I couldn't have had a better experience with my parathyroid surgery today! There is a reason why this place is internationally renowned!! I came from San Diego and met other patients from Washington state and Egypt who'd also made the long journey for superior care! Dr Jamie Mitchell and all of my nurses were outstanding, personable and efficient. As a physician and surgeon myself I did my research and am so glad I made the choice to come to this center. Do not look anywhere else!

14 years ago, I had my first panic attack in Europe. Doctors told me that I have anxiety due to chest pain, heart palpitations 120 beats per minute, sweating, dizziness, and they prescribed me antidepressants. A year later, when I returned to America to get antidepressants, I had to do a stress test and visit a cardiologist. The cardiologist told me that my system is accelerated 75 percent more than in normal people and that I should not take antidepressants because they are not healthy, but to use beta blocker metoprolol tart. That will reduce my rapid heart rate and regulate the pressure and I won't have panic attacks anymore. I used beta blockers for two years and when I was in a different state I stopped using them. After that I didn't use any tablets anymore just to get used to not having to deal with all the symptoms and it became normal to me because I didn't know any better. Later I had a sinus infection and used antibiotics that destroyed my intestinal flora and I got C.diff. In the emergency room when I did a cat scan they found that I had a mass on the adrenal gland. After that I went to the specialist and she told me she knew the best Dr. Tobias Carling and he will remove my tumor in just 20 minutes. And I called and made an appointment. Doctor Tobias Carling scheduled an operation for me on 9-21-2022. Doctor Tobias Carling is very knowledgeable and explained everything to me about the operation. On day of surgery I was a little nervous but trusted his expertise and knowledge. It was my first operation. When I arrived at the hospital for endocrine surgery. All the staff were top notch. Everyone was kind and understanding. The surgery went well. . Prior to discharge Dr. Carling visited me, he provided me with after care information and wished me well. I didn't even have any severe pain, maybe from 1-10 I would say 3. Today is the second day, I have already arrived home and I feel great. I no longer feel an accelerated vital system, and for the first time after 14 years, my heartbeat is 74 beats per minute. Now I feel like a calm sea, and all this time there was a storm in my body. ll. I was blessed to have met him. I would highly recommend him to everyone. He is a brilliant surgeon! Absolutely the best! Thank you Doctor Tobias Carling!!!

Best hospital experience ever! The staff is so wonderful. Very attentive, not just to me but to my husband as well who was their to support me. They keep you in the loop about every step of the process. I meet the entire surgical team before the procedure and spoke with the surgeons after. The surgeon even called me that evening to check in and make sure all is well. The hospital was immaculate. The whole process is very efficient and streamlined. I truly cannot say enough great things about this place. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone. They are the best!

Our experience at the Norman Parathyroid Center and Hospital for Endocrine surgery was truly exceptional. The initial consultation and preoperative information was comprehensive, organized, and answered all questions and concerns. Every step of the surgical experience was fully explained and carefully executed by extremely well trained, experienced doctors, nurses, and staff. The specialization in endocrine surgery and high volume of cases certainly improves the experience and outcome. Dr. Watkins explained the methodical approach which echoed the center's experience and procedure. He was efficient but spent all the time needed to explain the procedure, informed consent, his findings during the operation, and the post operative expectations. Dr. Letzring was our anesthesiologist. He explained the entire process and reduced our preoperative anxiety. Our anesthesia experience and postoperative pain management was exceptional. The dedication and expertise all doctors, nurses, and staff of the Hospital for Endocrine Surgery deserve our highest recommendation.

My mom had surgery here today and the experience from start to finish was amazing! We knew exactly what to expect every step of the way. Our surgeon Dr Watkins spent lots of time explaining the procedure and the results afterwards. He went above and beyond the call of duty to make our mom feel extraordinary.

It was an excellent experience. We were delayed because of weather Dr Rhodes went out of his way to accommodate us , he was such a great Dr we so appreciated he realized we had an important family situation . He took great care of me. The staff was very nice and they were very efficient. The web site works well and helped to make our experience easy. Thank you for making our experience feel safe and easy.

