😠 The campus is great and teachers are very nice, but this semester they have canceled on of my classes less than a week before school started making it hard for me to find another class to take. On top of that I tried to get teachers that my friends had and said they were good. Yet, two of my classes... People often mention school, classes, class, time, money, NSCC, student, college,

The campus is great and teachers are very nice, but this semester they have canceled on of my classes less than a week before school started making it hard for me to find another class to take. On top of that I tried to get teachers that my friends had and said they were good. Yet, two of my classes have changed teachers. So when signing up for classes don't plan on having that teacher or that class in general. This also happened to my friend and they canceled all of his classes because they canceled one of his classes that made him go under a full time student kicking him out of school.

I'd give it 0 stars if I could. Let's just say this, there was only 1 professor that actually did her job. Everybody else didn't teach anything. They just have you do everything online, which is a really bad platform. It's confusing, professors don't care, and if you go through the disability program, they wont honor it that well. When trying to talk to your student adviser, mine didn't do it unless you make an appointment, even if they're not doing anything at the time. Appointments can be 2-3 weeks out, when you just need to ask a question. They just want your money in the end. If you try to switch colleges, which I did, they messed up my paperwork 4 times, resulting in me missing a term in my other college because it took them over 2 months to fix. I would never recommend this school to anybody at all. Worst experience in a college. They even have study halls for a specific class you are taking. You are required to be there, which is fine. But if you fail the class that the study hall is there for, both classes you get an F. It's a bad system, and it sets you up for failure.

If you just moved from out of state DO NOT ATTEND THIS COLLEGE. They are the most greedy cold and negligent people I’ve ever met. Took 2 months for them to confirm my info even with my previous college directly emailing them my transcript and calling. And now after over a year of wonderful living here they still won’t classify me as a resident. Instead they suggest I drop a course… What kind of educator would suggest to drop courses? So my options are to drop classes so you can classify me as a resident? NSCC is not quite a scam but be careful and document everything.

Seriously? Valencia Darnell just graded my midterm exam!! May the 2nd 2022 Today we should have the final exam, but I just got my midterm graded.. And still have my other assignments has no grades yet! She never responds to our emails or calls! She get very frustrated when someone asks her something, and she asks us to email her instead. But she doesn't respond to our emails! She takes points off and her feedback is completely useless and no explanation at all?! If she doesn't like her job, she better go work somewhere else! We pay for these courses, but we don't get what we paid for!

I honestly wish it was possible to give business a zero rating. I would not recommend NSCC to anyone. Especially if you are an active working adult trying to finish up your degree. I started the admissions process with this school in January. I was told that I was going to have to do an appeal because the previous year I had to withdraw from classes do to a server car accident that required surgery. Long story short, the communication with the administration is like playing a game of ping pong. No one knows the policy and procedures each department referred me to other departments because no one knew anything. My advisor was not responsive, you never talk to anyone in the financial aid office that can make a decision unless you make a little noise. Expect to always talk to a customer service rep and never get a call back or returned emails. Mind you I started the admissions process in January, April 28, they informed me I would have to come up with the cost of my tuition not even a week before tuition was due. NO one took responsibility or accountability for the poor treatment I was given, their attitude is they can do what they want to mess up your future hopes and dreams and regardless of what they do wrong you will have to pay for it. I meat the Dean and even though she asked for me to email her and keep her in the loop of what is going on she never responded to emails or picked up the phone to call. I guess it all falls down from leadership. I only have four courses left before I can apply to a nursing program, and because of the way they mishandled me and how unclear there policies are I will have to pay for the classes out of pocket, and that's ok if that information was given to me clearly when I first started this process other then giving me false hopes of my classes being covered by TN Reconnect. IF I'm going to have to pay for classes out of pocket I will not give a dime to this school. Thankfully I found another school that has the program I need and the customer service at Volunteer State Community School is world class and worth the drive.

This establishment is like any other, a money vacuum. They tell you that they are here to help you achieve your educational dreams, this is a lie. The establishment does not care about your education they just want to take your personal money and government money. They will make you run through burning loops of fire to graduate.

TERRIBLE!! The financial aid office is a joke. They do not help you when it comes to funding for school. I did my first semester in Summer 2022 and now Fall 2022. Now due to Financial Aid employees ( STUDENTS) not even educated individuals, I will not return to this school next semester. I will take my businesses else were and file a report with the TNDOE and with VA GI Bill to let them know this is not a military friendly or helpful undergraduate college.

I was undecided and a little hesitant to start school. It’s a very overwhelming decision. I filled out for fafsa and listed this school just incase. Kelsey contacted me via email and answered all my questions. I wasn’t even planning on attending this college but I am so glad I listed them on fafsa. I have had the best experience possible. I haven’t been in school in many years and was very scared to start. I have 2 small children at home and I work full time. There was numerous class options to fit my schedule. My classes are on zoom. I got fafsa, TN reconnect, And some other scholarship that I didn’t even know about. Now is The time to go.

A recruitment training is necessary, several students are being rejected when going to the office to get information regarding enrollment and being told they can't attend for not having a Social yet and we know all students can attend even if they don't have one. Please Train your staff and stop giving WRONG information.

I've attended classes at Nashville State off and on for 10 years now, both as a full- and part-time student, and I've always gotten my money's worth. My classes have been, for the most part, in information technology, art and visual communication. With a few exceptions, I've found my instructors to be engaged in teaching, available to their students, and interested in seeing students succeed academically and professionally. Yes, over a period of 10 years I encountered a few who let me down. But the same was true of nearby Middle Tennessee State University, where I spent far more money earning a 4-year degree with fewer practical applications. I've seen a much better return on my investment of time and money from NSCC, where instructors are conscious of the need to also teach students how to earn a living, and I spent less than half what I did at MTSU. If I had it to do over again, I'd attend NSCC first before enrolling in any 4-year school.

I had a great time here, honestly. I met cool people, professors, and learned a lot. Waltzed out with a 3.92. The administration is pretty sharp compared to TSU, where I transferred afterwards.

Overall I had a good experience at NSCC. There was some very helpful teachers. The staff in records, financial aid and administration are very helpful and so much faster than other universities in the area. The facility was nice and kept clean. While the parking in front could get full there was always plenty of parking on the back lot.

Nobody talks about their ESL classes, so I decided to leave my experience for other people who are seeking learning English somewhere at school. If you are thinking about as a non-degree student, PLEASE DON'T. It wastes of your time and money. The classmates had always low motivation. A teacher was eager to speak herself all the time in the class. Trust me.

Very clean and professional campus. Personnel were extremely helpful and there is on-campus security. Would recommend highly.

I think NSCC may be a great start for many people! If you're a first-year college student or a nontraditional student thinking about going back to school, you can take advantage of the low prices and small class sizes here.

This has to be the worst school ever. If you want to actually learn something, find another school. This place should be shut down. Funding is wasted and people are getting degrees and knowing literally nothing about the industry they are going in to. Zero stars if I could.
