A simple date night. My partner and I wanted to try this restaurant out together and our experience was worth it. From the service (Thank you Henry and the chef team) to the food and drinks, we were not disappointed. I had the Guyanese oxtails, while my partner had the Fried yard bird as a main dish. They were delicious. The oxtail was well seasoned and the flavor of the sauce was amazing. However, I did not like the texture of the rice, so I just ate the oxtail alone. My partner enjoyed the fried yard bird. We also tried the Mac and cheese as well as the cornbread. I would definitely visit again and recommend it to others.

The food and environment is really amazing and something to experience if you're in Miami. We had the deviled eggs which had a great mustard flavor, and the jalapeno butter served with the cornbread was perfect. The kale salad was nice and delicate and we paired that with the cheese grits and the biscuits and gravy. The gravy was different, more tomato and andoiulle sausage-based than the classic white gravy, and I thought it was fantastic. The interior decorations are so beautiful it feels like you are inside some kind of historic moment and indeed you are, since the Chef has won so many awards relating to his food and his serving of communities. They only hire staff from the community as well, so the whole place gives such a homely vibe in combination with the soul food inspired dishes. Will definitely come back.

Delicious food, beautiful interior design and great service. We were waited by Carlos, he speaks incredible Spanish and gave us amazing recommendations. This has definitely become one of my favorite restaurants in Miami.

Karla was our server and she is amazing. It was us four girls celebrating my friends birthday. She created great drinks. She gave us a quick tour of upstairs which was amazing to see. We definitely plan to do couples event soon. There is so much history and the food was great.

They had me at Lady Diana. I love some Diana Ross and her picture greeted me at the front. The atmosphere was wonderful during our Sunday brunch. The interior Design is impeccable and the patio landscaping is so inviting. The cornbread is to die for. The deviled eggs had too much paprika for my taste. The chicken was not flavorful on the inside but the crust was good. My waffles were hard on the edges. I saw some others that looked delicious without the burnt outer edge. The gospel jazz trio was delightful. It is a must try.

Everything was excellent, the food, the environment and the service, top tier. The cornbread and macaroni were amazing. If youre looking for a great cocktail try the Miami milkshake. We went on a Sunday and they had a gospel sunger there who was amazing. Please check them out if you find yourself in Miami.

We reserved for a party of 8 seated timely and service was exceptional. Our server Henry was amazing, explained the menu, provided recommendations, and was attentive the entire time! We had the yardbird chicken and biscuits, cornbread, mac and cheese, and truffle ravioli. Everything was delicious, chicken had just the right amount of kick to it and the crunch on the outside was perfect. The jalapeño butter was the best for the biscuits. Mac and cheese was extra cheesy. The guava empanadas were my favorite. Cant wait to go back! Chef Marcus never disappoints.

Our server Jeremy was AMAZING. He's pleasant, patient and knowledgeable about the menu. Service was 10/10. Food was really good and portions were HUGE. However, I had did not enjoy the garlic rice, it was crunchy. Wish it was steamed.

The food was absolutely incredible. We had the shrimp and grits and the yard bird and everything was delicious. Also for appetizers highly recommend the garlic crab and Marcus’ cornbread. Our server Jessica was incredible and such great energy. She took us through the menu and gave us her favorites and every recommendation was delicious.

Had a wonderful lunch here! Jessica B (Yésica) as our server. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave great recommendations. We LOVED the cornbread. The jalapeño butter was amazing! And the Overtown Bacon Cheeseburger was just as delicious! The pictures don’t do the place justice. Would definitely return!

I recently dropped by Red Rooster Overtown, and it was honestly an awesome experience from start to finish. First off, they've got parking that's a breeze to navigate, so no stress there. Now, let's talk about the grub and drinks - they're seriously delicious. The menu's got a bit of everything, and the food is fresh and scrumptious. The drinks menu is pretty impressive too, with a variety that pairs perfectly with your meal. Plus, the service was spot-on. The staff was super friendly and knew their stuff when it came to the menu. They made us feel right at home, and our glasses were never empty. What's more, the vibe at Red Rooster Overtown is just right. It's got that lively yet cozy feel that's perfect for a fun night out with friends or a special date night. Whether you're celebrating something special or just want to unwind, [Business Name] sets the stage for a good time. Bottom line, I totally recommend giving Red Rooster Overtown a shot if you're looking for a fantastic dining experience. They've got the parking, delicious food, great drinks, awesome service, and a vibe that's hard to beat. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to dig into more of their tasty dishes!

