Rogers was extremely unhelpful in my personal experience. Desperate people go here who are struggling. They are met with unprofessional staff and a sense of hopelessness. My first day I sat down and thought to myself maybe this will help. When I spent an hour gluing foam feathers on a pinecone and writing down reasons I felt grateful on a flimsy piece of notebook paper that glimmer of hope I held died. The general rule that patients follow here is “act better until they let you leave”. Showing a sign of weakness or being honest meant another four weeks of worksheets and trying not to fall asleep in group. If I expressed I was doing badly, I was rarely met with support or something to address it with. In my experience when I communicated my issues and trauma I was instructed to do things like make a craft, have 10 conversations with staff, and do a self esteem worksheet making me describe in detail every reason I hate myself. I was never allowed to talk about why I felt so bad. It feels so good for just someone to tell you they are here for you, listening, and that they care. At Rogers they instructed us to do that to others, but rarely made patients feel that way. In conclusion, my outpatient providers were far more helpful than Rogers ever was. At the very least it felt like my outpatient providers cared somewhat, and did not have the nerve to tell a patient “You think I want to be here, I’m just getting paid”, which left me with the feeling that the majority of the staff have that mindset. Is Rogers helpful to some? Yes. I do believe so in some cases. Was it helpful to me? Not exactly. People reach out to this institution at the lowest point of their lives and should be met with sufficient care and support.

I went to Rogers Behavioral Health back in 2017, to be completely honest, this program was horrid. My 'therapist' was not the best, he had told me to "shut up" when he was talking with my mother and tried adding on to it and made me leave the room. To reinforce other things being said in the reviews, the staff here really push you way too far out of your comfort zone, which under certain circumstances can help with your anxiety. They have a system called 'exposures' that you do to 'help' you. A friend I am still in touch with to this day still has PTSD from this place, a certain staff member would steal her things when she wasn't around, and made her have to confront her about it, the main problem with this was the staff member was very passive aggressive for no reason, and told my friend she needed to be more assertive or she would not get it back. She still is missing a few things. She did NOT get them back after her discharge. Looking back at it, yes you need to be 'assertive' in life, but the way this was handled was horrible. Another issue I had with my so called therapist, he made me draw a mustache on my face using a marker and walk around with it the whole time I was there. It might not seem too bad, but at the time, I was very worried about my appearance. I was not okay with doing this, along with most of the other exposures, but they claim you "Need better care" and recommend an in-patient facility because you didn't want to draw a mustache on your upper lip. The process can work, but the way it is done here is honestly awful.

Not only a lack of accountability from previous letters. They want to collect lime light 💰 Dangerous facility. No accountability by providers. Your children will be alone 90% of the time , filling out papers and blowing bubbles for stress. All a well created facade for families desperate to help their loved ones.

My fiance was a patient here for about 2 weeks. For the first three days he saw one case worker as the one that he was assigned was on vacation. As we were told later this caseworker was new and gave him misinformation such as the workbooks that he was given were not allowed to go home so that he could look over them when he was not in the facility. He went for depression, anxiety and OCD having to do with his social interactions. The first week was fine, there were improvements. The beginning of the second week though they decided that they wanted to instead focus exclusively on his OCD and that they wanted to work on germ phobia. They worked him into a full blown panic to the point that he was afraid to eat or drink anything because they told him that the food and drinks had bacteria. He called the 24 hour helpline and was told to take antianxiety medication. This was in the middle of the night, 3 or 4 am. He stated to them over the phone that if he took it he didn't think that he'd be able to go in the morning. They said that was fine. His case worker called me that day and said that I should come in with him the next day so that we can discuss the treatment plan. My fiance was still in an anxious state and still not eating or drinking anything. He did take a further dose of the anti anxiety medication. When we went in the next morning we spoke with the case worker for a little while who said that he could not treat him that day because of the medication. He also wanted to evaluate him to see if he should go to a hospital. We ended up going home instead and were told to come back Monday. When we arrived on Monday we were told that he was being discharged due to his not following the medication guidelines. They also stated that had we not left when we did that he would have been taken to a psychiatric hospital for fear of him harming himself. So this facility deemed that he is potentially a threat to himself however they will not treat him. They worked him into a state of absolute panic that lasted for 6 days, made him far worse then he was when he arrived then refused to treat him, even for the damage that they did to him. What was done here is utterly and completely medically unethical.

