Great views of NYC, Ellis Island, and the Statue of Liberty. There is tons of space to hang out for the day and grill, walk along the water, or use the workout trail. The Empty Sky Memorial and train station are also nice to check out. Despite the park being a popular spot, itโ€™s never hard to find some space away from everyone else.

Served by all train lines, and next to (you guessed it) Liberty State Park. The southbound platform is incorporated into the sidewalk, with connections to NJT Bus routes.

This was perfect for viewing the New York skyline without being in New York. It wasn't crowded which was great and the views were amazing. There is a path along the water and benches every couple of yards. You can see the Statue of Liberty and Ellis island from here. And it's free! Plenty of green space and picnic tables.

Really like this light rail stop. Very close to the liberty state park itself as well as the liberty science center. A fair amount of room and usually pretty clean. Also a spot where you can get on either the line from 8th-hoboken or west side-tonelle. The Hudson Bergen light rail is a great way to get around in the area.

Nice park for a day outside. Great playground away from the station and ferry boarding. Walkway is beautiful and not too crowded. Great views of NYC, the Statue of liberty, Ellis Island, and the Hudson River. Lovely place!

A must see location when visiting the New York City / northern New Jersey area. The views are breathtaking and the monuments are truly astonishing. Excellent photo opportunities. I enjoyed how they were able to preserve so much of the original train track areas and it provides you with a self-guided trip down memory lane into what the area used to be and how it shaped the areas's history. I also highly reccomend checking out Liberty House for dining when you are finished strolling the park.

Wonderful. Enjoy the NY skyline. Ample parking even on a busy weekend (unlike many other places in NY/NJ).

HBLR is a great line on a normal day. But thereโ€™s ALWAYS shuttle buses between Jersey Ave/Liberty Park and Bayonne almost every weekend because of โ€œmaintenance.โ€ You might as well start a Garfield Ave Line along the HBLR route (maybe to replace the 4 Bus) that was discontinued years ago. Between this and the Bayonne Flyer, itโ€™s ALWAYS something to inconvenience Richard St and Danforth Ave commuters in Greenville.

The trucks coming from pacific avenue in order to take care of the railroad are leaving a massive amount of gravel on the pacific avenue cycle lane. Please do something about it.

This has the potential to be a really nice location but we didn't see it at it's best due to two days of torrential rain which caused footpaths to become badly flooded (as well as soaking us to the skin ๐Ÿ˜†).

Do not use after 10pm Monday - Sunday. Light rail train on Google says โ€œevery 35minโ€ after 10pm but they do whatever they want. Waited 90minutes for a West Side Ave train on a Friday with no updates anywhere. Ubers charge $10 extra to pick you ip if you try to call a cab. Embarrassing to live in an area that depends on this service. Trains to under developed areas/non gentrified area are completely abandoned after rush hour.
