My family has been using Henry C. Reid and sons since 1959. My grandmother has very high standards when it came to purchasing, or repairing jewelry. The ONLY place she would go is Henry C. Reid and Son, and so do I. Here are some examples why: They treat you and your items like family. They take the time to know the story behind every piece you purchase or the repairs needed. My baby locket (when I was born) that my grandparents bought for me needed to be repaired and polished. They handled the item with such care it impressed me. They wanted to know the story about the piece, and how much it meant to the both of us. They did an amazing job. They knew her health was declining and helped in anyway. I sent them a video of her looking at the repaired locket so happy to see it in its glory. The staff at Henry C. Reid were ecstatic with her response. It shows how passionate they are in their craft. Another example: I had custom royal blue sapphire and diamond studs made. Minnie and Mr. Greg French listened what I wanted. They came out with different cuts to see which I liked best. They were in constant communication during the whole process. The earrings came out exactly as I envisioned. Last two examples: As I waited for jewelry to be brought to the counter, an older women just finished picking up her items. We chatted for a few minutes. She said, “ I don’t make a lot of money but they treat me as every other client walking through their doors. Such warmth and respect. This why I love coming here.” I couldn’t agree more. I live an HOUR and HALF from Fairfield. After my grandmother passed, I Still only use HENRY C. REID. I WILL drive an HOUR and a HALF each way to keep using them in the future.

I am a very particular person and wanted a unique, hand forged engagement ring, for which I already had a vision in mind, for my fiancée. My husband and I went to Harry C. Reid & Sons, looking for a new setting for my engagement ring to coordinate with my eternity wedding band. I never buy jewelry. On occasion, I've gone into Henry C. Reid & Son in Fairfield, CT, but only to bring in my wife's engagement/wedding rings for repair or polishing. Each time I have done this, I dealt with Corinne, who treated these interactions with the same keen attention and sincere care I would have expected to be reserved for a customer purchasing a big-ticket item. Well, this past December for a combo birthday/Christmas gift for my wife, I decided that I was going to make a long-overdue jewelry purchase. And there was no doubt that the only place I would consider making this purchase was with Corinne and the staff at Henry C. Reid & Son. What I considered to be a scary and overwhelming process was instead a quick, yet extremely thorough, process, resulting in the purchase of the perfect pair of diamond stud earrings -- which my wife loves!! Led by Corinne (though, at one point, I believe I had every employee in the store lending helpful advice and expertise), this was a very pleasant experience with a very successful outcome. Henry C Reid—specifically Claire!—has been my first and only stop for our wedding bands, graduation gift, engagement ring re-sizing, anniversary gifts, lost wedding band replacement (oops), and will continue to be a mainstay even though we've left the CT area. I had an absolute fantastic experience at Henry C Reid & Son Jewelers. This was my first visit there and everyone treated me as if I was a life time customer. David was fabulous. When dropping my ring off for repair I mentioned a couple vacations I was going on and let me tell you when I went back to approve the repair and then again to pick up the ring he remembered every detail and asked me all about my trip. That's customer service. The ring I dropped off was my engagement ring and 2 wedding bands that I have connected together. This ring was previously repaired about 2-3 years prior by another jeweler that actually did a makeshift job with the repair. I was not able to see the botched job as the work was inside. David and his team showed me under their magnifying glass how bad the repair was that the other Jewlery did. I won't mention the other Jewelers name because at this point it really doesn't matter. What matters is the amazing job Henry C Reid & Son Jewelers did to fix my ring and all while doing it my ring never left their shop. I will definitely be back for any other service needs or purchases. Oh and they cleaned and shined my tennis bracelet as well. Came out beautiful. If anyone is in the market they create custom engagement rings on their premises. And have a beautiful showcase of other pieces.

Heart C Reid & Son made several custom pieces of jewelry for our wedding that completely exceeded our expectations! No detail was too small and I spent several hours with Claire designing engraved wedding bands, monogramed cufflinks, and re-creating my original engagement ring into diamond and pearl earrings that I wore on my wedding day. Everything was exactly how we envisioned, and they were able to work with our expedited time frame as well!