Eight weeks at this place as an outpatient and we have nothing to show for it but a large bill. I honestly believe my child got no bettet and in some cases, worse. This exposure therapy nonsense they try doesnt work on everyone. But, they are gonna make it work, even if it means even more trauma. I filed a complaint, which came back as "no problem," according to a woman in their small office. Gotta stick up for her friend. I filed complaints with the BBB and their corporate offices. They don't care. There is a huge mental health shortage in this county and these people know it. Their patients are just cash cows!

The following message is transmitted at the request of local authorities. At 9:47 AM, Eastern Standard Time, a disaster of unknown type has occurred at the Rogers Behavioral Facility causing significant damage and failure to various power and communication systems in the surrounding areas. An immediate evacuation order has been issued for all residents within a 75 mile radius of the facility, and on-site military has been dispatched to provide assistance. Make sure to bring an emergency supply of food, water, clothing, first aid kit, flashlights with extra batteries, and battery powered radios. Follow local evacuation routes which have been marked by local authorities and only use one vehicle. Do not return to the warning area until the all clear has been given. If you are not in the evacuation zone stay where you are. If you are within the evacuation area and have no transportation locate your nearest police department or military officer. Do not use telephones or cell phones except in the case of emergencies. Stay tuned to local news media outlets for further details and information on this situation..

My wife is being treated there for borderline personality disorder at Rogers. The first part of the treatment went great. Her therapist John really learned and understood her issues and guided her. Half way through they switched her therapist to sierra and things have gotten significantly worse then when she started. My wife was in an episode and sierra instructed her to divorce me and stay in a hotel until treatment is over. Now I wonder if sierra is even remotely familiar with BPD. Very disappointed in the treatment this facility offers. We came to them for help and all we got was a bill.

The issues I have occurred during my second intake to rogers. Rogers changed my perception of therapy. I have never felt so rejected and disappointed in a PHP program. I went through 2 rounds of rogers PTSD program. I will give Rogers the kudos to having the amazing Holly who truly saved my life during my first round of rogers though she is an excellent trauma Behavioral Specialist that truly knew what she was doing. Though she left. She was replaced with Erin who was not trained to handle PTSD and it showed. I am a survivor of domestic violence, my ex took their own life and I went to Rogers for help. I talked about my trauma during my domestic abusive relationship, trying to work through this. I shared the most vulnerable moments of my trauma, the next day they tell me they're kicking me out of the program due to my issues and that they would no longer help me. Stating they were not equipped-- keep in mind Rogers is one of the only PTSD programs in the greater Tampa area. Erin and staff-- to you both, you made me feel so awful about myself. I feel colder, and I can't talk to anyone anymore because of you. You made me feel broken, you made me feel like I shouldn't bother getting help-- because when they hear what I went through, i will be another basket case and rejected. The problem wasn't me, it was the inappropriate and poor management of the PTSD program. You should not allow a program to be run by an individual who cannot handle trauma. I do not care the circumstances. In addition to this all, my first day during intake, I expressed my SA and DV trauma to the psychiatrist (Dr. Etwaroo). She spent this time on her phone scrolling facebook while I expressed my worst moments. This is the level of professionalism this establishment has. It is disappointed to its highest degree-- trauma patients never asked for what happened to them, and if you are going to be a refuge for us do better. This is the dirty work, imagine being the person who has to check themselves into hospitalization for it. Trauma work is not easy, there's nothing beautiful about it. Don't have a PTSD program if you can't provide the proper staff. You wronged me. And if you give me a default response it shows your lack of accountability and that y'all really don't care. Hold yourself to your own words and own up to your mistakes and take accountability for the hurt you've done to people.

