Bus stop

😠 This place is terrible now. All the animals most people want to see are no longer there. The lions are dead, and the bears are dead. The only real exotic animal we saw was the 1 half dead tiger they got. Half of the attractions are either closed or under construction 🙄 So if all you want to... People often mention animals, closed, family,

This place is terrible now. All the animals most people want to see are no longer there. The lions are dead, and the bears are dead. The only real exotic animal we saw was the 1 half dead tiger they got. Half of the attractions are either closed or under construction 🙄 So if all you want to see are birds, squirrels, and farm animals, then go ahead and go. I can't believe I spent $150 on a family pass. Wish I knew that all the exotic animals are no longer there😒. They don't even give you a map anymore to know where you are going, and you will not have any cell service throughout the park no matter what carrier you have. It's kind of like going to a car show and then they tell you sorry we have no Lamborghinis Ferraris or Porsches anymore but look at this cute little Hyundai hatchback that just came in🤣

LA zoo winter light decorations. It's a little underwhelming, but fun nonetheless. Great to get out and walk after all the holiday eating!

Beautiful light displays + music for the holidays! I was hoping to some animals but I know they were sleeping. 😅 We had the 8pm time slot but there was a massive line to get in and didn’t realize the park would close as early as it did. It was fun and something to do once, not sure if I’d return again though.

A small and compact one. They're putting away big animals at 4 pm and closing at 5 pm immediately during the summer. Still a fun place to go for the little kids I guess. But not in the summer!

Beautiful habitats for wonderful animals. Easy enough to walk in a few hours. People are not greatly considerate of others space. Some places and animals are closed due to COVID.

After being to the San Diego Zoo I had low expectations for this zoo but I was pleasantly surprised. There's a large variety of animals and they all seemed to be in nice enclosures. It's not very flat so I would recommend good walking shoes. Overall, it was a fun adventure and it's a great activity for the family. We would definitely go back if we're in the area again.

We visited LA Zoo on the 26th December. Things started off okay as we saw all the lovely Christmas decorations for the light show. We saw some seals and meerkats. All good. Then came a run of no shows which brought the mood right down. I also want to say that some of the enclosures looked a little neglected. The animals looked sad and we commented to each other about it. Giant Andean Vultures with 10ft wingspans stuck in little boxes. It was sad to see. Here’s another thing if you are going to cater for visitors by providing food, first make sure the food stalls are open and then make sure they can cope with the volume of visitors. The queues were crazy long. So we didn’t bother and at that point we threw in the towel and headed out. 2 stars must try harder. I can live without seeing animals in captivity if they looked like some of the ones I saw today.

Great way to spend a day. Excellent exhibits and friendly staff. Plenty of open tables if you want to bring your own food. Also the park just a mile south has a great carousel if you are bringing the kids.

Sanctuary in the middle of Los Angeles. Beautiful California winter weather to walk among wild animals. Pros: price, free parking, giraffes, trees Cons: many empty exhibits, bathroom cleanliness, food options

It's almost as if this zoo is trying to go out of business. Some enclosures have been closed for over 3 years since I first came back to LA. Bird theater has been closed for just as long. They sent away the hippos. The beautiful carousel is only open on weekends even during holidays and summer but the time share booth is always staffed with multiple people.

Not a bad zoo. It's definitely showing it age and needs lots of upgrades in the zoo.

Nice zoo but confusing layout. The flow of the zoo did not make sense to us but overall had a great time.

Only $22 for adult entry which is very cheap for a zoo this size. Having said that was disappointed, exhibits are quite old and tired looking, expected more from a city zoo the size of Los Angeles.

Went during the Pandemic where they are doing scheduled entrance to maintain social distancing which is nice, but ore than half the exhibits were either closed, or you couldn't get close enough to see anything

We always live the zoo. We got an annual pass for the family. Our 3 year old has a blast, well worth the money. Great way to spend a day with the family doing a low tech activity. The zoo Christmas lights were cool

The day we went several attractions and animal areas where closed. We where surprised by how many areas didn’t seem to have animals anymore and saw very little staff interaction with the areas that did have any.
