Soooo yummy! I'm glad we decided to try this place out. We also got a horchata, and chips with salsa, to accompany our big meal. Definitely left us stuffed, especially the huge Cali burrito. Only downside I'd say is parking. Plus the fact that I wish there was a Don Tommy's in our area so we'd be able to visit often!

Being from Texas, we have plenty of authentic Mexican restaurants and quite a few of what we call hole-in-the-wall taco places. This little place fits the bill. Anyone looking for a quick authentic meal, this is the place. The food is excellent and is served in large portions. I very pleased with this place and will be returning on my next trip to San Diego.

We have come here for the past two years and when we first came, the food was always delicious, and it was cheaper. Pros: The place is updated nicely and some of our food was really good. The man cooking at the stove is always very friendly and works a lot of magic. Con: Somehow, the last few times we have come, the young person with curly brown hair who appears to be a young male has been at the register. Tonight, which will be our last night coming, he spoke to my wife and myself very disrespectfully. When they served us our cheese enchiladas, the cheese on the inside was still shredded, cold and uncooked. I very respectfully approached the young man and informed him of this, showing him the inside. He told us that is how it has to be cooked because otherwise the outside will be burned. How is that an enjoyable thing to eat? We just asked him to make us a chicken enchilada. He turned to the cook, who was concerned, and said “otra mas” (one more). He then proceeded to change the radio station that was playing to Alice In Chains for some strange reason, and decided to literally sit with his friend who was dining until a few folks were standing and waiting for a bit at the counter. My wife and I are queer and we receive negative attention like this from service workers at times and it just sucks receiving disrespect when all we do is give respect. We asked a family as they were leaving if he was rude to them and they said yes. We did not say or do anything inappropriate or wrong. Sadly, as I said, we have been long time customers and will not be coming any longer.

WOW this place is delicious 😋 it reminds me of my grandma's cooking. I wish I could have tried a breakfast burrito before I left. If I go back to San Diego I'm definitely coming back here. My family enjoyed everything they ordered, no complaints here.

It’s definitely a fancier Mexican dining location. Parking is in front of the store. I ordered a Carne Asada Burrito for $12.00. Portion size to price, was a lot more tortilla than the food inside. Now the salsa’s was on point! 4 flavors. Was it a nice experience? Yes. Will I return. No.

Parked right in front of this place. I haven't had a chance to try their food or check out their service. My review is based on what I see! Small little place offer table inside and outside along the sidewalk. Very vibrant looking with fiesta vibes. The menu sounds delicious and the aroma from the kitchen is promising. I will have to check out this place next time I m in SD and will update my review on their food, price, and service!

The burritos here are made fresh to order. The shell is chewy, translucent, warm and superb!

Great burritos and super large portions. They make everything from scratch including their tortillas which are done fresh on the grill when preparing your order. A little pricier than your typical taco shop but way better

Best vegetarian taco I ever had! My husband had the California burrito and loved it. My daughter had the carne asada street tacos and said the flavor IS AMAZING! Tiny place, not fancy but the focus of this place is great food! I would give it 10 stars if I could!

Super awesome spot! Those guys were very nice and patient with me since it was my first time. Bang for your buck based on the amount of food you get. It was very delicious and will visit again for sure!! Found a new spot 🤟

Food and service were good BUT $18.32 for 2 breakfast TACOS is exorbitant!!! Bacon & egg taco is advertised at $4.50 each. They charged us $4.00 for cheese on a taco??? And we didn’t even get cheese 🧀🥴. This place has a nice family atmosphere and clean good food. Street parking makes it difficult too but overall the sticker price for two bacon & egg breakfast taco is unbelievable!😔com’on man!

The tortillas are tasty...very fluffy and chewy. And the carne asada was good. But the carnitas had big chunks of fat in it, and on both burritos the guacamole was slim and the pico was plain. At $13 a burrito I felt a little cheated.

Saw this restaurant on the way to get my dog groomed. Lots of people in the front so I knew it was good. Also saw that it was homemade tortillas! Went back they were so nice and polite. I bought a Maui Maui burrito. You can actually watch the guy cook your meal! Really clean Took it home along with the soda. It was absolutely huge and absolutely delicious stuffed with fish $14.50 and I still have half to eat later thank you guys adios. Looking forward to seeing you mañana.

I had the Supreme burrito. It was well cooked and flavorful! Lovely staff. Highly recommend stopping by. The music was slightly to loud though, it hurt my ears, but I didn't want to eat outside because of the wind.

Clearly homemade tortillas. Amazing California burrito. And don't sleep on the salsa.

Average to slightly above average. Ordered some fried fish tacos. The breading turned to absolute mush....completely ruining the texture of them. My brother ordered the carne asada burrito. The tortilla was awesome, but there is a lot of it. The tortilla to steak ratio favored greatly towards to tortilla.

Wasn't the best. I had a burrito and chips. The chips were basically just deep fry. Don't recommend. The burrito was a pastry wrap and overly doughy in my opinion. There were very few toppings besides meat and had to add external hot sauce. Overall just wasn't happy with what I paid for. I suggested to an old lady coming in to go somewhere else when she asked how it was. Very meh but if you need food it's not the worst either.

Very cool, store front Mexican food spot. The customer service was incredible from the moment I walked in and the food was BOMB! A must go in San Diego.

I got the carne asada burrito. Wasn’t super impressed, wasn’t super disappointed. There are probably a lot of worse places to eat and there are probably a lot of better places to eat.

This place has got it! Their chicken is marinated in a tasty sauce, tender, and juicy. Quality chicken. Their sopes had an amazing crunch with a chewy center, and the price for the sopes was great. Friendly staff. Horchata was fire! Service was a little slow on this first visit but I think that was an anomaly. Edited to 4stars bc the tortilla for the burrito was dry and had a flour/semolina dusting. I like my burritos made with more lard so they are chewy and get a good caramelization

I'm probably not the person to say what authentic Mexican food is but my guess is that this is pretty close to it. The street tacos my wife got, the California burrito and horchata that I got we're all delicious, fresh off the grill and well priced. Would definitely eat there again. Parking is a little scarce but as long as it isn't too busy you should be fine.

Their street tacos were amazing. Carne asada and adobado were both great!! Fried fish is probably do elsewhere - it was good, but there are better fish tacos around IMHO.

The food tastes good and did not have a heavy greasy taste, which was very much appreciated. Its pricey, we got 3 taquitos, carne asada burrito, and two perrier drinks, totally $22 and change. This is average for San Diego and being near Cabrillo Monument I think it was ok overall. There is minimal parking so pick up or delivery is your best bet. Only taking one star off because we asked for the meats to be cooked well done and they didnt, everything was cooked through but I enjoy it to be a bit on the burnt side and I even said this to the cook which works right by the register. So it seems to be a trend for them if you ask for a bit of a tweak of ingredients or cooking time you most likely wont get it the way you like. They are very friendly, not rude at all. For an evening snack/lunch its fine. We dined in front which was nice to eat in the shade enjoying the breeze, got lucky that there was a spot right in front to park.