After coming from the residential OCD program in Oconomowoc (which ruined my life again) I was hoping for the best. I was physically assaulted by a staff member, yelled at for no reason, and was given no help whatsoever. After going to 2 rogers programs, DON'T GO HERE. I am having trauma and have developed multiple new forms of ocd, severe anxiety disorder, and depression all from my stay here. DO NOT GO HERE, ALL THEY WANT IS YOUR MONEY.

I was there the summer of 2021. They messed up my medication and told me not to take it which only hurt me. And I had a disagreement with a staff member trying to get my lunch. After that they kicked me out saying that my spiritual gifts that I’ve had my whole life even when I was 3, they said it was schizophrenia. Schizophrenia is an adult illness that can be triggered by marijuana and I don’t smoke. My spiritual gifts are good, I’ve gotten good things out of them and they give me hope for tough times. Rogers is dangerous, it only hurts people it. They never helped me get over my anxieties and it never helped me for other things that I have. They even emailed me sending me a test about impulsive behaviors. That was very rude and disrespectful. For the comment that I read about the fiancé, there’s no bacteria in food, they were lying. Do not go to Rogers.

If you are reading this, you probably already know the struggles of finding quality mental health care that takes insurance. I do realize that I am privileged to have insurance, and that there are many out there who do not and to whom mental health care is unapproachable. I am providing some very personal details here to demonstrate my experience and the effectiveness of this program. I tried three programs and for various reasons each of them failed to be effective. A friend referred me to Rogers Behavioral Health (RBH). I started here 6 weeks ago. I came here with severe depression, anxiety and PTSD all caused by a traumatic event that occured 20 months prior to starting the program at RBH. RBH takes a very different approach compared to the other programs that I experienced. They focus on the whole person from a mental health point of view taking over all treatments including medication management. If you can change your reactions to the disease (triggers, stressors, etc.) through the learning of proven behaviors you can change your life for the better. I was suffering when I started the program. I had isolated myself from the world for 1.5 years and did not think that I had any chance of getting "better." At the beginning of the program the lessons felt unapproachable and confusing however the passion and commitment of the therapists convinced me to continue on the journey. After the first week everything that I was being taught, started coming together and making more sense. I had to study and put in a serious amount of work and further practice the new behaviors onsite and at home every day. Every day that went by I was learning additional behaviors. I realized that I had to commit myself to the program to see the results. I made that commitment and I saw and experienced the world around me starting to change. However, it was not the world changing, it was the changing of my behaviors and how I approached the world. Slowly and steadily my outbursts started decreasing and my depression and anxiety started easing. My migraines went from daily to none whatsoever. Am I cured, yes and no. I am convinced that if I were not to practice these learned behaviors I could slip backwards. My commitment is to continue to practice them daily, as you would with taking any medication. Thanks to RBH and my hard work I have found myself again!

I waited a long time to post this review, because I didn't want it to be purely out of anger and grief. My sweet PANS/ PANDAS is now doing great (knock on wood). We were lucky to have a beautiful therapist and supportive grandparents who helped us through the darkest times, and he has finally gone into remission after five rounds of IVIG. All of this is in spite of Rogers Tampa, not because of them. No one displayed any true concern for my child while we were there. We were placed in a small room for the entire day with no windows and no movement. In the several days we were there we saw his provider for much less than an hour. After a few days,of uncomfortably talking about his symptoms in front of him, and giving him one assignment from a book we had already read together repeatedly, they gave up on him. My son was a classic PANDAS case. I just don't understand why Rogers would accept PANDAS patients without having any intention of helping them. It was beyond heartbreaking. Rogers, please treat your PANDAS. My son's illness should have lasted a few months, but lasted years due to lack of treatment. Rogers was an unfortunate part of that experience. We are so incredibly grateful for his recovery, but he will never get his lost years back.

