Stumbled across this gem over the weekend and it was amazing. It gives off speakeasy vibes and has a delicious cup of coffee. Taylor and Rachel made us feel welcomed immediately and took the time to chat with us. Definitely adding Buddies to the list of my favorite coffee shops in Williamsburg!

Buddies’s shares its location with a gorgeous community space by Sharks Pool Club. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, and shared more about the purpose of the shop to bring people in the neighborhood together. Def a great spot to check out if you’re looking for good vibes! They have pool tables, a yoga room, and even open tables for working

Definitely my favorite coffee shop of the many in this neighborhood. Taylor and Rachel have created such a chill and welcoming place—and the drinks are great of course. All custom roasted beans, handmade drinks, and excellent vibes. Would recommend, 11/10.

A cute and cozy coffee spot that’s good for grab and go. I liked their latte, the coffee flavour was strong. Thought the touch to use the classic Greek cups was really cute.

Unexpectedly stumbled upon this place. The drinks are next level incredible, so good I bought a latte, walked around, finished it and had to get a second latte before I left the neighborhood. I dream about this coffee and can't wait to travel back just to have it again. The owners are friendly and seriously passionate about what they're doing. The little bear pastry was also delicious and adorable. A MUST if you're in the area.

Checked this spot out whilst visiting from London. We’ve had coffee from all over the city and across the world and can comfortably say this is some of the best we’ve ever had. Such a lovely guy who owns/runs the place too. Will def be back when we’re next in town and will be recommending it to others!

Wow! I don't know what he's doing to the beans here but the coffee has such a rich depth of flavour. A phenomenal cup of coffee and well worth a visit if you're in the neighborhood. Thanks for the great drink!

LOve this spot! Great coffee roasted by them - cold drinks, colson baked treats and amazing crew (woman latinx roaster & skater babes)

Ok real review - Taylor and Rachel have a great thing going. Wandered in when they first opened and was greeted by the best duo coffee has ever seen. Genuinely kind and hilarious people serving good coffee. That’s all I want from my local coffee shop.

This is a cute spot! The atmosphere is really cute. It’s rustic and modern and it does give speakeasy vibes. It’s what someone would picture a cute Brooklyn cafe to look like. The coffee itself was good quality as well. I got an iced honey almond milk latte and it was really good, the taste of the espresso itself was nice and bold. It was a little pricey for how small the coffee was, and I’m assuming it’s the only size (because I wasn’t asked what size I wanted). It’s 14oz, which is quite small compared to my preference, but I do think it’s good coffee.

Hands down best coffee in Brooklyn! I’d even say best coffee and cold brew I’ve ever had!

They are the best! Love their oat matcha latte and such a cute vibe! The owners run and work the shop and they are so personal and friendly. They are also NYC natives... Which I love. I'm always finding an excuse to go back!

Very straightforward coffee shop . I loved that they offer two options of oat milk (minor figures and Oatly). Coffee was good.

Great frothing! Friendly barista. I didn’t see any memes though — maybe they disappeared with the pandemic.

Extremely cool mom + pop coffee spot where the owners care about you just as much as they care about their coffee (a lot).

Amazing coffee (best that I tried in one month in NYC) and lovely service!! Also make sure to try their almond croissant - you won’t regret it ;-)

The reviews weren’t kidding- this was one of the best lattes i can remember from a man with the sweetest energy i’ve come across in a while. The space is tinyy, so don’t expect seating. But dumbo park is close, so take your coffee for a walk and enjoy it with a view ✌️

Our favourite coffee stop on our trip! The owners were so friendly, remembered our orders the next day, and were just all around great people that made you want to go back. Great coffee, great local pastries. Highly recommend!

I love this place so much (and their gluten free cookies) that I wish it had more space to hang inside (there is only one table). Really welcoming neighborhoody vibe with quality coffee.

Fantastic little coffee shop! The owner was fun to chat with and even suggested some things to checkout in Brooklyn. The espresso was very well made and the tahini chocolate chip cookie was the perfect mix of salty and sweet.

The absolute best coffee in the area ✨

Great little coffee shop! The owner prepared our ice coffees and we enjoyed the different flavor options. Cardamom was a new one that we enjoyed! Nice owner and spot. Would recommend!

Delightful little shop, great for a coffee to go. Cappuccino was delicious and the artwork done on their cups is a nice touch. There are a handful of tables, but it might be hard to find a place to sit. Def recommend grabbing and going to Domino park :)

Superb black brewed coffee. They roast their own beans, a blend of beans. Sweet, flavourful, burst of berries.

Great cold brew! My husband and I came here and was recommended to try the cold brew with the agave. It did not disappoint- it was light yet full of flavor. We ended up enjoying the cold brew that we walked out and came back to buy 2 bags of beans (espresso and drip). I’m glad to have found buddies coffee!! It will be our definite coffee shop when we’re in Williamsburg!

Buddies is the BEST EVER! Rachel and Taylor are incredible at what they do, from the coffee they roast locally in Brooklyn, to the welcoming atmosphere they create for everyone who walks through the door. Visiting Buddies is a weekend ritual we look forward to every single week. Pro tip: a bag of Buddies beans makes for a great gift 👏

Once I witnessed Blank Street sucking BUDDIE’s toes! The Mayors of Grand Street hold office here. Great coffee

As a home espresso enthusiast I can tell you that espresso isn't easy. The world's best equipment will only take you part of the way there. Developing the right roast, dialing in the right profile, and then caring enough to make sure you get that right 1000 times a day is what sets you apart. Thanks for an incredible cortado! It's one of the best coffees I've ever had with subtle notes of toffee I've never experienced. I hope to come back soon and have another.

This is the best hidden gem coffee shop in Williamsburg! Not only is their coffee amazzzinggg but owners are always there to greet you with the warmest welcome. Their cold brew is no joke! Best way to get my day started.

What an absolute gem of a place! Quality coffee, exceptional service in such a quaint place. I cannot recommend Buddies enough. The couple running the show are adorable too!

I’m lucky enough to live a block from this place and it never fails to cheer me up in the morning with great coffee, perfect pastries, and awesome service!

Friendly pours, and excellent flavor. Wash it down with an assortment of freshly baked Pandora Bakery donuts, from the Bronx. This large, airy cafe is well lit and dog friendly. Occupying a space that is shared with a pool hall, and around the corner from a vet (so it’s dog-friendly). Only in New York!
