She makes you feel Like you’re the first customer that has ever walked through her doors and she gives you 100% attention and answers all of your questions thoroughly regardless of how repetitive they must be on a day in and day our basis. I’ve purchased multiple products from her over the years and as a result have been invited to attend their group outings which can be found on Facebook “Riverbound Paddle Meetup and Events” Group which is over 1200 strong locally and growing daily. They provide boards for group instruction, for families, couples and groups on vacation and for SUP Yoga at several destinations whether a local lake, river, or even some local resort pools and high end fitness centers. I've been meaning to share this hidden gem for a while now. The real story began years ago when I met the owner at the local radio station I work at. I thought one day, I'm gonna try that. Fast forward to a year ago and I try paddle boarding for the first time, then double kayaking. This is the best place to try out. I've made friends with the crew and thanks to them discovered a hidden world within the lakes in my own LOCAL area. They gave me tips on how to find places that I never knew existed. Terri, Garrett, Paul and Corey and the whole team at Riverbound are the kindest people. Honest and reliable...They helped me find my confidence, and for that I'll always be so thankful. I highly recommend this for anyone that likes local authentic real people and legit service. No matter how busy they get ( Yes, they are slammed this time of the year ) the moment you're turn is up there's no rush. Just real care and making sure you're ready with some high grade equipment and the experience to let you know what the waters going to be like the day you go out.

We stopped in on a Tuesday afternoon. So many products related to kayaking and paddle boarding. Nice range of products in this category. Folding kayaks too! Terry was knowledgeable and friendly. Even reccomended local groups to join to get better and make friends. Terry helped us and showed us everything, if you want top notch customer experience while she helps everyone at once? This is your place to go people. A+ I WILL BE BACK.

We had an awesome time on our first lesson in paddle boarding with Robert! He is so enthusiastic about the sport that gets you more interested! Teri and Cory are so nice and will work with you on what you need!

Customer service is top notch! extremely informative and sweet. This was our first time renting (on vacation) and she was sure to go over everything and give her recommendations. Kayak (inflatable) was in perfect condition and we got asked all day from other people on the river how we liked them. Very easy to set up and take down, was comfortable all day and lots of leg room. Great value

This was a wonderful experience from beginning to end for our family of 6. Teri was kind, helpful, and informative -from advising where the best launching locations were to advising when to turn back due to strong headwinds. She explained how to keep out of the way of motorboats and which little coves were worth going into. She taught us how to inflate and deflate, helped us keep our luggage since we were heading out of town right after. All with such a sweet and warm attitude. The kayaks and equipment was very clean and well maintained. Our kids even commented that the vests “smelled clean” unlike all the other times we have gone kayaking with other companies 😂. What a great experience. We will definitely use you all again!

Fantastic rental! We will never rent from anyone else. We took two kayaks and three paddleboards down the lower Salt River and it was amazing. Teri and her team are simply the best, they made sure we had everything we needed and all equipment was sanitized and ready to go when we picked up.

Our guide (nick) was the absolute best. Dude showed us all the sweet spots and made sure we knew how to use the kayak and equipment. Definitely made the trip memorable and 1000% will be go back.

A place I will always come to for family like service. I have rented inflatable kayaks twice in the last few years (we don't get out often) from Riverbound and they have never failed to exceed my expectations when coming here. Always so friendly and genuinely interested in what we're doing to help better provide the proper equipment for location of kayaking. I loved the personal recommendations for where to go and the wide knowledge of great location for paddling. The pricing and scheduling is extremely easily online and very straightforward there are no hidden fees or any add ons that arent easily shown in price breakdown. Pumps jackets paddles all included! We ordered two kayaks and waited ~6 months for them to arrive due to manufacturing and shipping delays. Terri and everyone we talked to Riverbound was always friendly and knowledgeable and kept us updated on the status of the kayaks. They promised to share some good kayaking destinations near by so we could immediately get out and use the kayaks. When we finally made the 300 mile drive to pick them up, we had an excellent in store experience too. Dan from Headwaters Kayak was there, delivering some kayaks to the store. His Youtube channel helped us make an informed choice of kayaks to purchase. He also helped us with tips and a good conversation. The owners spent time to answer our questions and help us choose the other gear we needed. Everything seems really high quality and we truly appreciated their advice and guidance. Above all it was nice to deal with patient, friendly folks! Now we are off to the lake :)

Usually I have a go to spot for kayak rentals but since this was local and I didn’t even know they existed decided to give them a try.. first I must say this is my new go to place! scupper (aka nick) was super helpful in loading up more kayaks than my tiny truck could handle but he made it happen. If you call him scupper, scup , or scuppels he is guaranteed to give you stickers, let you in on hidden secrets of the river and be 10 times more efficient and more helpful than he originally already was .. all jokes aside , scuppers took his time in making sure our kayaks were secure and got super creative to get us down the road safely! Scup even took the time to teach us how to tie down each section so we felt confident doing it on our own after our trip. The whole team here is amazing and seems like a small family run business, Which is where I prefer to spend my money. If you’re looking for an amazing rental company use this company, scupples will hook it up and you’re guaranteed to have a good time… will defiantly be back to use them again.