Rogers Tampa was there for me during the darkest times of my life. It's quite possible I wouldn't be alive today if not for the care of their superb, caring staff. They not only diagnosed my illnesses and helped ne deal with past trauma, but taught me ways to live and find meaning and joy. If you're struggling, feeling hopeless, don't hesitate to get help. Rogers can do that for you.

Rogers changed my life for the better. I was in PHP depression recovery and then moved to the OCD/anxiety IOP. This was the first place to EVER 1. talk to me seriously about my OCD and 2. provide me with evidence-based treatment for it (ERP). I learned so much and saw a major reduction in my depression symptoms, and OCD as well which I’m now working on with an outside ERP specialist. The program was a ton of work and very challenging but you get out what you put in. Staff were mostly receptive to my feedback about what was working for me or not, there were some things that seemed kind of pointless but couldn’t be changed because they were part of the program but I would not put the majority of things I did here in that category. Alex and Sierra in particular are amazing clinicians and helped me get my life back.

I can’t say enough about this great facility. My daughter had such severe anxiety that she had to drop out three times, but each time she was taken back. After 2 years, she still says how life-changing the experience was. She started a business after leaving the facility. I almost fainted seeing her interacting with people and enjoying the experience! This after staying in her bedroom for at least 20 hours a day! She continues to talk to some of her friends who experience similar issues using techniques she learned at this facility. Unfortunately, these types of facilities are few and far between, and they cost a bundle! I put her through the university, but I feel this was the most useful and precious money I ever spent!!!

This hospital should be ashamed of themselves. i called for a loved over a week ago, filled out the online paperwork, was told I'd get a call back and I have heard nothing. Shame on you. People are hurting and your lack of follow-up is destructive. Shame on you.

I can't praise the Rogers team enough! I am so thankful we found this eating disorder program for my daughter. Even during a pandemic, they were able to fully treat her, via telehealth. Anorexia was new to our household, but Ms. Rachel, Ms. Christina, Ms. Marah, and the entire team, not only treated my daughter but EDUCATED our family so we could be a part of my daughter's growth & recovery. They provided my family knowledge, tools, and techniques to help my daughter even after her discharge. During my daughter's time with Rogers, her "team" felt more like friends or family members which made the experience feel real and not "clinical." They truly care about their patients and they even celebrated my daughter's victories as if they were their own. I could go on and on about how amazing this program was for us and how much we adore the staff but it wouldn't even do our experience justice. The short of it is this: the Rogers Eating Disorder team brought my girl back to life and I will be forever grateful. There is no other treatment program like it. My hope is that anyone struggling finds the same guidance and support we did.

Summer 2022 - I saw a lot of mixed reviews for Rogers Tampa, but I needed help for a family member and decided to try it. I am very glad I did. My family member is a teen suffering from contamination OCD and anxiety who was recommended for ERP therapy for his OCD. Before going to Rogers for the PHP and IOP program the family member did have ERP treatment through telehealth using NOCD online therapy which was an excellent treatment start. Once starting at Rogers for 6 weeks of PHP followed by 1 week of IOP, within 1 week his therapist Mykenzie built very good rappport with him. She understood him and how he might try to avoid things. She built his heirarchy and challenged him with exposures. I could see how he was progressively working with her over the weeks. Therapy was hard, but he worked at it and didn't give up and she did not let him. Homework exposures were hard and time consuming, but they worked. He was not always happy, there were tears and initial resistance, but he could see that it was working for him over time and he committed. He continued to make good progress with the therapy without any medication. Our family wanted him to try medication too because based on all our research and in talking with the team it might help him even more. The team did not push it and my family member was reluctant to try medication for many weeks. As it got closer to the completion of PHP he decided to try medication in the end and the results were even more amazing. His mood was improved, as was his sense of humor and overall demeanor. The combination of a low dose medication (which may only be temporary we don't know yet) and the ERP as well as individual and group therapy really worked for him. He also successfully learned coping skills on how to deal with his OCD and anxiety in situations. I know that everyone has different needs, but for my family member the results were fantastic. He only needed 1 week of IOP because he progressed quickly through his heirarchy at the end. It has been almost 3 months since he completed treatment. He is back in high school, doing terrrific, happy and funny with no visible signs of OCD or anxiety. We know it is there, but it is completely managed and he knows how to deal with it now. We could not be happier with the results and the team we worked with at Rogers - Mykenzie, Katie, Dr. Ramos, Tina as well as the rest of the support staff. We would make the same decision to send our family member there again if we had to do it all over again. I encourage people to take 5 minutes to write a review especially if it is positive, that would have really helped us months ago.

