The chicken here was absolutely delicious. I had three wings dipped in hot sauce, bacon, and cheese grits. And the greens for my main course. Then came dessert! The peach cobbler was by far some of the peach cobbler I've had .... EVER - NO CAP!

I LOVED this place. I came to Atlanta for an overnight layover and wanted to try Hattie B's since I tried the Nashville location a few years ago. The service was incredible right off the bat. I told them it was my first time there and they walked me through the menu, gave me some recommendations, and even gave me a free drink! I ordered the chicken tenders which came with 2 sides, so I chose greens and cheese and bacon grits. I also got the peach cobbler for dessert. The chicken was tender and juicy, and the sides were flavorful and delicious. I chose mild level of spice which was perfect for me and the sweet tea was the cherry on top of a perfect meal.

Customer service is excellent. Food is mediocre but I can see how some folks would like this “type” of flavor. [I’m a harsh critic of fried chicken having been raised in the deep south with a 90 yr. old great-grandmother who was raised on a chicken farm] Chicken is fried to perfection as far as color and crispness— but bone-in wings were a little bland. Banana pudding tastes like vanilla flavored applesauce and old cookies. No actual bananas or banana flavor present. I would recommend to try at least once. Our visit was friendly and the restaurant was clean and well attended.

The food is delicious! Even the staff was great! The guy up front told me his entire name but I unfortunately forgot it, he was awesome though. Went through asking me what I wanted by asking what I liked, great customer service for sure! The medium sauce is actually really hot to me, but it was so good! The chicken tenders are a really nice size, they didn't skimp on that at all! The baked beans were so good, but the pimento mac n cheese was not that great to me (it was bland & the sauce was really loose). I tried my husband's cheese grits & they were very tasty. We came for the 1st time during a visit to the city & left satisfied. I'd definitely stop in again!

My husband is a super fan of fried chicken and chicken sandwich. Before we visited Atlanta, he insisted Hattie B’s Hot Chicken is his must-go place. Hattie B’s is super popular, especially during peak hours, when we visited and saw a long line. Luckily the line moved fast, so the wait of ordering was not too bad and the staff served everything warm & quickly. We had their signature Hot Chicken Sandwich and Fried Chicken Dark Plate to share. Everything was extremely delicious, especially the sandwich. The chicken was so tender and juicy inside with crunchy layer. We definitely highly recommend people who love fried chicken or chicken sandwiches. My husband was so satisfied and keeps talking about how much he misses Hattie B’ now.

Our 1st time visiting Hattie B's and they did NOT Disappoint!!! The customer service was exceptional! Also, a very nice friendly atmosphere. The chicken and sides were all hot & fresh and very tasty. When we are in town again we will most definitely revisit them again.

First time eating at Hattie B's and the chicken is definitely the star of the show here. Very high prices for the chicken sandwich at $11.50 with no drink and one small side. Chicken flavor is delicious and juicy but they must work on their side dishes. No seasoning in the pimento Mac n cheese, needed some salt. Peach cobbler is good but I tasted more maple syrup than peaches, just tooooooo sweet. The chicken breast is too small for such a high price ($11.50). Message to manager: I know that hot chicken is the star but please add some salt to the Mac n cheese. Will return but will just get the basic crinkle cut fries.

I went to Hattie B’s for the first time today 8/15/2021. It was not what I expected I must admit the chicken was on the money however, the medium was to spicy for me. Moving on to the sides I felt like they were mediocre. I had the coleslaw that everybody raves about it was neither bad or good just basic. The baked beans in my opinion were to tangy and lacking the wow experience I usually get when I eat traditional southern style baked beans. Now the the Mac and cheese was too rich and creamy too. Last but not lease the peach cobbler was not made with good ingredients the crust was mushy and over cooked. What grossed me out the most is when I got the cobbler home it had a thick gel consistency that would not melt under heat. I didn’t know what it was so I didn’t eat it.

It is definitely a must visit when you are in downtown Atlanta to try Hattie B's hot chicken. The location is approximately 10 minutes drive from the city center. There is both indoor and outdoor seating available. There is nothing better than juicy, tender, flavorful chicken. If you order spicy, be careful because it is spicy. Highly recommend.