I am a nurse with 19 years of experience in the operating room since young graduate; 16 of them in Puerto Rico performing all kinds of surgeries. I had always dreamed of coming to the United States to practice as a nurse. I began looking for work and acquired my license endorsement for the state of Florida. There were many reasons why I decided to fly out of my comfort zone leaving family and friends for the well-being of our children. I get the opportunity to start in January 2021 in a trauma hospital in which I appreciate the great experience and knowledge I gained. On a recommendation from a colleague, I applied to this hospital from which I was recruited. At first I didn't get used to it because I always worked under pressure and a lot of stress and here everything is different. I realized that God opens doors for you and places you simply where he needs his time is perfect. I love my profession, I love it because we are a family, both my colleagues and the surgeons I work with. Being chosen to work here has been a blessing to be able to serve patients and families from all over the world is great. I love my work environment. I love that my patients feel safe and confident at all times. Making each day uniquely different providing my services with love, empathy and dedication.

Please do not hesitate to travel to Tampa for Adrenal surgery. Dr. Carling is the greatest of all time and well worth the trip for his mini-back scope procedure. Everything and everyone is state-of-the-art from start to finish. After 20 years of struggling he knew exactly what to do. He has given me my life back and I am forever grateful!

My husband just had surgery here and there really are no words to adequately praise Dr. Clayman, Dr. Roy, Dr. Walsh and their entire group of employees. Our experience was nothing short of perfect. Dr. Clayman personally answered various emails we sent before our visit and gave us peace of mind that we will never forget. If you are ever faced with a thyroid issue, this is the place to go. Test results, using state of the art equipment are back in hours rather than days or weeks. We traveled from Michigan and had no issues whatsoever. You will not regret your choice if you choose these doctors to care for yourself or someone you care about.

To begin, this place by far deserves more than 5 stars. Coming to this facility was hands down the best decision I have ever made in my life. I will recommend this place to everyone and anyone I know and don't know who struggles with endocrine problems. I recommend anyone struggling with endocrine problems to come here regardless if you are from the area or Florida. Make the drive or flight and come here, you will not be disappointed with the quality of care and attention you are given. The best doctors and best staff are hands down HERE! My doctor, Dr. Suh was absolutely incredible, he is a master at his craft. Maria, the nurse practitioner is also incredible. No one is in a rush here to get you out, they answer all and any questions you may have, and you feel at home and at ease the moment you walk in. I am so beyond happy with the results and most importantly, no scar! A few hours after my surgery I went out to dinner with my family, and lunch the next day. It was like I had nothing done. I can go on and on about this place, I am truly beyond happy with everything from start to finish! Please do not hesitate to come here!

5 huge stars to Dr. Carling and his entire staff at this Endocrine Hospital located in Tampa Fl. I encourage all to check Dr. Carling out on his Webb page and read his expert advice. Then follow up with a phone call to schedule an appointment. His care team and hospital staff will be with you every step of the way, and he will definitely give you the most advanced Treatment available. I know this because I just completed my Adrenal surgery yesterday and well on my way to recovery.

This facility is nothing short of amazing. The team they have working there and their customer service focus is evident the minute you walk in the door. Our consultation there a few weeks ago, and our surgery today were perfect from start to finish. I don’t know if I’ve been to many places I could said that about in any field. We had a wonderful experience here and would highly recommend it to anyone in a heartbeat!

My wife has recently undergone parathyroid surgery under the care of Dr. Daniel Ruan. We have nothing but the highest praise for Dr. Ruan and staff at the brand new facility on Webb in Tampa. As a former surgeon myself, I can attest to the excellent quality of care and perfect results in a truly exceptional setting. We appreciate Dr. Ruan’s knowledge and expertise and most highly recommend him to care for your surgical needs. Our experience has been outstanding and we hold Dr. Ruan in the highest regard!

