Found this place after picking up my friends from the airport on our trip last spring and it was AMAZING! The interior is cute and cozy and though they were pretty busy when we showed up (it was probably around peak lunch-time-ish) we were seated pretty quickly. For never having Georgian food, I can't say I have a standard/frame of reference but our meal was great! My friends and I sampled two dishes and they were both delicious. Service was great and efficient -- would definitely be coming back here the next time I'm in town!

Be prepared for a 15-20 minute wait on food but it's worth it! The boats are delicious. I enjoyed a Stroganoff boat with 1 yolk and extra pickles. My companion enjoyed the veggie boat. Coffee was good but no option for cream. Still, amazing location and definitely worth trying if you've never had this Georgian delicacy.

I had no idea what I was eating and at the same time I knew what I was eating. My first time trying Georgian cuisine and I was not disappointed! When I entered, I didn't see any one available for taking orders. Eventually a big tablet caught my attention and whispered I should order food. Simple menu. Reasonable prices. Contactless Pay. Easy ordering. Not bad. Okay I'm in. Pretty place to eat in. The wait for food took some time but worth the wait. The boat dishes / Khachapuri enclosed a collection of ingredients ready for dipping the bread. Each piece inside this container graciously called me and asked, are you ready to eat? My stomach could not handle the large portion size. Clean bathrooms too. They care :)

We liked it a lot. Ordered a stroganoff boat and one Veggie both were great but it is huge meal, one is good for two. And both came out $41. You should order it by yourself and they will call you when it is ready!

Alright so the food is amazing here. Consistently amazing. Especially the vegetarian one is my absolute favorite. Make sure to watch how to eat Khachapuri because proper way of eating makes it most delicious and fun. Last two times I went, the staff were pretty rude. You don't have to interact with them because ordering is online but when I was waiting for my order (and I wasn't early, the food was just late), they would just stare at me, and made me feel unwelcome. It wasn't anything specific so maybe it was just my imagination :)

I think for the hype it is I was pretty disappointed with this restaurant. I have been hearing and hearing about how amazing Skalka is and finally after years I ended up here - ordered the stroganoff boat. I was not expecting farmers cheese in it ( I can't stand it actually) so that ruined the entire experience for me. The beef flavor was great but I think I would have loved it more if it was a different type of cheese.. Also I wish their drink selection was better.

Such a nice place! Very clean, awesome quick kiosk system for the order. Khachapuri tastes super close to homemade ones, we greatly enjoyed our visit (and don’t forget the great view on Seattle piers!).

August 2023: Was very intrigued by the Georgian bread breakfast. Ordered a cup of coffee ☕ and the veggie bread boat. The dish took about five to ten minutes to cook. When it came out, it was nice and hot! The crust was warm and fluffy. The cheese and egg were super delicious 😋. The veggies had this savory tomato based sauce that was excellent 👌👍. Overall, really enjoyed my breakfast. I would definitely come back again for more delicious Georgian bread boats.

Good quality food but pricey! Staff aren’t really nice and helpful You have to order on a tablet and pick your food up! They are expecting a tip for the service also which is not really a service! Nice for experiencing Georgian food

Looking for a place for breakfast I stumbled across the gem! I placed an order online right at 9:00am when they opened and when I picked it up just 10 minutes later there was a line out the door. I ordered the cheese and the bacon/bean and they were amazing, especially the cheese. I will 100% be back next time I’m in town and will be trying that stroganoff next. Highly recommend, a MUST try!

Skalka earned all the stars! The food was delicious. Food and beverage was easy to order with a self-service kiosk. Additional service wasn’t necessary, but available if needed. The atmosphere was especially pleasant during the afternoon. The tall ceilings and soft tones made it a great place to wind down after walking around Seattle. The menu was limited but direct. I ordered the Chicken Khachapuri and my only disappointment was not being able to try the others.

Super tasty and close to the ferry terminal, so its a nice place to grab a quick snack. Very tasty, creamy, cheesy Khachapuri. You can even order it with extra eggs, which I recommend. I'll be back, probably many more times in the near future.