The banana pudding tastes horrible and old. If I lived closer I would return it. The Mac n Cheese is mushy and slimy not good at all. The tenders are huge and good. Baked beans are good. The green are good but I got more juice than greens unfortunately

Janae's customer service was impeccable! She explained the menu with such ease and grace. I ordered the hot chicken. 🐔 However, it reminded me of a place called "Hot Dave's chicken, Located in Arlington Tx" And personally I don't care for the red seasoning mix, which is what gives the chicken its hot flavor. However, the chicken it's self was fried to perfection. Next time, I will get regular fried chicken.

this spot is no joke! In my humble opinion, this has to be a must visit on any Atlanta itinerary. From the Nashville hot chicken sandwiches to the mouthwatering fries, everything at Hattie B's is stellar. Staff is extremely friendly, food was prepared quickly, and parking is easy to come by as well. I do have to give a heads up about the "What the Cluck?" spiciness level - it's definitely not for the faint-hearted, it's EXTREMELY hot, it creeps up on you and comes with a vengeance. If you're trying to simply enjoy the taste of the amazing chicken at Hattie B's, then definitely go for a more mild spice flavor. Overall, this is a must try in Atlanta.

Must-try hot chicken 🐔. We split three tenders + an add-on tender with two sides…coleslaw and potato salad. The potato salad (pictured) was VERY tasty. I enjoy some spice and the medium was perfect. Any hotter would have been too hot. The chicken was juicy, perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of crunch. There is a large public parking lot next door.

Hattie B’s is one of the best chicken sandwich places I have ever been to. The food is absolutely amazing, the sandwich, fries, and Mac n cheese. The prices were pretty good and the service was amazing. I highly recommend coming here if you are in the Atlanta area.

My problem was mostly with the sides and dessert. The macaroni was very soft and slimy. KFC has better Mac and cheese than this and that one is not that good. The Potato Salad smelled spoiled rotten and I did not eat it because I was scared I would get sick. The banana pudding is just a pudding base with no banana that tasted like pure sugar. The wings were ok but did not have much flavor. The portion sizes were good. We took ours to go so it was soggy when we got home.. fries were not good because we had them to go. The fried pickles were the only thing I liked.

Parking was hard to get into. I had to double back and circle around to get into a parking spot. Hattie B's Fried Chicken was a delightful experience. The chicken was good and juicy and the menu has a variety of heat levels which I recommend the medium to enjoy the dish without your mouth being on fire. The sides, from mac 'n' cheese to coleslaw, complement the main dish wonderfully. The only thing was the chicken could have been a little bit crispier. Even though it was flavorful the chicken skin didn’t provide the right amount of crunch to pair with the juiciness of the chicken. Overall the meal was nice and I would return.

Hands down the best fried chicken I had in a long time! I loved every bite. Got it medium and it was perfectly sauced. The service was quick. The atmosphere was relaxed and a nice mix of tunes. Perfect lunch that left me in a good mood.

Dined in at Hattie’s while visiting Atlanta for the first time and it was DELICIOUS 🍗. The first words out of my mouth when I bit into my grilled chicken was WOW. It was juicy, soft and full of so much flavor - I couldn’t stop eating. The fires are seasoned and come with a little kick, one of the best crinkled fries 🍟I’ve tasted. Will definitely return whenever we visit GA again.

I don’t think this was worth all the hype, but I can say they had excellent customer service. Awesome ambience and quick service, I’m in love with the outside atmosphere. Also, the direct layout is amazing! Food was good, not great. I’ve definitely had better, but willing to try again. Especially something else with more flavor.

This is one of my favorite places to eat in Atlanta. I always get either the mild or hot on the chicken but the regular southern flavor is amazing as well. On this day I got the breast, wing, leg and thigh meal with fries and greens. I tried the black eye peas for the first time and I didn’t realize it was a cold salad which I didn’t like at all, just my preference. Black eye peas should definitely be hot, but anyway besides that this place is amazing.

