If you like excellent food then L’Appart is it. If you love French cuisine then L’Appart is definitely it. This unassuming #French #restaurant in the Historic Core of DTLA is worth a try. The food is expertly prepared and the service is great. The menu is relatively small and changes with the season but some of my favorites are the oysters, escargot, mussels, sea bass and the lamb shanks. Check them out! You won’t be disappointed.

Excellent dining experience for a table of 2. On the menu this evening was a Frisée salad, Escargot, Beef Bourgeon, and Crème Brûlée for desert. Pasta was al dente, meats were prepared nice and soft with no complaints for the whole experience. It’s in downtown so parking is on the street or a nearby structure. Reservations recommended as it was busy during peak hours on the weekend.

An amazing dining experience! Everything on their menu looked incredible, so it was difficult to decide, but our two choices (My husband had Mussels- best I've ever had- and I had the shrimp and Fondue) were absolutely delectable. We will definitely be returning to this gem of a restaurant!

Just became my top1 hidden gem restaurant in dtla, atmosphere, service and food are impeccable. Must order escargots, scallop risotto and rib eye steak! The cheese platter is pretty amazing too. We always bring our own wine and the corkage is very reasonable $25/bottle.

Wonderful experience! It's nice to find another hidden gem in town. Felt like a locals place in the best sort of way and being that I am one as well I felt extra comfortable. It's especially a great date spot but I would go on any occasion honestly. Our waitress was very polite and checked in on us many times. I started with the French Onion Soup which was very good although different than what I'm used to being they used white onions but the surprise actually made the dish more unique. I then followed up with the Beef Burgundy which was rustic and hearty and filled with delicious veggies, pearl onions, and an awesome rich stew. I love inland French cuisine and this dish did not disappoint. Parking can be a bit tricky but there are many pay lots close as well that won't charge more than $10. They don't have many tables inside so I would suggest booking ahead. Very enjoyable experience and I would recommend to any French food fan or anyone looking for a good dinner.

I celebrated my birthday at here and we had a wonderful experience. Everything was sooo delicious. The presentation was also beautiful and you can even see how your dishes were prepared from a TV. Menu is changed every week and we will definitely come back again to try new food.

Very delicious! Came here for a birthday celebration and we had a very nice time. The service was great, food was phenomenal, and overall I'd come here again!

It was pretty late and we did not make a reservation but they were kind to take us in. The steak and fish were really fresh and good. Nice ambience and excellent service. We were really delighted by the whole dining experience at L'APPART.

Can’t wait to go back again to try more ! Never disappointed ;))

Great wine, cute Place. Amazing service but the dishes that day lacked the punch of flavor one would anticipate, falling somewhat flat on the palate. We certainly look forward to our next visit with hopes that the kitchen will return to its previous excellence.

The food was excellent and worthy of 5*. The salmon was terrific and the duck also excellent. The service was quite nice. The atmosphere ok, not exactly like the message conveyed by the photos online. I give 4* however for a few reasons... on the night we were there at 7:30, there were already 5 unavailable items. If you need to be gluten free, there are only a few choices and my first choice was already sold. Our first choice in wine was also unavailable. The neighborhood is not particularly good and there is no valet. A good parking lot exists about one block away.

It’s a must try. It’s like a hole in the wall that just opened not too long ago and the dishes are prepared incredibly well. This is also the first time I’ve seen the preparation for each dish shown live on a TV within the restaurant, super cool experience. The small menu just speaks volumes as the quality of each dish is incredible.

Great service, well prepared dishes with balanced yet sufficiently complex tastes and texture. Wines by the glass selection is not extensive but fun. Being able to watch the good be prepared on the monitor an uncommon experience. Outdoor seating is separated from the sidewalk with a fence to create some distancing from the regular DTLA

Wonderful service, they truly care that you are happy and enjoy your experience. Food is quite good, and the Chef came by to check in. Fun spot, so go already!