Modern yet traditional. Red Rooster is very welcoming. From the warm colors inside, the comfortable seating, the great music and the staff. I found their cornbread to be delicious as was the catfish sandwich. It came with best fries I’ve had yet in Miami. And the bathroom - uber clean and great smell. My server - Jessica - was delightful and very knowledgeable about the menu. It’s always a good sign when the team are excited about the food. I’ll be back for their snapper.

The new menu is excellent. Perfect chicken wings. Had the fried chicken sandwich, shrimp and grits and the mac and cheese. Everything is very good. The service is excellent. The kitchen is a little slow, so have a drink and wait for it. It’s worth the wait.

Nice huge modern restaurant with a nostalgic feel reminiscent of its history in Overtown. I loved how the old architecture of the building has been enhanced with new lighting, touch less hand dryers, etc. The food: we had the jambalaya with grits. Strange combination, but not bad. Could've been a little more spicy. I'm not a grit fans, but still finished my meal and it was enjoyable. My friend had nice juicy ribs. My wife had the chair grilled chicken wings and both of those dishes looked and tasted nice. The deviled eggs with pork rinds probably was my least favorite looking dish. Henry our server was very knowledgeable, attentive and cordial. I thought the restaurant was too pricey, but they are lower during happy hour. I would come back to Red Rooster

The place gave a good southern vibe. The Mac and cheese was a pretty decent but the cornbread was super dry. My sister had the oxtail which she enjoyed but came off a bit dry for me as well. The best thing they had was the rice. Overall it was a solid eating experience and good for large groups.

First visit and last. The food is overrated! Not worth the price. One Crab cake $29 too much bread not enough crab. Garlic Crab filled with more bread crumbs than crab. No refills on Sweet Tea. Each cup $4.00 Grilled Wings (5) pieces $18 as an appetizer. Salad ingredients the average person will not eat. Remove the unfamiliar ingredients (feta, olives, raffa) you have nothing. The best item my family enjoyed was the chicken and biscuit. Great atmosphere the food wasn’t what the word is on social media. Waste of money! Very disappointing don’t based your visits on what you see and hear on social media. You will be disappointed. The misquotes almost took us away. The waiter said she would light the rock that runs them away. That never happened. That’s important when your restaurant offers outdoor seating. It’s bad enough you have to keep running the huge lizards away. I don’t mind paying the price for great quality food. Not so pleasant visit.

Came here with some friends to celebrate a birthday and it was an amazing experience. Service was great, Steven was our server and he explained the menu perfectly. I noticed many people got the chicken and waffles but I got the Ragout instead. It was really flavorful, kinda tasted like a Haitian legume. The deviled egg as were very flavorful, served cold with a mustard based reduction and a crunchy piece of chicharron. We also got the cornbread to share along with some oysters. I’ll definitely come back to experiment as it was a great experience. Definitely worth checking them out.

Wow! I was so excited to come to Red Rooster because this is a Marcus Samuelsson restaurant. I watch him on TV a lot. Well he did the darn thing. This spot is amazing. The atmosphere is welcoming. The art is spectacular. They even have a pool hall upstairs. Plenty of space for private parties. The hostess did not recognize it was my birthday when we checked in. It was on our OpenTable reservation. Nor did she have a good attitude for the job. But Henry our server made up for it. We had an awesome experience. He even took us on a tour of the place. The managers on duty stopped by to check on us. The staff was always coming by to see if they could take anything from our tables. Awesome service. Now the food, whoa! Upscale comfort food it is. We had the cornbread as an appetizer. Delicious. We had the chicken wings, collard greens, oxtail and key lime bread pudding. Everything was favorable, tender, juicy and spectacular 😋 👌. I absolutely highly recommend!!!

This place is amazing. The food delicious and if you are unsure of what to order if it's your first time no worries if you have a server like Inti who is very friendly, attentive, caring, excellent customer service, he knows the entire menu he can guide you in the right direction. He did so for us during our visit last night and everything was on point. Inti will now be my go to server anytime I'm in town. The fish was so delicious it practically just melted in your mouth. Thank you Inti for this amazing experience.