Thank you Rogers! I am a strong believer that God and your team saved my son. My son had tried to attempt suicide twice, went through years of depression, OCD, ODD, ADHD and Psychosis. Thanks to this facility my son was able to interact with others going through similar things as he was. He found a family at Rogers but most importantly my son found himself. He is a stronger person now, has learned coping skills and other ways to gain positive attention without deterring to bad attention seeking behavior. The therapist were great in so many ways. His Psychiatrist was amazing and was able to remove him off medications he did not even need once they discovered the true root of the problems associated with his behavior. The family therapist worked closely with me in putting together a reward system that would work with Ivan’s Diagnosis. I will forever be grateful for Rogers and recommend them hands down. My son is discharged today but this place will hold a special place in our hearts forever.

Rogers was a place that really made me feel like home. It gave me skills that I will use for a lifetime. It brought me from a place of uncertainty and lead me to a brighter more confident place. The staff and counselors here are caring, compassionate and most of all extremely knowledgeable and competent. I highly recommend Rogers to people who are struggling with their mental health. Rogers is the best place to be in my opinion when dealing with mental health. Rogers was able to stabilize me and give me hope for the future.

We are so very thankful for Roger’s. We were very apprehensive about having our son begin the PHP for OCD. We are grateful for the knowledge he gained and the support and guidance he received. It was difficult and dark in the beginning, but the positive outcomes were well worth it. ERP works! If you’re looking into Roger’s for help and unsure if it’s the best option- please take the leap. We are forever grateful for the excellent staff! Thank you for helping our son learn the necessary tools to live a happier & healthier life! Our family appreciates you more than we can say!

We never thought in a million years that we would be a part of a place like this! As hard as the past 2 months have been, I wouldn't change it for anything! God worked through Rogers to give my son his life back and to give us our lives back. OCD, specifically Scrupulosity and Just Right OCD robbed us of so much joy and caused immense stress. Rogers was the best place for us! When you first start out, it is weird, it is frightening, it is hard to trust, but the rewards are immeasurable. Just like with anything in life, you get out of it what you put into it. ERP takes work and it's hard, but again, the rewards are Amazing!! The Rogers team really cares and they want nothing more than for you to get better. The treatment rooms are small, but you don't spend all day in there. You move around, you have groups... If you or a family member is struggling with mental health, don't hesitate to give Rogers a call. A special thank you to Katie H, Tina M and Dr. Ramos, but all of the staff are wonderful!

My wife had been going there for PHP and IOP treatment and I have to say they have done such an excellent job helping her get back to her old self! She had been struggling and facing some very challenging difficulties but she is doing so well now and I can't thank enough the wonderful staff that they have! The reception staff is always so kind, nice, and pleasant to talk to, the providers really know their stuff and are very wonderful and friendly, and it's been so worth the long drive to and from where we live because of how professional and friendly everyone is! This is definitely without a doubt the place to go for someone that needs help! Thank you so much to the Rogers staff for helping my wife!!!

Rogers needs to do psych evals prior to hiring. The Tampa location has a therapist who CLEARLY has narcissistic personality disorder, maybe even is a malignant narcissist. He's dismissive, gaslighty, sadistic, and twists things to fit his own narrative. He then shares that narrative with others (abuse by proxy) to prevent patients from getting the proper help they need. He even lied in his notes. Early discharge was the only answer. Still seeking help elsewhere because he was traumatizing.