If you need to have surgery for a thyroid, parathyroid, or adrenal condition, this is the place to do it. I recently had my right adrenal gland removed by Dr. Carling due to a pheochromocytoma and could not have asked for a better experience. The facilities are new and super clean, every staff person I encounter was friendly and kind, and the food was excellent!

Brand-new and beautiful! It's a full-service hospital that was built specifically to service patients with thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal tumors. Also, since this is an endocrine surgery hospital, there are no COVID patients. This is the safest (and nicest!) place to have your parathyroid operation!

If all healthcare were delivered as efficiently and with such compassion as it was at Hospital for Endocrine Surgery there would be greater patient satisfaction and better patient outcomes. The best decision I ever made was to go there for my parathyroid surgery.

I had adrenal gland surgery here, which was performed by Dr. Tobias Carling, and this hospital is definitely 5 stars. From the moment I walked in until the next day when I left, I was treated with kindness from everyone that I encountered. My two nurses Maureen and Sheri were the best Nurses! They were there within seconds if I pushed the Nurse button. They were very caring, personable and concerned about my recovery. They both made my stay overnight very comfortable. I would 100% recommend Hospital for Endocrine Surgery!

I travelled from Australia to Tampa to have a tumor removed from my adrenal gland at the Hospital for Endocrine Surgery in March 2022. This is the best hospital I have ever seen – second to none. The staff are incredible. The facilities are modern and very well laid out. The costs are extremely reasonable. Being Australian, I was a self-funded patient. The hospital gave me a good faith estimate, which made it easier to budget for my procedure. A few days prior to checking in, a nurse rang me to go over things on the phone. He answered all my questions, without rushing. The check-in process was streamlined and very efficient. At check-in, the hospital provided a sit-down meal for the guests of patients. This meant that my brother was able to go and have breakfast whilst I had my CT scan. I believe the hospital also provided him with a sit-down meal for lunch as well. The preparation for surgery was efficient, all staff seemed to know exactly what was happening, and there was none of the confusion that I’ve often seen in medical settings. As soon as my surgery was complete, the surgeon rang my brother from the operating room to let him know everything was okay. After surgery, the nurses were virtually tripping over themselves to make sure patients were comfortable. One of the staff made a little elephant from my bath towel and left it by my bed. Another nurse made a special effort to make me a cup of tea when I came up from surgery. Such sweet gestures. This is a great hospital.

Amazing staff … so efficient, yet took time to understand the special circumstances for my daughter’s surgery. I am grateful for the care she received here. Unfortunately our home state suffers from terrible leadership/policies, so healthcare there is horrible. So thankful for the Clayman Thyroid Center and their outstanding program. As a former patient myself, I give them the highest accolades for their excellent care.

The patient experience at the Hospital for Endocrine Surgery is nothing short of incredible. From the moment we walked in to the escort we received on the way out, I couldn’t have been more pleased. The facility and the staff were 5 star. My care from Dr. Tobias Carling and his NP Meredith LaRue was both heart felt and professional. And the results from my surgery were as close to perfect as it gets. A huge thanks to everyone at HES!

The entire staff was excellent. They made sure I knew what was happening at all times. They very caring from preop to the surgical sweet. When I woke up from anesthesia, my nurse to fantastic care of me. I’d love to thank each one by name, but there so many wonderful people I couldn’t remember all their names, but each one was exceptional in their own right. Finally to Dr. Walsh, thank you for all you did for me. Mine may have not been the most challenging of procedures, but I feel and look like a new man. Thank you again.

This facility is spotless. The entire staff was very caring and showed much concern for its patients. Everyone went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. Dr Carling is very patient and explained everything that needed to be done. He took his time and answered all my questions about removing a tumor from my adrenal gland. If you need anything adrenal or thyroid related, this is the place to go. Meredith LaRue the PA was also amazing. She followed up with all aftercare instructions and explained everything I needed to do. I will be returning for another procedure on my thyroid with Dr Walsh. This facility deserves more than five stars.

