I recently completed my jury duty service at the George Deukmejian Courthouse and was blown away at how nice and clean the building is. Facilities are modern and everyone I interacted with (especially the folks in the jury service room) were so kind and helpful. I wasn’t looking forward to jury duty but it turned out to be a very pleasant experience. The parking garage was also very easy to access and jurors get their parking validated.

Would give zero stars. I see why the reviews are very low stars Very rude lady I just spoke with. My ticket is from 5 months ago and still hasn’t been filed in the system so she looked me up by my driver’s license #, after I tried reading the ticket number. I asked if the ticket number came up after she looked me up so I could write it down. She treated me like I was stupid while I was nice the whole time. I’m in customer service myself, own a business and no matter how bad my day is I will always treat others the way I would want to be treated. Told her I hope you have a better day and be nicer.

Parking for Jurors is at 101 Magnolia, close to courthouse. Juror waiting area is spacious, so you can bring a laptop or tablet. Plenty of outlets. Getting into building in the morning was not bad. What happens once youa check in for jury duty is a mystery. All potential jurors today at 10am told to come back at 1:30 pm. Hopefully one and done with service today.

I don’t know who processed the paperwork for tickets. I sent a reduction in pay due to me being unemployed, a student with no money, and they expected me to pay $160. This is why students in America are broke. I literally used my phone just to see the map for one second. I seen people drive crazy and do other worse things and they don’t even get a ticket. Second of all, I sent a reduction in pay and they didn’t reduce anything. They just extended the date of the deadline EXCEPT they didn’t even input that correctly into the system. So now I have an overdue ticket and they might add an additional $100 on top of my ticket. I have no money to pay so what are they going to do? I can’t even afford food.

As far as courts go, the people that worked here were very polite and friendly. The judge on the other hand wasn't very understanding according to my friend that I had given a ride to.

Wish i can give this court a 0 start rating my first hand experience providing actual facts of court violation, abuse, police reports and alienation as in proof of parents with holding kids have not been held accountable and which the cycle continues due to the fact each judge in s.14 family law room says lets just go with the last judge orders and no decision is made leading to life’s being destroyed and the non custodial parent will never get justice here please have a good lawyer if your case is here. My preyers go up the parents that want to be in their kids life and can’t be due to the custodial parent decisions.

I've not completed the experience :P, but so far it's been very nice from the people that work there, to the building itself. Unfortunately the building is the MAIN ATTRACTION HERE, when it should be the people; lamoe ... Parking for this courthouse is funny, but some homeless kind individuals pointed out that SINCE COVID there is NO STREET SWEEPING hurray!!!!!! so happy has been a nice time no matter what :D UPDATE: If you must go to court; GET YOURSELF A TICKET TO THIS COURT. It's judges are HUMANS WITH A HEART no matter if the judgment is no or yes. The judges I've seen three of'em are way too nice and accommodating to the human situation. It was a very happy experience granted I didn't expect much tbh. I love this court and respect it's residents inside a lot. Very nice and human court! Area is funky but humans with a heart work in there. I was lucky to go into there so happy. Sort of changed my outlook on life a little.

I've never interacted with the people of the courthouse or been in court here, but wow, what a beautiful building. Very glad to live so close to this incredible build.

Talk about a SCAM. I get ticketed for "noise polution" on a STOCK vehicle. I call multiple times to get a court date NO DATES available. NO OPTION but to pay them.

Horrible court and judges! African American judge (female) gave a default judgment to a man who has not properly provided paternity and is a sociopath! He has a history of kidnapping and domestic violence! Stay far away from here! They ruin families!

The clerks in the UD and Civil Unlimited departments are stellar. They are so incredibly helpful. They took the time to help me and really made my day less stressful. I appreciate their kindness so much!!

Very attractive, modern building, efficient screeners at entrance, gorgeous open central area with efficient escalators to the top. Only problem is that parking is not well marked. I ended up at a nice lot 1/2 block south on Magnolia. Only $12 for the day.

The new courthouse is amazingly beautiful. Unfortunately, the service is horrible. I've been waiting for a response from a document submitted over 6 weeks ago, while Bellflower, Downey, and East Los Angeles courts responded within 2 weeks or less!

They need more benches for the people that payed for this expensive building. Judge Behar is very fair, been going in to see her since I was 17, 32 now and she still is very reasonable.

Was very helpful and informative, will not hesitate in returning if I need help. Also, I will recommend if someone asks.

Everything is easily accessible. The building is beautiful. It feels open and spaxxdd

This is a beautiful building (the nicest courthouse I ever been in), but the judges and prosecutors are horrible people. Lucky my family had a hell of a lawyer. Hope I’m never in there again.

Was here at 8:30 and did not get seen until after their lunch break!!! It only took 5 hours!!!! GREAT SERVICE !!!!

Clean, safe and modern space if you need to be in court.

The concept of having millions of laws to arrest detain or fine an individual even for making loud noises at night or being outside is the beginning of the crux toward humanity. Not that I do it but it seems unjust to need to be taxed for this "public service". And here's why, the sunlight is very hot carcinogenic and unbearable.

Never went here and never will. But if you have a case. Ignore the options you have until you're found guilty. The judge will find you guilty if you do pick any of the options available to you. Site basically is a trap.
