that in mind. What bothers me about the last time I was there is that only of the life guards tested the water for urine and other contaminants and found that the water was well beyond the save level. Without evacuating the pool just eyeball added in so other solution and was like “that should be good” I got sick. Not from covid, but this was during Covid.

Jesse Owens Instructors made the water aerobic exercise o much fun. I thought it would e boring like the park in long beach but to my surprise the instructor for my session had that class jumping and was engaged the whole time to the point of jumping in the water with us. He had our full attention that class so much fun not one second of it was boring we even had a singing session and the women looked forward to going. This was the best water aerobic exercise class I have ever encountered that instructor may have moved on but he provided a great experience. He loved his job period. I forget his name but he was a young white guy and awesome about appx. a year ago. If you want a great experience Jesse Owens is the place to go.

I have been attending swimming pool for 8years. First water aerobics now just free swim. I love it. It s in the neighborhood, and love the idea of neighborhood family oriented. They say alot of negative things about South Central well let's say something nice about our neighborhood. The sheriff's are there all the time...

I've been coming to Jesse Owens since I was a kid. Women if you want to get a good workout come to the water arobic classes. The instructors are great and the music is fantastic. If you have arthritis, this is a great low impact way to stay in shape.

I enjoy going to the water Aerobics class in the mornings the people are friendly they make you feel welcome and the staff is amazing and the facilities well kept 👍🏾👍🏾

You can park 24 hours a day in and around this park. Nice walking grass. Clean your car out. Plenty of trash cans. Planes flying overhead.

I have always loved this swimming pool it's an Olympic size swimming pool it's always clean and for morning lap it's heated and it's free! The best swimming pool you can go and swim all year long I love it!

Lifeguards here are well mannered and kind. Swim lessons are very affordable

I enjoy morning and evening water aerobics class; the music is upbeat, instructor keeps you moving, pool is clean, and participants sing out loud and are a lot of fun! With COVID and being quarentined at home, I've missed class and look forward to swim and aerobics again When It Is SAFE To Get On The Water. 😁😆

Omg!... Aqua aerobic instructor really worked me out and they open from 6 to 9 30 and they have two class sections and it is free but a little crowded bet worth it!!!!

The pool is amazing for the kiddies and adults. Really all ages. They have paid classes and sometimes free swim at this location. Come early on Saturday around 2 pm for open pool hours and free of charge and let the babies splash.

Great place to go swimming and take up a water aerobic class, and the instructors were great who led the class. I had much fun and the people were pleasant and friendly.

I work out at the pool every day at 6am and it's great. Nice mix of people (women & men) The staff is great and watchful. We older adults that work out at 6m and then at 815. Great work out. Enjoy it very much.

Its free so cant complain. Just make sure you wear swimming gear or they wont let you in the pool. No basketball or tennis shorts allowed. Must be swim wear.