Dr. Carling and his team are amazing. I would gladly give them all 10 stars. As soon as I found out I had Pheochromocytoma & my doctor referred me to Dr. Carling for surgery, I completed the online form and was contacted immediately by his staff. They were very efficient, friendly and encouraging as I went through the initial process. Dr. Carling called me prior to surgery and went through a thorough explanation of what the procedure would be like, answering all my questions. The Hospital for Endocrine Surgery is a beautiful facility, they gave me a private room and treated me & my husband like family. They had a recliner for him and fed both of us – felt like we were at a 5 star Resort. The staff made sure I was okay and Dr. Carling came in before and after surgery to check on me and answer any questions I might have. I appreciated his expertise as well as the friendly and caring nurses and staff on site. After the surgery they made sure I had everything I needed to recover at home and called to check on me a few days later. I went through the mini back scope adrenalectomy operation with 3 incisions. The tumor was just under 2” & they gave me a photograph of it. Most of my adrenal gland was saved. I went back to my desk job after just one week at home. I love the care, compassion and respect that I received. I have never before had surgery where I didn’t get sick when waking up from the anesthesia, but they made sure they did everything they could to avoid that – & I did not get nauseated at all. Thank God I only had to drive 2 hours to get to Tampa but I definitely see why people travel from all over the world to seek Dr. Carlings care. There is some pain involved in the recovery, but most of it can be reduced by icing and Extra Strength Tylenol. I stayed a little puffy and swollen after surgery for about a week, but that is to be expected. Dr. Carling and the entire staff are phenomenal! From the moment I arrived through the recovery process. The entire process is extremely well organized. I am so very grateful for Dr. Carling and the entire staff at Hospital for Endocrine Surgery. Thank you & God Bless each of you!

This facility is TOP NOTCH. From the second you walk in the door until the private shuttle drops you off and your hotel, this place treats you like royalty! I did not encounter 1 person who was not smiling or a pleasure to interact with. I literally told my husband they must be pumping happy air into that facility! Very clean and all of the staff were excellent to deal with. Everything was explained and organized! They even take care of your care taker while you’re in surgery by feeding them in the cafe! 1000 percent would recommend this facility.

The hospital is clean and staff is friendly. The lighting is a bit much for a calming environment. The staff was prompt with paperwork and information. The pre-op area is clean and organized the staff was welcoming and thorough in their preparation. Dr. Ung (anesthesiologist) was personable and explained procedure as he was doing it. Meredith the APRN was friendly and explained all the steps and processes. Dr. Carling called from the OR with an update then came again to the room after procedure to check on my spouse. The nurses and staff were all friendly and thorough, always thanking us for letting them provide care. Hands down the best hospital experience I’ve ever had and I’m a RN as well. I highly Recommend this facility and team for endocrine procedures.

After a failed parathyroid surgery almost six years ago God answered prayer in leading me to Tampa for a redo. From the initial consultation with Dr. Ruan to being rolled out the door after successful surgery to remove the formerly undetected gland with attached adenoma I could not have dreamed of having a better experience. The unsurpassed level of professionalism and the personal attention from every staff member we encountered was phenomenal. “Best in the world” is more than bragging rights for this facility, it is the truth. I could go on and on with praise, but PTL for this one and only “Hospital for Endocrine Surgery.”

The staff, nurses, and doctors treated my family like their own. The hospital is so beautiful and was a great experience. From the surgery to recovery to staying overnight, my family received exceptional care. I would recommend them to anyone

I had a 5 star experience recently at the Hospital for Endocrine Surgery. My intake before the operation was organized and seamless. All the staff were professional and friendly. The facility was beautiful and state of the art, with the appropriate facilities to accommodate for the appropriate imaging tests that needed to be performed prior to surgery. The team that cared for me was very communicative and explained everything that would happen during the procedure and what to expect after. I traveled from Connecticut with my family after watching some videos of Dr. Carling on YouTube. I saw some of his patient’s testimonials. I took it one step further and asked my endocrinologist if she knew of him and they were actually former colleagues. This convinced me that I had to proceed with my left adrenalectomy with the Hospital for Endocrine Surgery. I’m so grateful for the care that I received and I would recommend Dr. Carling to anyone in need of this type of treatment.