This place was absolutely amazing! They gave us so much detail about the areas around us that would be a good idea for our time limit. They were so friendly and helpful. Riverbound also showed us how to set up and take down the inflatable kayaks we rented! We will definitely come back ❤️

Had a truly great experience at Canyon Lake thanks to these folks. Terri (Terry?) was awesome, super sweet and friendly, and really helpful. My friend and I rented a tandem kayak. It was an off green color so we named it Big Dill. Big Dilly for the winny!! Thanks Riverbound buds, we had a blast!!

Terry and the crew were wonderful to work with. I rented an inflatable kayak and spent 2 gorgeous days on Lake Saguaro and Lower Salt River. I highly recommend this business - they were so helpful and friendly.

The best in Arizona. Vary Inclusive Autism friendly. The instructors took the time to help my autistic son learn more about safe paddle boarding and how to race paddle boards. I have seen them give people at the lake tips and suggestions to help the be safe and have fun when paddle boarding or kayaking at the lake. Large caring group of people. With excellent customer service.

All around great experience from renting to purchase. The staff is professional, friendly, and outstanding customer service, Recently organize a trip for 30 guys to kayak the Salt River. Riverbound Sports was able to outfit the guys with kayak, deliver, and pick-up from the river. We had an amazing day. I would highly recommend Riverbound Sports.

This was our first time and we got an inflatable 2 person kayak . The customer service was AMAZING literally. My spouse and I had Terry and Shane’s help and i must say they went above and beyond to make sure we were okay and knew how to use it properly! We were just visiting but will come back to do this again !! Would highly recommend!

Terri was super helpful with our paddle board rentals. She told us the best spots to go in the area. We were happy with the quality of the rentals, and their service and expertise was amazing. Both Terri and Garrett showed us various brands and models of SUP's- we will definitely be back to purchase some Paddle boards very soon!

This California business owners made their success out here in Tempe arizona... making AZ home in 98'... Aside from rentals they have life jackets, coolers, boat gear and swimwear available. The rental here is so convenient and easy. Just a simple call and they put in our order for us to rent a inflatable kayak. They sent the necessary liability forms directly though email and text and had our equipment ready and waiting for us to pickup at the back of the store. You can purchase the visitors pass to the lake from their establishment. The gentleman there preparing the boats was helpful and explained everything we needed to do to bring our gear to saguaro lake. He recommended Butcher Jones recreational site. We got to the site and kayaked for a bit. while on the lake we thought our kayak had a leak or hole. We called and they said they would give us an opportunity to switch our our kayak and give us an extra day on them. But after we repumped our kayak it appears that it worked well.. The kayak was so convenient to pump and carry out the lake. Beautifully made and relaxing. Equipment given to us also provided two life jackets, two paddles, seat cushions for kayak, and big hand carry bag that stores our kayak. It was a sigh of relief and I was so happy by their quick service and responsiveness in placing their customers needs as priority. Teri, one of the owners.. was their to welcome us back and give us some stickers and inform us she would give us a military discount adjustments to what we paid. I felt she was so sweet and warm. She has a great communication with her customers and she was polite on the phone and gave excellent service. We will come back on our next vacay back to AZ.

Great prices, great boards AND accessories. Cant say enough nice things about the service. Made sure we knew how to load and unload the boards. Gave us directions how to get to the best spots. This is the place!

I enjoyed my experience at Riverbound Sports. Being new to the area and to paddle boarding, the owner and staff were welcoming. When I asked questions, they were generous with their knowledge of the equipment I was buying/renting and of the area I was paddling. After talking to Cory and Terri about availability of Eddyline kayaks, I arranged to stop in on the way to Lake Havasu and purchased a Sitka LT. They were very knowledgeable and helpful. The customer service was excellent and it could not have been a better experience. My only regret is that I live 850 miles away and will not be able to utilize their friendly services very often! Great store and very knowledgeable. Terry was outstanding at helping us pick out our first kayak. Made sure she understood what we were going to use it for and then gave us options. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for SUPs, kayaks or motorized skateboards (one wheel).

This was my first visit. All the customers along with the staff were soooo friendly…. Now on the one wheels…. “I have been 3 times now”. She took at least 10 minutes telling me the pros, cons, and even asking questions about my previous experiences with any type of board riding sports I have done, Basically she would tell u, “this might not be for you,”OR, “your going to love it” The only thing I wish I would have purchased the GT AND NOT THE PINT… That’s the only thing looking back. I spent $1500 then 1 week later $2300….I wish I really would have went elsewhere or had her get the inventory from home, to buy the GT. (IMPORTANT TO KNOW)They are not intended for a beginner to get the pint x and more advanced the GT. If anything the GT IS EASIER TO RIDE! It’s capabilities are increased also… that is all adjustable in the app. U can start beginner, and work up as u get used to it. I was not aware, but regardless of your skill level the GT IS easier to ride, unless you are under 90 pounds or 10 -13 in age. She also pointed out and warned me, yes they have warranty at one wheel, but NO RETURNS FOR REFUND, One wheel no return policy. Last thing to point out they have a large selection on parts, safety gear!!! I will be back!!