Wow. We split the chicken khachapuri and it was plenty for 2 people for breakfast. It came out hot and fresh. The bread boat was crusty on the outside, soft on the inside, perfect for dipping. The Adjaruli side with the soft runny egg and cheese was mild and delicious. The chicken side was tomatoey and a bit chili like. Both delicious. The restaurant is self serve, clean, with a chill vibe. Highly recommend!

Skalka Restaurant is an absolute must-try! I had the pleasure of visiting on my last day in Seattle, and it's undoubtedly one of the best brunch spots in the city. The staff here is incredibly friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall great experience. I loved the personal touch of framed Instagram posts from past customers on the wall, giving it a unique and memorable atmosphere. Ordering on the tablet was convenient, and the menu, though concise with five options, offers something for everyone. I opted for the stroganoff boat, and it did not disappoint! One pro tip: Be sure to mix everything inside your bread and take that first bite with a fork before dipping your bread into the center. You'll be surprised at how satisfying and filling it is, even though it may look small at first glance. If you're in the area, I wholeheartedly recommend stopping by Skalka Restaurant. It's a 5-star experience all the way!

TLDR: though a bit pricey, the food quality was on point and it was good to try! We ordered one “bread bowl” to share and it came half classic with cheese and butter and egg, and half with beef stroganoff. The meat was plentiful, the cheese was oozing and the bread was fresh! The yellow interior reminded me of Scandinavia though I know it’s a Georgian restaurant. Come check it out

Great food but the wait is too long. You cannot reserve a table and I don't recommend it for spontaneous walk in visit. Make sure you order in advance before you go there. I wish they had higher capacity oven and more staff. Anyway, the food is good.

This place is delicious 🍽 I am a huge fan Stroganoff. It is delicious but they all are. Their drink selection is not as extensive but they have Juice and coffee 🛎 Wait time is not bad since you self order. There are limited tables 🚻 they have bathrooms 🅿️ no parking, so you need to street park

The food is good but I waited 50 minutes for an order of two Khachapuris. I'm not sure why it took so long, the menu is quite simple. The atmosphere is quite casual, certainly not set up for an hour and a half visit. I likely won't return because of the wait time.

Skalka is such a welcome addition to the neighborhood! I had never tried Georgian food prior to coming here and I was very impressed. The khachapuri is extremely delicious and very filling (I could have used a nap after eating one). Depending on how hungry you are, consider splitting one! The soup dumplings are delicious too and were also a bit of a learning experience (learning how to eat them without making a mess). I've been coming here since they first opened and service has been nothing but friendly, even through the roughest days of the pandemic.

These heavenly masterpieces are made fresh to order and are consistently delicious every time. They take a few minutes for bake in the back (the wait is well worth it). They are large enough to share but I have eaten one all to myself and surprisingly, I did not feel overly full. My favorite is the Beef Stroganoff Skalka which equals 100% pure comfort. The atmosphere is clean and simple with counter service and self-seating.

Dropped in for picking up breakfast. There is a self-service order kiosk. Staff was in the kitchen most of the time, so wasn't sure if my order went through, but everything went fine. Had the Lobiani boat, which tasted like a yummy doughy pizza. Give it a try !

Basically a pizza but... not. Dough, cheese, sauce. They're $15 bucks a pop and might not look big but they're super filling. The dough was amazing and a good texture and consistency. It was a cute shop but we got it to-go. It's a quick walk from Pike Place so I might consider coming back here again if I'm in the neighborhood.

Walked all the way to have this khachapuri. Totally worth it, loved how dough was super fresh and crunchy and the fillings were super tasty. Service was pretty fast. Located near a pier and the view is splendid. Price is also great and size is large enough for one person, we got one chicken and one veggie, both were super tasty.

My family and I experienced this fantastic restaurant last month. We ordered chicken khachapuri and enjoyed it until the last bite. Kids had a lot of fun eating soft, cheese-filled bread boat with chicken in it while watching the Seattle Great Wheel (a giant Ferris wheel at Pier 37) from inside the restaurant. I like Seattle's Soda too! I wish they could add more menu items in the future. I can't wait to visit again 😊