I came into Clayman from Atlanta after not finding any surgeons that specialized in thyroid only. I knew I had a suspicious nodule but was not confirmed with cancer. I met Dr Walsh, Dr Ray and Dr Clayman for the first time the day I was going to have the nodule removed. All 3 were present during my surgery. They removed 1/2 my thyroid and confirmed while I was on the operating table that my lymph nodes were clean. The next day it was confirmed that my right side was indeed cancerous but that they were confident they removed it all. I am still digesting the news that I had cancer and the very next day it was gone. I cant say enough positive things about the entire experience. First class in every detail. Weirdly I remember all the nurse staffs names despite how nervous I was. They were OVER the top kind and attentive. Thank you Liz, John, and Angela. am forever grateful for finding these fine doctors and hospital and while not particularly religious- BLESSED that this was found early.

What a great hospital with a wonderful staff! I had surgery to remove a large parathyroid gland and I’m happy to say that my surgeon, Dr. Drew Rhodes is the best! He personally called me to explain the entire surgery and gave me instructions on what I needed to do to set up the date and time of surgery. His entire staff at the hospital were super attentive to every detail, before and after the operation. If you need surgery for parathyroidism, this is the place to go!

Thank you Dr. Carling and team, and all the experienced staff at this hospital. I had my surgery in February 2022 with Dr. Carling at this new endocrine surgery hospital. Check-in was quick, and the hospital is so beautiful and brand new. Dr. Carling was able to perform my surgery a minimally invasive way. Before going to surgery, I met with Dr. Carling and read the information on his website; I really feel like he gave me the information I needed to feel comfortable going into the procedure and understand what would happen during and after the surgery. I stayed the night at the hospital for monitoring and so they could test that everything was working properly as expected. Dr. Carling followed up with me several times in the hospital after my surgery, and I received a couple pictures of the mass they removed. The hospital staff was also great all around - the nurses (pre-and post-op), nurse assistants, and even the lab personnel who came to draw blood (several other times I've had my blood drawn at other places, they seem to have trouble, so I was expecting this to be a pain again; but this gentleman Paolo drew it three separate times so quick and painlessly). I am thankful to have been referred to Dr. Carling and have my surgery here; he and everyone at this hospital has a healthy amount of experience under their belts, they all understand what they are doing and how to care for their patients. I highly recommend.

I will always be very grateful to Dr. Carling for having performed my right adrenal gland surgery with great professionalism. His attention, explanation and correct criteria, from the day he received me in his office until the day after the operation, gave me security and confidence to face this surgery. I also want to highlight his simplicity, kindness and his always willingness to answer each of my questions and doubts. His wonderful medical team, very good care and always aware of my recovery. To Meredith LaRue, who was always close, and who later contacted me to inquire about my progress at home. My recovery has been wonderful, I feel very good, just as Dr. Carling explained to me. I would also like to mention the atmosphere of respect, education, cordiality and magnificent treatment at the Hospital, from the man who greeted us at the entrance, and who I had the opportunity to see again when I left the next day and thank him, to each of the nurses and staff who treated me according to the indicated protocol. I would like to thank Nurse Elizabeth, who was the first one I saw when I woke up in recovery and who remained by my side, for her dedication and kindness in her care. To the nurse María who received me and said goodbye the next day, in the endocrine care unit, always aware of my progress, hourly, giving me the appropriate guidance and advice, and always aware of any needs I had. I will always remember them. Thanks to Obed, the night shift nurse, and the lead nurse, and to everyone who cared for me during my stay at the Hospital. I thank all the Hospital staff for their attention and congratulate them for being an excellent, disciplined, and very human group, highlighting the good treatment of patients. That's why I would recommend them to anyone who needed any of the services they offer. Eternally grateful Yazmin Simon Perez