Some of the best fried chicken, and Nashville hot chicken, that I’ve ever had! The breading was light and crispy and had such a great flavor. We ordered the tenders mild which was the most comfortable spice level for us. We also ordered the sandwich with the damn hot level which was perfect for my boyfriend who loves spicy food! I’m so happy we stumbled upon this location and if I see another one, I’ll definitely be stopping by!

There's not enough good things to say about Hattie B's. This happens to be some of the best hot chicken I've ever had, and the long lines are definitely worth the wait. I always get the hot chicken, and it tastes the same every time. It's the same level of heat with the same crispiness and juiciness. I also get the pimento mac & cheese, which I didn't think I was going to like at first call but it goes great with the chicken. The greens are seasoned great, and I love that you're able to buy beer at this location. There's also a lot of seating on the inside as well as the outside, And there's a great outdoor space where you can play games, chill out on on the lawn, and eat a really good meal.

Hattie B's doesn't miss. I love this location by the Little Five Points in ATL. Nice friendly staff. Indoor and outdoor seating. Every visit the chicken is seasoned to perfection. The mac & cheese was not only creamy and delicious but it was hot until the last bite. The fries were hot & crispy. If you love honey mustard as much as I do, try Hattie B's. The freshly made lemonade was so good, I had to take a cup to go. Perfect meal.

This is a very popular chicken joint. We ordered on-line but still had to wait 10 minutes for our order. The line outside was 20 persons long at least. We had a family pack that had 18 tenders, fries, collards, Mac and cheese. Baked beans and for desert…Banana pudding peach peach cobbler. Food was excellent. We ordered a gallon of tea that was missed. Ranch dressing a little watery. Parking is challenging at any time.

Chicken sandwich was pretty good! The chicken was a bit firm though, just a tad overcooked. The seasoning (hot) was on target. Fries were delicious. I'll definitely come back again, and hopefully next time the chicken is cooked better.

As an Atlanta local, this is one of my favorite spots! I also get the chicken with baked beans and mac&cheese, but recently tried the chicken sandwich. It is a new favorite! It did not disappoint at all. The first sandwich I got was a little hard and as soon as I mentioned it to staff, they brought me another chicken breast out that was cooked to perfection. Juicy and seasoned. Their food is always seasoned very well, which is a must for me! I love this spot and usually probably go every two weeks.

Finally made it to this place and ordered some take out. The food was delicious. I ordered the hot flavor and it did have a proper kick. I would say if you’re not into eating spicy food, don’t go past the hot flavor. Had no complaints about the chicken. Was perfectly cooked with perfect heat level. Highly recommend!

A must go to, every time I'm in Atlanta. Chicken is amazing with several levels of heat (no heat also available for kids). Sides are great, and the service is above and beyond. The server we has was on point, friendly, and very entertaining. I wish I could remember his name.

  • 5/5 Kwonye 2 years ago on Google
The chicken was favorable all the way into the meat, while that was tender, juice, cook to a very delicious meal with a nice crunch of season skin on the outside of the chicken. even with the heat 🔥 to a minimum it was a good spice but not burning lips hot. The sauce that come in the pack didn't have any stance "Wow" favor moment but my fries where part of Top 10 favorite fries!

  • 5/5 Andrea U. 10 months ago on Google
The staff was amazing! Got medium chicken wings, fries, Mac & cheese, and peach cobbler! The chicken was very tasty but not as hot as expected so could have went up to next spice level and gotten hot . The pimento Mac & cheese was some of the best I’ve ever eaten! It was so creamy! The peach cobbler was great as well. Would definitely recommend!

My first time going and everything went smooth. I would give this place a solid 5 star rating but they messed up our orders. We were supposed to get the regular “hot” chicken but we ended up getting a mild chicken sandwich + the super cluckin hot chicken sandwich, that cluckin hot I was not ready for. No one ever informed us about how hot this chicken was. It kinda ruined my taste buds for the remainder of the day.

  • 5/5 Raeshonna C. 2 years ago on Google
The food here at Hattie Bs is REALLY GOOD! The chicken is always made fresh and seasoned well. I usually get mild bc is hot it too hot for me! The portion sizes are generous and there usually isn't too bad of a wait. I've ordered online for takeout and eaten in store and it's always a good experience. Also, get the potato salad! That's usually a dish that I'm weary about but it's one of the BEST potato salads I've had that's not prepared by my mom or grandma!

  • 4/5 Eriel L. 2 years ago on Google
Well flavored thick chicken. Collard greens were very good. Peach cobbler crust was a bit soggy, that may not bother some people. I would recommend getting atleast mild spice, the plain was too plain.

  • 5/5 Chad P. 2 years ago on Google
Best Nashville Hot Chicken in... Atlanta? You read that right. The lines outside the restaurant don't lie. There's typically anywhere from 20-50 people in line for this chicken. Personally I prefer to get the chicken tenders and I typically get it at medium or hot depending on how spicy I want it. Most people know it for the "shut the cluck up" which is the hottest spice rating you can order it and it will slay even the most seasoned spice tourists. Their crinkle fries are great. I would avoid the potato salad as it's just not that great.

  • 5/5 Christine M. 8 months ago on Google
Incredible chicken. I’m visiting from out of town for work and have ordered this to my hotel two nights in a row. Spices in the “hot” chicken are delicious. Didn’t love the pimento Mac & cheese personally.

  • 5/5 Mark M. 8 months ago on Google
I came here for lunch when they first opened up. So I had to come back again to try the hot chicken sandwich. I asked the cashier about the different levels. Mild no spice Medium (hot wing spice) Hot (Jalepeno spice) I opted for medium but will go with Hot next time because the medium didn't have any kick but was a good flavor. I like it a little hotter but not overpowering. My side was the fries and they were good. Service was excellent and loved the shirts the employees wore too.

  • 4/5 Melina Y. 8 months ago on Google
I was pleased, but my order wasn't mind-blowing. I ordered the wing platter at medium spiciness. The wings were good and the meat was juicy - what was somewhat lacking for me was the breading on the wings themselves. The flavor was there, but because the breading is on the thin side, the flavor didn't come through very clearly. This is an issue of preference. Other people might prefer it this way. I'm willing to go again and give the chicken sandwich a try. That seemed to be a pretty popular item and more of a "go-to" option for a lot of folks, at least at this location. I ordered the Mac and cheese and black eyed pea salad as sides. Again, tasty, and solid quality. Just not "sell your soul" tasty. Altogether, the platter was certainly more than enough food for the price.

Don’t go to the one at Howell Mills. They don’t have a good cook there. On this particular night at this location, the food was amazing. The chicken was fresh and hot, the greens were nice and seasoned, and the pimento mac & cheese was uber creamy. The peach cobbler was not frozen. The cobbler I got at Howell Mills was FROZEN and the kid who served it was more worried about his fake girlfriend than the quality of my food.

  • 4/5 A B. 9 months ago on Google
Ordered a few sides to eat. The black eye peas were extremely good, the peach cobbler and banana pudding though very sweet(extremely good), the cole slaw did not have anything amazing to it and last but not least the Mac and Cheese was not anything exciting nor amazing. People rave about how awesome this place is, however the meat may be the only thing worth your money, which is far from cheap. Price wise: for the sides portions given(small container which was not filled to the top nor packed into the container)it wasn’t worth the price point. As seen in the image the dessert containers are bigger then the sides.

We went to this location on a Saturday around 9:30 p.m.. There was plenty of outdoor seating available, there was a bit of a line however it move pretty quick. When they bought our 3 piece mild wings to the table they were hot, fresh and nicely seasoned. The coleslaw was good and the fries were also fresh and hot. Nice place to visit for a quick meal.

Hattie B’s is one of the best hot chicken spots in the entire US. I will fight anyone on this. Chicken is immaculate, sides are mouth watering, and the banana pudding is decadent. You can’t beat this place. I don’t give many 5 stars, but I would give this 10 stars if I could. 9.8/10

  • 3/5 Shivika S. 1 year ago on Google
May be the place was too hyped for me but I got here with Hugh expectations and it totally fell flat. We got a medium heat sandwich and the dirty fries and both items were okay. There wasn’t much flavour but more heat. I do appreciate their friendly service and seating both inside and outside.
